Hell of a overclock u got there m8 :toast: :banana4:
Nice OC´s "macci" and "the stilt"...just insane...
Amazing! Good job guys! :toast:
mere words cannot describe how sick that is :slobber:
I was just wondering if you guys ever thought of trying to use something colder than ln2? Like I know that neon, hydrogen, and the coldest is helium and if you guys ever thought of trying to use them. I think maybe the hardest problem would be trying to get a hold of some of them. What do you think liquid helium which it's boiling point at 4K would do to a processor.
i really doubt that temps are holding them back...
btw, :banana4:  :YIPPIE:  :banana4:
Congrats guys!
It seems atm. that Akiba's forums got hacked :/ pathetic little ******* have no respect for true overclockers...
that's a lousy thing to do!!
jerks.
macci's site was hacked back when XS was hacked.... its not new.
Congrats, truly amazing.
Just awesome. Congrats guys :toast:
Insane Clock Guys.
Grats to you two !

Ground-breaking results! Great going Team Akiba! :toast:

You mentioned you couldn't get a screenshot at 6100 Mhz, because of paint. Why don't you use some small and light screenshot program, for taking shots? One that saves a shot directly to the hd, with one keypress.
Edit: Oh well, too slow again I guess.
I think they were too busy drizzling LN2 into the tube to worry about that;)
Crazy  nice going guys.
Oh my god... 6Ghz...
Isnt your 18k 3dmark05 run at "only" 4.4Ghz??? Hehe...
That is insane... GREAT work... God damn... 6Ghz... And earlier this year i didnt beleave when people said that it was going to get clopse to 6Ghz...
More! More! :D Ghehe ;)
Congrats Macci & Teh Stilt.
We wanna see benchmarks :banana4:

What are we at now, 84k views?
Let's throw a party at 100 000 views, k?
lol, im for that
im sure with ln someone can get an amd chip to 4ghz
welcome to XtremeSystems RTarget, GhostRider and funnyperson1 :) :toast:
im sure you can reach 7ghz and even if its only for a screenshot, with todays prescotts. we just need a board and psu that can supply enough energy, even the new 775 boards pmw's get hot under load :D
a0chicken, will there be tacos? :D your place? hehehehe
and hawainpanda, maybe pedro rocha and ricky can reach 4ghz and if its only for a screenshot with their fx chip. they are at 3.6ghz+ with still less than 2v now :D
holy crap... its official, this is the most viewed topic in "xtreme overclocking" o.o
thanks slashdot ;)
7ghz might be a bit of a stretch... dont think we'll see that for a while.

well, Nick corrected the article...
CHIP FIRM Intel's much loved, cool and calm Prescott chip has been overclocked to more than 6009 MHz.
According to a techi forum at xtreme systems, here, a 19 year old Finnish techie, who goes by the handle of Stilt, took his P4 560, 3.60GHz, added much liquid nitrogen into his cooling system and got the Prescott to its blistering speed. A chap called Macci is also behind these cunning engineering moves.
Of course you are not going to be able to run a Prescott at that speed in a box. In fact it is a moot point if you can run one at conventional speeds in a box, and so Stilt has published a picture of his set up here.
You can just make out the Prescott under that six foot chimney stack of a cooling system and the pipes from the Hoover Dam. µ
hehe, man...amazing macce and stilt :P ur in the tabloids !

100 000 views, no wonder I am on page 7 ..
Excellent acheivement, always good to see another 1k in Mhz and 10k in 3dmark come around the clock.
How does a 5.5GHz Prescott compare to a 3+ GHz FX in 3dmark ?
On another note the only Abit I ever managed to get UGURU working with clockgen was the VIA Pro AMD K8 board.
Regards
Andy
*:banana::banana::banana:s his pants* Macci, dont put a hole in the mobo with the soldering iron. I cant wait to see some benchies when it s stable. That will be interesting. This will deffinetly one to go to the hexus pifast record books. Wonder if it will topple the FX53's.
Nice work Macci. You are the best.
I#m expacting the competitions between the Fx @ 3.6Ghz and this P4 :D
This definitely deserves a :toast:
Nice work gents!
Give me that 18x and i do same thing :D

Didn't you know? Just last week God came down and created version 3.0 of nitrogen gas. lol :p:
btw, I'm coming out of the closet, the lurker closet I mean! And to commemorate this moment, when I run my BFG Geforce 6800GT at 415/1.12 is a load temp 85C safe?
btw, Finland rocks!! The Monty Python Flying Circus agress.
excellent
Definatly a sick overclock....
niiice, too xtreme :toast:
I wonder what the AMD equivalent would be?
well, they hit 25s, and tom holck hit 24s with 3.4ghz i think, so maybe its equal to 3.3ghzQuote:

And I'm guessing this LN3 has a temperature of 0K which is at absolute zero and we can clock to any speed we want because everything has stopped moving now :).Quote:

Unbelievable work!!! I'm interested to know at what point you think the Prescott started outperforming your best EE marks. Any idea?
duh, on both counts.Quote:
