Only with tests I will be sure.......As far as I consider , MY cirquit will follow ALL of the mobo's VTT out there as for DDR.....For DDR2 now : We have to test that before the final PCB shows off coz as I said DDR Maximizer WILL WORK with DDR2 Rams too......NO EXTRA money for other revision......ONLY a few money for the DDR2 PCB.......That's all..... ;)Quote:

you should change the name of this thread to:
"beta tester begging thread!"
When will the sale of these fine overclocking devices begin? I just killed my OCZ DDR Booster while tyring to mod it to fit my a64 mobo, so I'm eager to look into yours. ;)
At the end of this week , first "complete" sample will be ready........After that , I'll make another 5 to 10 pieces of them for testers.......Small changes will take place though before the final release......The final release of it depents from testing and small changes...We'll see.....Quote:

Late today I'll post photos of the Front Panel PCB ready to work........ ;)
Added on it : 1. a microswitch for DDR/DDR2 configuration....... 2. a microswitch for ON-OFF VTT for mobos which can support VTT(OFF) and for mobos which can't(ON)...... ;)
Beautiful :slobber:Quote:

I can't wait :D
When they are ready to go maybe we can gather up a bunch of orders to save everyone in US on shipping. More $ for you and our bills. :) Keep us posted..., sounds like something I'll want.
And who were saying that it was some copie?:D. That is just too much different, and have much more benefits over the DDR booster... Of course, if it works as said;), but I have no doubt about it.
hipro hope you patented this :D
I'm looking forward to it Hipro. ;)
I'm amazed. Period.
Superb work, Hipro :D

I've looked at the DIMM pinout, and I can only see one pin which carries Vtt. Will this pin be capable of carrying enough current without causing damage to the RAM slot/motherboard? I guess that the fact that only one pin is put on the DIMM slot could indicate that the pin is not required to carry a high current. Looks good btw.
welcome to the forums :D :toast:
You may have measured the VRef pin......Not the VTT........No pins for VTT ON Ram chips....... ;)Quote:

P.S. Welcome to Xtreme....... :toast:
Hipro, can I beta test as an A64 users? :D I promise I'm smart.
removed to clear the legal positions.
thread is back now, but please keep it clean and on topic :)
Thread is back on in another section but anyway......We'll continue....... :D
I'll update later on....... ;)
NOW.........This is the "final release" of the front panel.......Some changes where done so as to "cover" everyone......
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/T..._final_png.png
As you can see there have been placed THREE more swiches ON-ON and three DUAL leds..... :D
The switch between the Led Displays and the dipswitches is for : PUSH ON = DDR2 support - PUSH OFF("on" in real) = DDR support..... ;)
The dual led below it will show the configuration of it......PUSH ON = Red , PUSH OFF = green.......
The other switch below the dipswitches(left one) , is for VTT ON and OFF......For mobos which can track the VTT , should be OFF and for mobos which can't support VTT(ex. ABIT IC7) should be ON......You can leave it to ON with no harm at all even for mobos which can track the VTT.......
The middle dual led is RED when we have PUSHED ON the VTT switch and green when this switch is in OFF......
The right switch (next to trimmer) is for : When ON = dip swiches working - When OFF = Trimmer working.....
Another dual led is placed for indicating that.....When ON = green for dip swiches (aka = safe :) ) and when OFF = red (aka = danger :) )......
Voltaged via dip switches for DDR are :
2.85 - 2.90 - 2.95 - 3.00 - 3.05 - 3.10 - 3.15 - 3.20 - 3.25 - 3.30 - 3.35 - 3.40 - 3.45 - 3.50 - 3.55 - 3.60
Voltaged via dip switches for DDR2 are :
2.25 - 2.30 - 2.35 - 2.40 - 2.45 - 2.50 - 2.55 - 2.60 - 2.65 - 2.70 - 2.75 - 2.80 - 2.85 - 2.90 - 2.95 - 3.00
Voltaged via trimmer for DDR are maxed out at 4.1Vmem(Vdimm)
Voltaged via trimmer for DDR2 are maxed out at 3.5Vmem(Vdimm)
How it looks???........DON'T ask me to add anything else on it coz it's just "full".......no spare place on the PCB anymore...... :D
i think i will get this :D
Looking forward to pricing and availability info
A64 abuser :D
One step from final release now ehh ?!? :D
Post some photoes George and let us admire it,till we buy it :slobber: :toast: :slobber:
Thanks guys...... :D
One thing I have forgoten though.......Another switch ON-ON for picking either led displays to show Vmem or VTT........I'll fix it ...... :D
Shi(f)t Samael....Your flag is a lot biger than mine on your avatar....... :D :toast:Quote:

hipro, what about for abit kv8/ pro mobos with only 2 dimm slots? i wonder if theres another way to interface with dimm voltage
looks good hipro!
what about the 5.2" panel? got it ready?
i think you should make it an extra part that doesnt automatically come with it since not all people need it and would like to save money.
I want one now :)
LolQuote:

(but size doesnt matter any ways... :p: )
Sorry there is no solution about that....exept starting soldering cables from Maximizer to the mobo.... ;)Quote:

As for 5.25 panel , I think a user of our local forum has gave us a good and cheep solution......In white and black colors can be found..... ;)

LINK OF IT.....
hipro, do you have the voltage stabilization that the OCZ booster features to provide "cleaner" power to the RAM?
Not to answer for Hipro because he's way ahead of me in the intelligence area but I'd assume his power is filtered so it could be said(if he wanted to) that the voltage of his device is "cleaner".
(power filters are not anything new... in fact they date back to before the big bang) ;)
No I have NOT built their cirquit on it.......It's completely different.......All I can say is that the Maximizer is full of big electrolytic capacitors and RF chokes (rounded ferrite beds with coil - ex. as mobo's chokes for VCore) ALL over the circuit....Stabilization though is another thing than filltering...Stabilization is for the voltage not to drop or going up and down with the loads and filltering(that matters a lot too) , is for this voltage to be "clean" without any spikes e.t.c..... ;)Quote:

A little bit more, and you could do a kind of adapter that goes in the AGP slot, and you connect your Video Card on it, and you can control the voltage:D. But I doubt it whould be possible since you need to regulate the voltage from the IC....
you mean vgpu and vddr? impossible to control from the agp slot, except for very old cards like g2mx maybe wich dont have self regulating circuits.
maybe some cables in the package that are ready to be plugged into mobo... i wouldnt mind paying extra :cool:Quote:

That is no problem at all....and no extra money needed.... ;) :DQuote:

Nice!!!1 so i would plug into the dimm pins of onto fets?
hipro your just a regular dude thats turning into a overclocking company!!!!
Liking how this is progressing so far. Now here is the big Q.
Does it use -5v rail...? OCZ DDR booster doesn't work with PSU without it and any 12v ATX v2.0 I've seen doesn't carry this... -_-;
Something to consider defiitely.
[EDIT] Found out they use it only for display... hopefully you are not using -5v line for anything :P
Read my LAST sentence. You will understand that I knew it already;)Quote:

you said you doubt it, not that you know it wont work. if you knew it wouldnt work then why did you post about it? :PQuote:

hipro, if you can just leave some small spikes on the maximizer where people can solder or plug their cables to. then people can solder cables or use those grabbers to connect the maximizer to the boards without even soldering! and they dont lose a memory slot!
any updates or progressions so far? :)
NO adaptors for DDR Maximizer needed.......It feeds through a regular 4 pin conector through PSU as our CD Roms , Hard disk , e.t.c. , are feeded......No worries about that.......It "produces" it's own -5Volts from an internal oscilator.... ;)Quote:

I have already figured about that......Someone who knows what he is doing , can cut the conector that goes from front panel to the DDR PCB cirquit and solder those cables at some particular spots on mobo......With this way we have all of our Ram banks free......With this way also , we can built a "Multicontroler" that could control : VAGP , Vmem , VTT , Vchip , e.t.c. .... ;) :DQuote:

Grabbers won't help as for the Rams coz at 3.6Vmem(Vdimm) a SINGLE 256MB with 8 chips on board and at full load , it needs at least 3 - 3.5 Amps of power(current).... So if you have a 2 x 512MB Rams and 3.6Volts , you'll need at least 12 Amps of power....I think that no grabber could handle such a current....So the only way is the cables to be soldered on mobo.....
Be pattient....I have also other work to do..... ;) :)Quote:

NOICE work my greek man.
soldering is no problem for me, im just worried, are there any chip or mo'fets on mobo thqat could be heatsinked? i mean vdimm mosfets? is it a good idea for me to get some good ramsinks and just coat my board in them, on the importtant places of course.
also, what does vagp gain?
I just posted it because....... I dont actually know why.....:D.
Hipro, something could be done for the no soldering..... You could start some kind of plastic "blocks", and make holes in it that will fit the pins of DDR slot backside, and make wires go to it, and could sell it the same way the Font panel is sold....
im definately gonna want one of these maximizers when you finally release them. hopefully it'll work with that new DFI nf3 250gb board.
Hipro5, don't forget to test hardly the DFI Lanparty mobos cos that OVP issue that ocurred with the ocz booster.
U P D A T E
READY the Very-very first sample of Front Panel....... :D

About it's size?....... :)
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/M...Image6_jpg.jpg
Let's go now for........Main board........Soooooonnnnn........... :D
EDIT : I put ANOTHER switch ON-ON on it with VERY difficulty for the Display showing Vmem(Vdimm) , VTT (ON-ON)........ ;)
IF a mobo has an OVP (Over Power Protection) , there's nothing to be done about it with any external cirquits........As a matter of fact I was trying to mod it(OVP) on my ABIT IC7 - the OVP of the VAGP = 2 Volts sharp - and I blew it up.......Bye bye my good old mobo.....I will always love you... :(Quote:

Keep up the good work buddy!! :slobber:
damn that looks awesome hipro5 :slobber:
Can't wait till you get it finished, i prolly gonna order a few lol
wow that looks so professional. well done. i cant wait for this. hey could u pussh the ddr1 button for ddr2 ram, that would be dangerous it could send 3xv through ur ddr2 and fry it.
hey p4renthernon you can just cut the leg of one of the vdimm mosfets and it will stop the ovp, theres a mod like that for the 8rda+ for high vcore. i dont no anything about the lanprty but you could google it
Thanks guys....... :toast:
There will be no problem with the switches coz in case that someone wants to change something via a switch , he has to put a tiny screw driver into a hole(tiny too) so as to puch them on or off......NOTHING off all these components are "outside" the front panel......Just be patient and you'll see...... ;)
Wow, I've only just joined this thread.
Good luck to you Hipro!
This is a brilliant idea, I'd be delighted to test it on SKT370 :D and a IC7MAX3 and P4C800ED.
BTW Hipro YGPM.
nice one hipro!
Cant wait to have one :)
BTW wat is the translation of that poll ?
Να το κατασκευάσω???
You do not have permission to vote on this poll.
Ναι φτιάξτο το ρημάδι να ησυχάσουμε....... 81 94.19%

Great hipro5!
A realy geek greak. Much better than the ocz booster cus it's bh-5 optimized. Would you sent me a sample for the overclockers.at forum to test an recomend it to our austrian and german members?
Thanks .......It's a poll which asks : Should I manufacture it ?.... and answers : a. Manufacture the god d*mn thing to get on with it.....and b. Don't Know - Don't anwer... :)Quote:

wow that looks sweet! ...very handy LEDs
when will u have both done? (first samples).
Sorry to sound really stupid about this but what attatment needs to be done to the motherboard?
I gather there will ne a DIMM insert but will there need to be other soldering done??
Manufacture it definitely :)
In the mean time, sell it to the people on this forum while manufacturing process gets lined up :)
Unless price is cost prohibitive (which I doubt you will be charging too much on R&D cost... eheheh), I will definitely buy few from you :) BTW, was wondering if there is enough space to get 12v, 5v, 3v readings if that is all possible :) Considering the look and size of it, seems possible that simple jumper wiring and some switch to read different volt setup could help people reading voltages :). I should just hack the one of multimeter and put switch on it some time and leave it on front panel so I can check various voltages without having to open up the darned case :P
This can be done BUT only for the 12 and 5 Volts lines not the 3.3V.......Coz we will then have to involve with too much cables , thing that we don't want to......I can change the switch for the Vmem(Vdimm) - VTT and put a button instead with an IC that could show us : 12V - 5V - Vdimm - VTT ...Quote:

One thing I was thinking was that old AT power connector lead jumper... nothing more than just a wire with flat pin to connect to orange line there for 3.3v :P Have molex connected to ground, 12, 5, 3.3v line to measure using multimeter outside case but it would be nice to utilize the panel since it is already there :) (not to mention cool factor ;))
Just awesome buddy! :slobber:
When I can help yout with this, I'm always available! ;)
If I use this thing with my IC7 an turn VTT on does it make my mobo track vtt correctly? I guess not?
YES......It works well on IC7 mobo and the VTT is OK..........You see I've first tested it on MY IC7 mobo.... ;) :DQuote:

Just wait........ ;)
ok if it does track vtt without doing a vmod, sign me up for one. :)
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/M...rd_ref_png.png
:)
P.S. 1. The mainboard is capable of an output 30A current which can supply 2 x PC's with 2 x 512MB Rams = 4 x 512MB Rams.....
2. The aluminium covers(what you see) of the front panel will be in black and silver - Lian Lee - colors and the user would be able to replace them by himshelf...... ;) :)
Is this powered using linear or switching...? Looks linear to me but who knows :P
this is going to be soo good. i hope its out soon so i dont have to vdimm mod. good luck hipro5!
looks yummie to me :slobber:
Both......Components aren't what they look....! ;)Quote:

wow hipro that is a nice layout. i deffinatly want one now. just need to see what the PCB that plugs into the ram slot looks like but so ar i bet it looks great. im gonna throw one of this bad boys on my k8n neo-fsr and run my precious BH-5.:) i can wait keep up the good work.
Any updates ?
so Hipro5 you saying that this maximer thing will automatically track vtt on boards like the IC7 and future poor VTT tracking boards too? That would be sweet if its true.
D O N E
:D
Photos later on........ :D
I'm so happy coz it works BETTER than expected........Stay tuned....... :D :toast:
Your a Crazy Man Hip :P
congratulations! :toast:
Hope to see the pics soon :p:
I got an a8v s939 board if you want me to beta test it on this board hipro. Maybe your 'maximizer' will somehow be able to get around the mobo's over volt protection on the vdimm :)
congrats! :toast: :)
Congratulations Hipro. Where do I enter my shipping information?
I hope u made a lot of them :DQuote:

Awesome job hipro5.
Keep it up.
Come on Man!
We'll waiting you :slobber:
Now I can test also on MSI 939 ;)
Thank you guys...... :D :toast:
Some update info........ H E R E.......
I think I'll just post in the more recent thread sorry M8
Nice work, but where's the remote control? :D :D :D
