Air Cooling rules...
GOOODNESSSSSS what fan is that got a link?
InSanCen,
is tat a 15cm fan?
it huge
Well, on the short side it's 15cm/150mm. It's a Papst 172x150mm (And that's a FULL Tower case, 5x5.25 bays!) Casing is metal (Cast?), and looks Uberr polishable (But my case is bllack, and as you can see by the wiring, I'm not at the looks stage yet, rather get it running right First)
Aprox 120CFM at 12v, relatively quiet (considering the amount of air it pushes), about the same as a Delta SHE (Not the EHE!), but Much Quieter.
http://img42.echo.cx/img42/8972/papstfan3mu.th.jpg
http://img42.echo.cx/img42/6701/papstlabel5os.th.jpg
Small fan is an 80mm Delta EHE for comparison purposes

Do aircooled TEC's belong here too?
Anyway:
MOBO: Asus P5A
CPU: P200 @ Still working on it (Mobo won't post above 110FSB).
MEM: 128MB Mushkin PC150 Rev.3
Vid: Ti4200 with PEP66 and 60x38 Delta Screamer.
Cooling: PEP66 + 1cm Coldplate + 72W TEC + 80CFM Delta + Homegrown shroud.
http://members.chello.nl/~a.bax1/PCStuff/Shid.jpg
:p:
I never knew TEC's can be air cooled, i thought air is not enough.
ok i did some research and found that air cooled tec's are not really that good. What kind of temps are you getting?

http://busta.nbfl.net/random/new_computer/comp_2.jpg

Added some fans around hot areas, ie the RAM and the chipset.

That's right, it doesn't work as well as a watercooled TEC but it does work better than any real aircooling.Quote:

Now I'm gonna (try to?) cool a (probably) 3200+ Venice below ambient @ full load using aircooled TECs.
The whiney little 50mm~ fan on my Leadtek 6800GT was getting annoying so i stripped the card down to the bare heatsink and made a custom Plexi shroud/duct that i can attach an 80mm fan to. Much quieter + same cooling performance, OR louder and much better cooling performance - depending on which fan is used :woot:

2x 80x80x15mm Zalman OP-1 fans on the plexiglass bracket

The Chieftec case prior to the finished ram cooling with custom plexiglass
side (the plexi still has the protective foil on it - this will be removed once
I cut the 120mm fan holes in it)

http://www.shrani.si/pics/kif_0725142509_resized.jpg
What is left to do:
- cut 2 120mm holes in the plexiglass on the side of the case (one directly on top of the SI, the other over the videocard)
- cut out the front of the case and replace 3x80mm fans with 2 120mm fans
- mount the HDD with Zalman HDD heatpipe cooler on the front botton of the case
http://afireinside.evilspork.net/AFI/DCopty/slanboy.JPG
My setup in a case :D
CPU - TT big typhoon with foam gaskets and 129CFM delta fan
GPU - stock 7800gt cooler (thinking about getting zalmans when I go SLI but a tight fit)
AFI what do you mean by foam gaskets? more pics please :P

Hey guys, I'm a bit new here, a pic of my current setup.
http://jeff.racerfiles.net/cathodes.jpg
I've got two of those big 120mm Panaflo Medium's and 92mm Panaflo High as my main case cooling, a Thermalright XP-90C with 92mm Thermaltake Smart Fan LED to cool the CPU. Running about 32c full-load with my A64 3500+ at 2.47ghz.
Only thing to keep me from OC-ing a lot more is my frankly rubbish Thermaltake 480w PSU. I'm getting rid of that crappy thing pretty soon and replacing it with an Enermax 500w Liberty.
