P4M 1.8 out of a Dell, bought off Ebay for $60. This CPU will do 340fsb on phase and 311 aircooled. On the P4C800E 1.5Vcore gets you 300+ on the DFI I had to set 1.6 to match it but its still impressive.

302air cooled full stable.

O_o Did you take the top of your sempron 2500+ off to get a speed like that? Eather my Die sucks or it has something to do with the CPU die and the case on the CPU itself that limits the OC for some reason. Tho that sounds silly. PPL are getting much better OC's it seems by taking off the metal top of the CPU or something.

well.. most of Sempron 2500+ has bad Integrated Mem Controller, so it can run high, and mostly maxed at 340-360 MHz. And I was lucky, got this cpu, which can run 380 MHz daily and after removing the IHS (this is the thing you called "metal top of the CPU"), I can run at 402 MHz for screenie with plain watercooling

So you took it off with a razor blade. The IHS off really makes a diff. I wonder why? O_o Well it sounds like its worth taking off to get afew 100+ more MHz out of it. I don't use the normal heatsink. Its a masscool heatsink for this one. Wonder if I'll need to mod the heatsink stand and lower it so the heatsink and cpu come into contact? Wonder why the IHS is so big of a deal to get 30fsb more out of it when its just a peice of metal covering the CPU top. Hmm... quite intresting.

Because IHS removing makes better contact with the core. And, umm, if your cooler get no contact with the core if IHS removed, why don't you try misteroadster's way ? I mean... here :toast:

OK, I have a cheap Radeon 9250 which by default has 240mhz core / 200 mhz memory, Now it is easy with ATItool to scan for artifacts with high sensitivity while checking max memory. I have it on 400 mhz, But when running 3DMark03 it detects it as only 200 mhz memory...:confused:

I can post screenies of ATitool (v24)

Sorry for late answer, did hipro5's Vcca mod on the Asus CT-479. It's done a bit different than hipro5 original mod, I only connected my 3,3V line directly to the measure point. :)

It is 1,8 V to the chipset... And I use a Sappire 9800 pro as chipset cooling. And it is the chipset which isn't stable at 450 MHz..

it really was kinda "work" :)

While creating this list there where some situations I stopped and was like "WTF these guys are awesome" Sure me wants to get in this list too...have to get some A64 3000+ :D
