Well my Oc isnt in air, but i got my xpm2600 to 2.8ghz. On air it does 2.6 ghz. Load temp is 109. I am going to try to get it to 2.9 or 3ghz when i get my ram back from RMA

It's very hard to get the XP-M over 2900MHz with Watercooling!
I can bench up to 2870MHz @ ~ 2,00V, but bit over 2870MHz
and the Sys. crashes. U need a really good PSU, bcs the
12V Line will hold u back ;)
Yeah it doesnt want to go much past 2.8. A few mhz over and it decides to crash. Even at 2.25 volts. Its not that big of a deal considering i wouldnt ever want ot actually run it at 2.25.
Managed to get mine stable at 2.76 with only 1.92vcore. I think my 12v rail is holding me back!
my results with mobile bartons are as follows...
XPm2500+ --- 2.4ghz max
XPm2400+ --- 2.3ghz max
XPm2400+ --- 2.5ghz max
all of this is using an SLK800 + 80mm tornado
Vcore dips to 1.88 but she runs rock solid!

Any special Northbridgecooling @ 268 MHz FSB, and which Voltage = Vdd ?
My Sig. isnt correct now i have the Vio = Vdimm Mod, too.

Nice Electroid. But we got a winner for pifast already.... Cant remember who did it. He is one of hte bigger guys in the forums and Does Nf7-s bios modding.
I wonder how fast I can get my cpu with some extreme cooling. I just whish i could get my fsb higher though. I found out that the 335 wasnt prime stable. neither was 230 or 225. But as of now im running it at 225 as prime stress testing is the only thing that makes it crash at all. Every other benchmark or prog (havnt tried rendering with 3dsmax yet) that I have tested for extended amounts of time has been stable... But with prime the memory controller just gives out on me after a few minutes.. its a pitty.
It is SAE, and he have a DFI, too :) 30sec SuperPi ! 39,xx sec Pifast !
Yes, it's SAE with 30sec in SP1M but 43.92 in Hexus PiFast...Quote:

Hehe. I did a pifast at 12x271 and I could not break 44secs with the fastest timings possible... so try it then. 12.5x263 is faster, believe me ;)Quote:

My 1mpifast is 37 seconds... and my hexus is 53.XX. I dont know why the hexus is so slow. I see guys on there with cpus and fsbs that are lower than mine with the same mobo who are getting in teh 40's. I just dont get it. I think that they lied on the scores or seomthing. I wish hexus would demand that every entry be acompanied by a screenie of hexus pifast and cpuz.
I see there are a TON of you guys using the mobile bartons and a friend of mine just tossed me a FREE Asus A7N8X Ultra motherboard for the hell of it. I found a really great site for the mods for this board and i think i'll use it as my first board to play with and practice mod'ing on. What i'm wanting to know is which barton stepping/week is the best IF there is one. I've noticed that many ppl are using 2400-2600's and reaching about the same speeds on air so is it just luck of the draw? All of them are around the same price almost so that's not really a concern. Do the majority of you get the 35w mobiles or the 45w .. does it make much of a difference? Sorry about asking so many questions but i'd like a little more input before i purchase and there's so much information in this thread i can't make up my mind :D
btw, thanks in advance!
The Mobils are much better then the others and they are unlocked(!!).Quote:

Try to get an Mobile with IQYHA MPMW/XPMW/RPMW from 0351 to 0406,
FQQ4C in Stepping is the most important, its the 45W 1,45V one.
Good Luck :)
Appreciate the input,
So you do want a 45w instead of the 35w one's correct? I thought it was the other way around but then again i could be mistaken. I usually buy them off of newegg since i'm right across the border and get no tax and 1 day delivery =) Where can you special order stepping/weeks and whatnot from any ideas?Quote:

Dunno where u can ask for stepping in the us, im from ger. :)
But try to call them, or ask some us friends, or look at
an pricewatch site for an good shop.

The cpu cant do 2600Mhz with this cooling and I cant get over 262fsb, probably due to the fact of the rams ;)
These FSB settings are sick Bennah. What kind of cooling and vdd-settings are you using? Which motherboard, I think I'll buy one ;)
My XP-M2600+ does 3080MHz @ 220FSB & 2.25V.
Just today I was able to get a 232FSB stabile with the L12mod.
Bennah, what mobo and bios were you using for those clocks?
I suppose I shall post mine up. I've had it for a few months now.

Im pretty sure that the Aqyfa is the better choice between those two. not sure though.
have the batch numbers? lower# = better
Batchnumbers tell us nothing but what pga housing the die was mounted to :DQuote:

It's nonsense with the batchnumbers IMO :)
But that's my opinion ;)
P.S. Long time no see, Sascha :D
just got my mobile 2400+ 35 watt IDYHA installed will post when i have it running stable. Right now I just got it running at 9x200 1.45v gonna see what it can do. Might take m awhile b/c this is my first OC so any and all advise accepted :)
Zetachi
Hi zetachi, welcome to the sickness :D
Your cpu has a weird new stepping, at least for me. I am sure it does well.
It should at least do 2.2Ghz at 1.45V, the better cpus sometimes get to 2.5GHz at this kinda voltage. Be careful, make sure, your cooling can handle the heat, contact is great and you're using good thermal paste (for aircooling and water - Arctic Silver5 iirc).
Good luck, and please report your results here :)
i never tried 1.45 on my 2400+ 35w, ive never seen that steeping before though, itll be interesting.
on my 2600+ 45w i got 2.1ghz at 1.5, though that chip never broke 2.4 ghz and giving it more then 1.8 didnt help me, my 35w however did much better, but i started with 1.8v and went up.
im not familiar with that mobo so i can only hope that it will keep up even if its not on the best chipset... we will see...
http://doublescan.wz.cz/cpuz.gif
Mine AXP-M 2600+ does with 1.850Vcore 2700Mhz easily, could probably do much more, but... ;) That's more that enought for me.
http://doublescan.wz.cz/2600Barton_mobile.htm
My old AXP-M 2500+ do with the same 1.850Vcore just only 2550Mhz...
http://doublescan.wz.cz/2500Barton_mobile.htm
My O/C results suxx, I know. Im not good overclocker - silent PCs did not go overclock well, they constantly overheat :stick:
^dont you have watercooling?
shouldnt be that hot :p:
is 2.7 stable at that voltage? i konw my 2400+ 35w was stable at 2.65 with 1.85, i had it running at 2.7 with those volts for a very long time, never primed but never crashed either.
2600+ at 2500mhz 1:1 (250x10) at 1.65v :)
http://img5.exs.cx/img5/4628/2500mhz0jo.jpg
is that stable? if so then very nice clocks indeed!
35w?
if you are talking to me, then yes it is prime95 stable :) I even lower vcore to 1.6v and it ran fine but prime95 failed after an hour....however, I was using the comp at the same time for all my prime95 tests.
very nice, is that a 35w chip?
also, what cooling?
a 45w chip, cooling via a sp-97 with a sunon quiet fan idle at 32c load at 28c
wow, very nice chip sir.
my 45w 2600 didnt go anywhere near that.
im currrently customizing a watercooled case with the following:
DD RBX
DD CHIPSET
Ehiem 1250 (temp...will swap with a better pump in future)
Dual Heatercore w/ Shroud
Hoping to get 2.9ghz on water....or 3ghz :) will be using 2.1v vcore
whats wrong with the 1250?
i wanted a setup like that bud daddy needs new shorts lol.
1250 is not enough flow =P
forgot to mention.... i had a 2400+ 35w at 2400mhz (240x10) at 1.8v
Revv23 - yep, my 2600+ is a good chip. For 2400 it need only 1.625 to be prime stable, 2600 need 1.800 and 2700 get away prime stable at 1.850V, but for lack of cooling on the mosfets, it live just for about 45min :(
2600 could do about 4.5h - and fold about 12-14h straight - then if freeze.
Yes, I have watercooling (config in sig), but FANLESS one ;) :D So it's silent and my temps will be always pretty high ;)
This don't affect overclock, tough. My AXP-M managed it's max OC (2550) at +86C, so about 50C what I getting now at the end of folding+working day is IMHO pretty fine ;)
Right now SpeedFan says: CPU: 42C, chipset: 37C, HDD: 48C ;) IMHO more that good for load temp after 5h of folding.
Oh, i thought 2.700 was 24/7 stable, its still a nice clocks, but at 1.85 on stock board my 2400 will take 2.6 24/7 prime.
Mine will take it too, as soon, as I can finish the mosfet watercoling thing - or I can cheat - it's getting cold outside, I just can open the case and open window and Im deadly sure that it make the needed (for toaster sig) 8h prime95 torture test stable at 2600 and 1.800Vcore.
Want bet it? :p: :D :stick:
so do you have any case fans at all? or just your rad?
