I'll let you know how it goes...

Here is my oc on air. My mach 2 is not ready yet :)

i also hit 3.9ghz stable and 4.0ghz unstable. For some reason even with 3.6 volts my mushkin won't run dual channel 500mhz for long periods of time????/ Each stick is fine single channel up to around 530mhz.....thats 2-2-2-6 btw....
any ideas? FYI, there is two little resistors that look knocked off on one stick of mushkin, but it passes memtest, so i dunno, they are just kinda hanging there...thats the stick i got in a rma from them, it came like that.......
Do you have any air moving over them? I know with mine they started getting errors around 250 MHz with 3.4V at 2-2-2-5. I put a slow 80 mm fan over them and they let me do 260 MHz with 3.45V, 250 MHz only takes 3.35V with the fan. Heat can cause you just as many problems as the wrong voltage at the wrong speed.Quote:

C'mon Dimitris! Get that thing cold!
i put a 120mm 85cfm fan over them lol...helped some definetley but still not stable. You know what though, I am going to try turning down the voltage with the fan on it....maybe taht will do it.
2-2-2-5 @ 263 fsb? That is MAD :)Quote:

How much volt u pushin them mushies? bh-5 I suppose?
Just receive my 3.0 C L342B
pack date 1/8/2004
still priming at default voltage.
Looking good..
tomorrow I'll buy a SL6WU L346B354...
hey pcw,
Welcome to xtreme :D :toast: :welcome:
Here is my SL6WK
wuds the stepping on the SL6WK??....ive some SL6WK L350 in my nearby store....but no SL6WU in stock....
thanks man :banana:Quote:

my feedback
it's my stable speed(prime95, seti@home, game...) and daily use cpu clock
15°c water
http://learn.chez.tiscali.fr/3.0C/prime-4010-load.png
my SL6WU has old packdate (november 2003) and it does 3960 prime stable at default volts (1,568V load) with WC 20°C :p
too bad it isn't stable with more than default volts, i can run pi at 4050 max at stock volts
3,4 volts on it ;)Quote:

Yep BH-5 is on the sig.

This is my SL6WU cooled by my chiller @~20°

http://www.extremecooling.net/random...ms/4260mhz.jpg
Is it healthy to give more than 1,8v like at the M0 Cpus? I have one with 30 capasistors
which voltage are you using as default ( Everyone:p: ), because on the box is 1.55, but i dont have a default vcore, so i am using 1.525.
My default voltage on this CPU is 1,48v
1.775v bios seem the MAX useful with my DOD cooling, over that it doesn't helpQuote:

Running prime now on my new SL6WK 3.0c@3750, 1.575V, 250FSB, 5:4, 2-2-2-5 Mushkin BH-5 on Air
Pray she holds!
Hers another one of the SL6WK
Hey Karnivore what kind of cooling is that??
Hey Karnivore....:soap: :soap: :soap: :soap:
:hehe: Nice overclock!!!! :hehe:
very good karnivore
unmodded mach1, thnx...
not happy, but not sad too....:D
Finally found the "sweet" spot for my 3Ghz SL6WU...
I've run 3DMark01SE loops for an hour but forgot to save the screen image...
Since I changed PSU's from my Enermax 460w (I could only mod the 3.3 rail), with my new 550w Antec TP, I've been able to boot up at 283fsb long enough to take some screenies...
Prime95 fails after an hour or so whereas before I could not even boot at anything higher than 278fsb...
Here's an image of my "max" stable highest OC..
I'll post some more screenies after once I so a few loops of 3DMark01SE as well as running 2 instances of prime95...
On a funny note, on my "other" rig with a 2.6c & P4C800-E mobo, MBM5 reports my actual CPU temps as being lower than my system temps...CPU temp: 29c, Case temp: 32c:rolleyes:. I'm using the stock 3Ghz cooler on it but there's no way in the world that a CPU temp is lower than the case temps....
No way I can beat Karnivore's OC unless I go on a rampage & buy 20 3Ghz CPUs to see if I can get a winner...
Oh well, I'm more than happy to have this CPU....My last 3Ghz (when they first came out) couldn't even do 233fsb:mad:
Cheers,
Minnyboy:toast:
Very nice OC Minnyboy.Quote:

Marvin, I pick one up last night but with the spec of SL6WK L401Axxx with 30 caps underneath and mine also not the best but not the worst either. Mine is 3D, Memtest and Prime stable overnight at 250 1:1 2-2-2-5 at 1.7v in bios and 1.62-1.65 in window. This is all on air with the temp of 53C underload. I'm burning her in a little more so my As5 can settle in and see what see got left from there. Highest I try to get into window last night was 255fsb and that wasn't stable at all.
got one yesterday ....SL6WU L350....does 245fsb stable only....250 wun even boot.... dang.....
Mine was stable with the stock cooler at 250fsb @ 1.575v...Quote:

It's a SL6WU - L349B066, pack date: 01/18/04...
Can run 250 @ 2-5-2-2 @ 3.4v dual channel with GAT set to turbo, strengthened, 5, enabled, enabled...
Only dilemma is that when using 5/4 divider, I can't use the "turbo" & "strengthened" settings as well...
That's using 2 x 256MB XMS3500, my 2 x 512Mb XMS3500 can do 240fsb dual channel but it ain't stable when using 5/4 dividers, even at 217Mhz...
Same caps underneath the chip as the M0 steppings with my 3Ghz...
Might get meself a 3.4 NW as I can get staff discount & see how high I can push this sucker...
Cheers,
Minnyboy:toast:
best settings for IC7's are:
2
5
2
2
Game Accelerator: Auto
Enhanced
5 (or 4 if it can, even better)
Enabled
Enabled
These are the best! Result of hours of testing ;) Got 350+ 3dmarks with these :toast:
My new SL6WU does 3900 at 1,62V with WC 20°C, screenies soon ;)

You can't trust the ASUS temp sensors.

Watercooled. Should be around 40c :)
And a nice 3.0c clock dude :toast:
