All i got to say is §§§§ that mother§§§§ing §§§§§§§ for seeking you out just to give you a hard time. Thats real bull §§§§. Hey Tictac, let me know who that guy is by nick. Email me. I think Mr. Ice Hole might have something to say to him. Hell i should go search him out and make all of his posting a living hell. Like you said, its just a nick.

Anyways, i will continue host Tictacs bios as long as he will let me. Let me know if there are any you need that I havent got hosted, im sure i have them.

Hi, used d22 beta king over d21EQuito and sandra bandwidth was the same. Tested at 210, 220 fsb...Flashed with flash menu, turned off pc and cleared cmos using the jumper....

First off, Im not a moderator on OC, just a senior member, no more. Here, I am a moderator, also one of the original ancient members. ;) lol

As for eobard, he is aware of this thread and should be responding shortly I beleive.

As for the rest, there is no reason to leave if that is your goal. If you have things to share and wish to continue to learn, why not hang out with the rest of us? All we ask is to follow the rules as they are listed, everyone makes mistakes and can even blow things out of proportion with themselves. Ive done it before and am sure I will again sometime.

I'm not out to get anyone, fact remains tictac was asked to comply with the same rules that every other member at OCforums has to, and in response to a request that he remove a link from his sig he quit the forums, then he came here (and other forums) and started claiming that I banned him. This is not true. As for me following him to other forums to give him a hard time, he re-joined OCforums under a new name and, claiming to be a different person, sent me a PM asking why I banned tictac and then gave me links to the other threads where he claimed I banned him. I didn't go looking for him, he came up to me and rubbed these falsehoods in my face. I have come to these other forums only to set the record straight. I am not against anyone making tweaked bios' for motherboards. In fact had he posted a thread at OCforums showing where his bios could be downloaded (instead of putting it in his sig) I might have even stuck the thread if it got enough positive responses. Seeing as he had quit OCforums instead of being banned he is welcome to continue to be a member under his new name there (so long as he is willing to follow the rules). People who have concluded that he was being harassed by myself, or any other representatives of OCforums, without hearing my side have drawn conclusions without all of the relavent facts. Now lets get back to bios tweaking.

Guys need your help. After not getting more bandwidth with beta-king, I decided to go back to d21. The funny thing is I can no longet get to 225fsb not even 220!!! Tried reflashing bios 21 using floppy but the same thing happens. 220=no-go!!! I used to do 220 2-2-2-11 and 225 2-3-3-11 (didn't try more yet). So, I could use some ideas...:confused:

pcfreak - are you clearing CMOS after each flash? Make sure and do a thorough job of it, else you may be suffering from left-overs from the previous BIOS'

Set the jumper to clear cmos, pull the power out of PSU and let it sit for about 10 minutes before putting the jumper back.

10 minutes?? that's nuts! 10 seconds is enough with all power out.

and shroomy, i'm gonna go through all 48 of TicTac's bios', looking for the highest bandwidth/highest fsb one i can get.

also when you guys flash, when do you clear cmos? before you load up the bios' or after you load or both?

also, who here is experiencing a lower fsb after going from 'A' to 'B', and back to 'A' again?

I did clear the cmos...I don't know what is going on...I get errors in memtest at 215 even with 2.9vdimm :s ... What the hell... I have 2x256 corsair 3500 v1.1. Is my memory dead or the mobo is dying...it is 1 week old, black caps 0318 I think...

EDIT: Tried each stick both did 225 then I tried both and I managed to pass memtest without erros...Before I had errors at 215 same settings ... what the hell :stick: anyway...

Like tictac sez - shutdown, clear CMOS, then boot and set BIOS options.

I also like the extra step of shutdown->clear CMOS->boot->set Optimal Defaults->Save->boot->set BIOS options.

You just want to be sure that any left-over CMOS registers are cleared on a new BIOS, you never know what's left over from the previous BIOS without a CMOS clear.

For me there's no difference between 22BetaKing and original 1.8.
239 MHz rock stable.No difference in 3D Mark and memory bandwidth.

First did it this way using flashmenu then again using floppy...I don't think it was the bios...but Idon't know what the problem is-was also...tictac keep up the good work :toast:

clearing cmos by tapping the insert key at boot up is what I find to be much easier in a crowded case like mine. Works all the time.........However after bios flash with flashmenu I normally shut down (switch off PSU switch), count to 11, pray, tap insert key and load setup defaults, reboot and go on............

okay, do any of these bioses help break some oc barriers? I'm still hung at about 200, nothing over that is 24/7 stable. I can post up to 238, bench at 214 and 221 once each, but something isn't right.

I can't use the 10 bios, that doesn't cooperate, any other good ones?:toast:

I believe that Oskar Wu has ties to DFI, I think he's an employee.

If I understand it correctly, Oskar has access to the BIOS source, so don't feel badly. Patching together a BIOS without source is different than building one from source! :toast:

TicTac, i've been trying out bandwidth tests, at 133x13, 5-2-2-2... and they've all been 1 or 2 MB/s from 2016/1895 in Sandra.

oh...ya bout dat multiplier thing both doesnt work..... my beta tester said.....

multi must be in integrer of 0.5....

yup both post fine but dat multi 10.1 n 9.9 shown as [ ]

I just tested the Version 10_ b4x4 bios and I have to say that the layout of this bios is... let's say weird! I really had to get used to it.

I'm just testing the performance, as your modded bios version 22 didn't give me any performance boost. I even had some mouse problems with bios 22 (but also with the original abit bios; so don't worry, not your fault). ;)
Bios 21 turbo doesn't have the new s-ata bios so it didn't boot for me.

Couldn't you change the location of the bios parts so that they are abit standard again for version 10_b4x4??? That would be really nice.

It was a PS/2 mouse, so no USB problem there. AND it turned out that the problem was not board related but keyboard related. YES, keyboard :D
I used a USB keyboard that has an integrated PS/2 controller for mouse plug-in. That controller seems to have interfeared with the NF7's onboard PS/2 mouse port. Funny heh! I nearly got mad until I realized where the problem really was. :D

Hey Tictac, have you tried throwing more voltage into the d10 bios? That would be sweet, how about those 9.9multies. Are those working out yet?

for FYI all my bios hav diff criteria

D22 Beta king = build with super thight timing ( for who is running at 2-2-2-X timing)

D10 beta 2 = a bit loosen timing than original D10 (for high fsb seeker)

so if u only run ur system at pretty loosen timing it wont benefit dat much..

bout dat multi 9.9 stuff.. it doesnt work...

and i hav newer version than D22 beta king which is build with tightest timing ever than all my betas

Nice to see this bios working good for people. Tictac did us a big favor here I think. Thanks again Tictac, I run you 3DFire bios on my back-up system and it works sweet.

I have done some testing with the D22 Betaking & D22 3DFire. I had gains in both bioses over the Eqo 21 & I find the BetaKing to work best for me. Others results have the 3DFire to have higher pcmark than Betaking, but it is the opposite for me. Here are my results: (Avg of 3 benchmarks)

Sandra Mem Bandwith
D22 BK = 3024/2786
D22 3DFire = 3025/2786

CPU Arithmetic Benchmark
D22 BK = 7063/2913
D22 3DFire = 7062/2913

CPU Multimedia Benchmark
D22 BK = 16941/17455
D22 3DFire = 16939/17450

AquamarkScore
D22 BK = 35964
D22 3DFire = 36065

BTW.. I am only runnin 1 Diamond 9 Plus Maxtor HD, as my other one crapped out on me. I didnt wanna throw peeps off with my sig & ATTO scores.

emmmm... need to tweak more on dat mem bandwith thing as Infinity hav bigger bandwith than NF7-S.... and maybe later add more juice on that 3d processing... hope can boost up 3D handling process better than infinity had... wish me luck

Nice work Tictac, the 3D Fire bios sorted out my voltage droop problems... for some reason Beta King was undervolting my vCore very very badly (by 0.1v near enough!)

Yes the undervolting problem, wich was always a problem with NF7 boards is now gone with 3dFire BIOS... Great work tictac!

Now I must take some time to test this new BIOS with my new Barton 2600+. It is running 2600MHz @ 2.05V...

sorry.... Cas latency 1.5 not working on 3D Fire.... :(

undervolting fixed?...... i'm not sure... maybe fix it accidently... hehehe .. :D

but some still report there is still undervolting issue on this board :smileysex

Vcore fluctuation is still there but not so munch.
If i set vcore to 2.03 with bios d18 it dropped to 1.92 under load. Now vcore is decrease to 1.98 (bios 2.05)
