Yes, no change and it crash more at physics test loading...
Pinto nice results for 3dm11, Do you have a name for your case? Should be called Apple bottom jeans :D
Is there a seller in the US for those golden 980x chips? I wonder if ALL of the 990x chips clock like these? my 980x needs 1.4v to be stable at 4.4 :(

@ pinto :
Why don't you try the 200bclk ?
no need for high block on a 980x, especially when there's no more performance

Hi guys,
I've been away for a while due to work and other interests, but I decide to return and come back strong.
Thus, I got a golden chip 3031a242 with a RIIIe mobo. I'm cooling it with with an H70 and have some OCZ 1600 ram using an Enermax Revolution 85+ psu in a Silverstone ft02 case.
I haven't really haven't had time to play with this setup due to work, but I set it up at 144.5*32 for 4614 and it primed for 8 plus hrs. Everything but cpu and ram voltage was left on auto with HT turned off.
I was using 1.3v and temps never got above 60 degrees while priming.
I need to run some other tests on it but what do you think the max on this chip would be using my H70?
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated as I'm just starting to OC again.
Thanks.
wow impressive results on air, Linx stable? Wat vcore??
Nice! :D
What was your vCore?
That's really outstanding for water cooling!
with daily overclock.....

My next devil in action (air cooler):

5.1 @ 1.47 jesus, U ran linx or prime to test stability ??
It's not in my hands yet.
As soon as I could get it I'll post more results in water and HT ON. This test was made by the "old owner", a friend of my.
The HT OFF is because he uses an aircooler.
Here is what he did previously:

@Faster,
What is your H20 cooling setup?
First quick tests...

Just to see the temps:

Just got this chip.. batch 3041B299
Running on air with a Noctua Nh12 with 2x 1850 Rpm GT's. Ambient Room Temp 22-23 degress

http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/5...11ghzthumb.jpg
All these CPUs make my 990X blush :(
Thank you.
I live in a very hot city, so in this test I simulated a 13°C ambient with this:

http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/7684/dsc1214r.jpg
I know it's 13°C because I put a thermometer inside the big box.
I don't like to burn my CPUs in LinX or Prime, but with this one I made a quick run to find the max "normal" temps (26°C ambient at night):

I would keep the 32 chip, many real strong ones are 32A :)
Noob question: how can I see that???
