for anyone running surround thats a huge downside. using surround on a pair of GTX 470's i noticed that a few games would not play nicely with 5760x1080 and over 4XAA, for example Dirt 2 ran at over 60FPS with 4XAA turn that up to 8XAA and FPS went down to 2FPS. I hope these are priced right. for single monitor setups at the right price this card will be extremely nice.
The Pricing doesn't look like its going to be great here compared to GTX470 (219 with free shipping). The 100 euro premium isn't worth it at all.... unless someone is getting it for me for christmas:p:
Yeah I definitely agree with that! The only thing is that it's very hard to swallow what will likely be 350+ euro at launch for the 570 when I can pick up 2 470s for not a whole lot more! At 299 I would buy it on the day it came out though, either ati or nvidia seriously needs to get their skates on and release a card at that price point.
nice promising scores...
Sometimes lil' faster than GTX 480, sometimes lil' slower ... Seems to be the deal but we'll see soon now.
An idea about the time when GTX 570's reviews will appear tomorrow ?
Only seemes to be slower than 480 when it runs out of memory...
Nice, good round for nvidia finally with 5 series, now bring us 560 cards asap :)
Speaking of 560, ETA for them is ?

Gigabyte gtx 570
Loved the info but i am a bit confused as to why no one now a days posts sources along with their precious contributions?
Don't get me wrong i do love the posts but the source also deserves some credit and a visit "More visits = more cash that site can make"
The original site used an image of a GTX 580. There are subtle differences. :up:Quote:

the scores look great, but with the recent price drop on the 470, i'd rather just buy a second one for sli :D
Apparently the 580 waterblocks will fit these babies as well, if they're scarce, it'll get worse after tomorrow :/
With this trend, the 470 will soon go for almost free
This 570 seams to have a good start, with performance and price, but depending on AMD's next move all these may get a price-drop too.
If AMD can deliver a competitive GPU, in time soon, then it will be a good time to for GPU shopping, all from 470 to 590(LOL, who knows, it may show up soon, too).

gtx 480 performance at gtx 470 power consumption. that should say enough about this product.

Thanks heaps, Not far behind 580s in SLI, this card looks rock solid!! As for power consumption not really much difference same with the noise hehe, but hey look at how cheap this cards gonna be and look at the benches!

GTX 570 on ebay at $485
:ROTF:
A lit bit of FUDzzila on GTX 570 prices ;)
Quote:
Nvidia’s official pricing is as follows: $329 in the Land of the Free, €349 in the non-bankrupt parts of Euroland and £289 in what’s left of the British Empire.
no availability of GTX 580? It's of course available, the price just isn't the best for nealy 500€., but it's not a problem to get one.
Fud's price does'nt make sense. $ Price won't be lower than € price at these exchange rates and techreport had 349$ in their review. Maybe it's 329€ in europe.
Euro prices are always higher than the exchange rate
I can find at least 10 different ones which are in stock, beginning at 475€
http://geizhals.at/deutschland/?cat=...GTX+580&sort=p
With better avalability the price will be 499$ / 1.33 (exchange rate at the moment) x 1.19= 446€ in germany.
EVGA price GTX 570 349,90 Euro.

I've posted this in other thread too, but this sounds like a mess . According to real (in stock) price for GTX 570 of my local dealers in Norway, it is 2999 NOK +/- few slants.
Based on todays official exchange rate, 2999 NOK = 375€ = 501$ .
Here in Portugal, eVGA GTX570 for 339€ and eVGA GTX470 SC for 360€.
Czech Republic, GTX 470 starts at 220€ , GTX 570 318€ and GTX 580 438€.
Nice to see a healthy amount of stock here in the UK. Another hardlaunch, at least here. :)
Cheapest I've found so far is £242.54 for a Palit. Nice.
exactly, i think NV is doing this on purpose, just shipping to some major US and UK vendors so you get a major idea available everywhere, but now where to be seen in WEST EURO, same for the 580 still, hard to find 2 of the same brand at teh same time. it's like one comes in after another. and 570 only in a day or 2-3.
cheaper then the 470 yet it owns the 470 and even beats the 480, i like the price alot!!
