omg PRO!!! every time i see your name as a last post in a thread here in AMD section i am already smiling before i open the thread! congrats my man!
wish you would get a tank of lhe @ your door :D
omg... 5.1 GHz at air :), u are so lucky man ,-). My next experience will be 5GHz 1100T BE at cold air.
I can’t touch Mad222 but this 955 C3 will do 5GHz on air.
I actually validated the test before this one then I went and got my camcorder but I didn’t know what was on the tape so I recorded this on the memory stick (very bad quality) but it is in fact running @ 5013 on core one (0 by core count). The other three cores are running @4479+/- if I remember correctly.
I’ll do a clean install of another OS and try it again but this time with the tape in the camcorder rather than the memory stick. I hope to get a chance to test this chip under LN2 next week.
Room temp 64F/17.7C+/- the processor idles @31C+/- Windows XP 32-bit.

I know you can barely see it but it is in fact running at 5013MHz. Sorry.
The video such as it is.:(

Woah, that's an amazing chip! Not even 965 or 975, but an old, trusty 955! Acceptable ambient temps, too. Very nice, congrats!
Well 5ghz has already been broken, but Phenom II 555 x4 @ 4832 under my TRUE 120 push/pull Deltas. Ambients around 23*C

Heres my 5gig on cold air all 6 cores
Havent validated yet, so sorta pointless, but still cool nonetheless

theoldtimer, what week cpu?
Is it 5069 or is it 5115MHz? It isn't worth much but it was fun anyway.

I forgot , whats exactly is meaning EPM (W). How is this characteristic? Whats diferent exmaple between EPMW and DPMW and DACP?
"A-G" or "M" - Day of week, A being Monday, B tuesday, C wednesday etc. "M" is "mix"...not really sure if thats confirmed though
"P" - Plant name, in Penang, Malaysia
"A-M" (3rd letter) is the wafer lot sequence code of that day which the die came from A=1 B=2 C=3 etc
"W" or "null" means that only one wafer lot was used in the batch of CPUs. (Ones without the W were probably test subjects that went really well, but this makes it harder to decipher certain batches since they may be from different wafers)
Actually, the first letter can be a few others as well:
A/R = Monday
B/S = Tuesday
C/T = Wednesday
D/U = Thursday
E/V = Friday
F/W = Saturday
G/X = Sunday
Beep: thx !:)
Looks, second chip is not so bad....a bit better than first 1100T (+100 MHz)
Ambients 20C and not much good aircooler-->4867 MHz :)

Found a S/N 0001 1090T last night
Even though the magic no. doesn't mean too much in terms of OC nowadays, but it's rarely found...so I bought it & had a try @ home :D
5g under ambient 13c-14c :p:

lol nice work & nice s/n :D
MAD: nice, nice man, try with this chip max LINX and max score in CInebenchs, but please, with normal ambinets about 20 C, very thx man :)
1045 Thuban? I dont know much better Thubans than my 1015 :)
The newest batch in here is still 1023... Not many ppl want to buy 1090T as compared to 1055 because of the price
I think I need to wait @ least a few months to find newer batches in local shops...
Thx ! I'll keep that in mind, buddy:)
Me too...!
If you can find 1045 in your country, get one with Vid (with turbo core on) below 1.4v
AMD has made improvements lately. Surprise....:D
I'll run LinX & Cine later when I get win7 64 bits installed, ok;)

I don't believe my chip is any better than his 1090T :p:
1.325 VID no turbo  4.3 3d stable, it will post 3250 NB but definately wont boot much over 3100 didnt try valid yet though, I must do this.
lol, I think he's seen and tested at least 4 or 5 1045 chips now and known of more, I got this one from Aaron Schradin through him
EDIT:
Maybe I should lend it to flanker or Mad so one of them can pull more magic out of it :p
BeepBeep
1.325v default Vid ? I guess it's 1.475v Vid with turbo core on then!
Hmm...Dun think you can get much out of it
Usually 3300nb @ around 4.5g with 1.35v cpu nb on air. What ram divider you were using ?
It's much diificult to find a good Thuban & I dun think the 890fx boards are really 100% ready for that because of its' initial design...hope 9 series will do well
Beep when i discuss chips with madd it only concerns ln2, air does not always mean good on ln2...........
We went through a few chips although not yours but binned by vid.....there are lower vid chips out there, alot lower ;)
my 1100T is better by 100 mhz core wise and 300 mhz NB wise in vantage versus my 1090T........so to each his own.
Well I believe Aaron had this one on air, there was thermal paste on the CPU (albeit one side of the heatspreader) when it arrived, the middle one in the pic you posted. He said he got 4 Ghz on air like cake, which was very much so easy. :)
I just find it funny that Mad's 5g air chips are all 7g+ LN2 chips ;)
Just curious as to how you folks are determining the vid of a chip.
This 1090 is slightly better than my 1055. When I do a clear CMOS and go into bios it shows CPU V's @ 1.257, after booting CPU-Z shows voltage @ 1.308 (idle).
For some reason my chip doesn't seem to like high v's on the IMC.
Anything over 1.3 causes a no post and even using TurboV to raise it above that voltage things get wonky... :p:
OTOH, it will do 3.1 (stable) on the IMC with only 1.265v.
I tested only few aspect. 2 years old OS, max LINX 4300 MHz, max wprime 1024M 4400 MHz, max superpi 1M 4730MHz aircooled, ambinets about 20 C. Think, fresh OS can help me +50 MHz maybe for benchmarks as superpi and +10-20 MHz for LINX or wprime 1024M. Its possible?
Hope my case is not the same. My Thuban does 3600+ on water (2 cores) and I'm going to check it on dice this weekend.
What's the normal CPU-NB voltage for dice, considering it wants about 1.45 for 3400 with 6 cores and 3600 on 2 cores?
Thanks, I'll see if it scales with more voltage. I've used upto 1.5 on water, without any problems (maybe degradation, but haven't seen it yet). Probably I won't go past 1.5 on dice, too. Dice gave me about 500-600MHz increase on the 555 for the total of 3600MHz NB, but it's a different animal.
heh, now understand...Chew thought 1045 is better under LN2 than 1015 :)....
Ok, it seems pretty descent, I think. I was testing for stage 3 of the CountryCup and just made a simple validation. Note that the validation was not the idea, it's done with 4GHz+ uncore and memory over 1920 cl6, lol.
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1596298
It made 4GHz NB stable at about 1.5V, pretty close to what I expected. This time I had a good contact on the pot, but again high temperatures, I need to try with another liquid.
One result from me too:
http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...20_4055.96_mhz
Could be better but I believe that's the maximum of my Athlon II x4 620.
Way to go FLanK3r.:up::D:yepp:
core 0 is good, other are whorse think...with stability and wprime or others hard loading benchmarks is my 1090T better.
how in the world did you get 5ghz validated on air
about 10 C
Excellent, Flank !
Ooo, thx MAD, Im happy, finally. And now, stage at my first +6GHz OC :-D
Some benchmarks, I Got my new superpi 1M record on this monstrum core 0:

Why only single channel?
At that speed you should be at 14.2...
You needs better ramzzz. http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...be_14sec_282ms Not trying to show off, but just an idea of what 4860 can get you score wise.
Beep: because I cant 2 modules at my x6 1100T system-CPU cooler interfere to the dual slots :(
chance:yes, GSkill Flares are on the way :)

Flares are nice. I've got a set of PSC in my Dom's and they work wonders.
@ Beep Beep, let me know if you move those Hypers. ;)
I think he's the first one to get an X6 valid above 5 Ghz at a reasonable ambient.
Mine I don't think will pass 4.6-7 valid on any of the cores at 20c ambient, maybe 4.8 at temps colder than what he got 5 Ghz with.
first is MAD master, unbelievable-5.1 GHz with 20-22C ambinets temp!
