Dollar rent a car is $120 for the week, mid size.
No, comes to $2980 for the week after fee's
trying to figure out if I can get by w/o a rental car and just grab a taxi or bus.. :S
if you are looking for a cheap hotel, book the four queens at vegas.com, then report to them about their pricematch thingie, citing the price of i4vegas.com. they will give you a nice refund. we paid 220$ with tax for 8 nights. make sure you read the terms, dont blame me. downtown is a bit away from most of the strip where the action is, google maps, taxis or car rentals are your friend. when you rent a car check that the rental place is in the big car rental place near the airport which has a bus shuttle
God, I hope ain't too sick for this; right in the middle of some treatments. But if I can, I'll defintely be attending. It's what? A 4 mile drive? LOL.
Question for anyone in the know-I see looking @ the CES website that the hotels have rates listed for CES attendees, also seeing some hotels wave fees and can be reserved online, but when arriving do they require proof that you will be attending CES? I am not technically "industry" and do not have a pass to get in- but of course would not say No to actually attending the conference. Just would like to take advantage of any hotel discounts as it is seeming more likely I will be attending! Very Excited
Looks like I will be there!:up:
Holy Crap.... Chuck?! No shiz?
Gawd I gotta get there..... be nice to finally put a face to you after all these years man.
Sounds like this XS event will be even better than the last one :)
This time around, I've set aside more time during the week to check out CES so that I'll be able to attend the XS party during more reasonable hours (I was there from, what, 9:00pm to 3:00am last time? )
See you guys there!
So now someone tell me how to get in.. I can get to vegas just dont have a tech industry job.. pms are appreciated.
I chartered my canoe, got my CES clearance, booked my shack at the Golden Nugget and the traveler is ready to shake some dice :D
Anybody else making the trek from Hawaii?
Fugger, need me to bring anything? Snacks? Beer? Spam?
... I predict 400K+ AM3 score there :shrug: ... more like 415K+:hump::nuts::slobber::eek2::hitself::eleph:

EH? :stick::stick::stick::slap:
Ryan, set your sights a bit higher.
We have L&L here already so were set.
I'll arrive 5th and leave 10th. Anyone interested doing some sight seeing, visiting Hoover Dam etc. before XS event? I'll stay in Palazzo, will go though CES and have couple press events to join but most likely will have plenty of free time.
Just to clarify... do I just have to show up to get in? I'm registered with CES and have my badge, etc. :) I'm with a tech company :)
And hopefully it's ok that I'm 17? I've got LN2 experience if that helps my case =P
Eli
Ha who knows? But it definitely wasn't nearly as dangerous as me welding up a propane-charged phase unit over the summer :p:
Anyone wanna confirm it's okay for me to just show up there?
That's the same thing I told my last girlfriend.
Anyway, I'm getting a free full trip to CES.
Won the ASUS Xtreme Design Competition, click the system build link in my sig for more info.
Not sure if I will make it to the XS party yet-
I'll check if I can have them make my flight leave to leave on Saturday night or something.
I'll see if any of the ASUS booth guys want to go, as well.
For the people going to CES, do you guys know of any other good events outside CES going on? (besides AVN ;))
Final meetings done, schedule is set and new announce will be posted soon in the news section.
Look forward to seeing all you Guys and Girls there!
I've been here a few days now, but I don't think i'm going to be able to stop by... :(
We shall see.
I'M STOKED. SEE YOU ALL Saturday after 6PM, or you can hit me up on my cell (PM for number)
I wish I could be there :'(
w00t, leaving for Vegas in the morning :)
I guess I'm going to miss out on some Vegas experiences... I'm not 18 until April =/
But I guess CES is hardcore enough for me. See ya all in Vegas.
Flight leaves in less than 3 hours. See you guys soon.
In the Memphis airport now waiting on our pilot to get in to fly us to Las Vegas
Im in the Vegas airport waiting to fly back Home...
:(
Unable to attend, feeling really sick.
I'm not going to be able to make it....work reared it's ugly head and I'm going to be very busy next week, unfortunately. I need to be rested for it, not dragging my carcass back from Vegas in whatever state (sure to be bad) that it would be in...
Take care and have fun guys...;)
Just getting into the canoe and heading home from the xs event. Bar none, the most fun I've had in a long time. Excellent event Charles, thank you very much :) and thx to the sponsors. All the overclockers there were super cool dudes. Can't wait for the next one!
