I can't talk that much yet, but like always, every CPU is individual. Mine is not that good.

You guys are awesome :D
I'm working on a massive score with an i7 and 8 LN2 cooled HD2600XT's.
Watch out :D
lol massman
lol chew you scared them all off :p:
Very impressive scores. I have been trying this competition since the start and at the same clocks I am around 1500 points behind the top 3. Hopefully when the competition ends someone is willing to share some tips and tweaks for '05 and help an '05 noob out. I will say I am enjoying the Low Clock Challenges more than LN2 runs lately even though I don't place very well in them.
eeeeh, didn't see that. i'll try to join this LCC asap on AMD. atm, i only have 4x 4890, but 2 of them are crap (925/1050 max :( ). Anyway, i'll post some result soon, at least to join the contest, even if i'm not so good. Hope some 5870 or at least better 4890 to come soon. :p
Haha.. I just realized that there is no mention about cooling methods. On AMD side, cooling will make a huge difference.
NB overclocking is almost all about temperature, so I was really stupid and pushed my system on air :)
Now when I have very good efficiency already, I just need some cold for the CPU. I already got some good scores on RB-C2, but need to do even better with colder temps.
Ha, i thought about this, but i didn't want to tell you before the end of the contest :D :D
I'm ready for 4Ghz NB it seems with some cold on it. And trying to reach 900 6-6-5, bu i definitely need better cards.

I think this was my best shot. No time to run it again, cause there is so much else to do. I was already in the edge with this score.. system crashed 1 second after I got that screenshot :D
Good luck to all participants
Thats a wicked fast time SF3D, Not sure i can beat that with pure hardware. I tried with the same exact config and speeds + tighter ram and am 200 points slower......
This is one of the things I was working on that I was being secretive about. Unfortunately there is to much of a bottleneck at these CPU speeds for it to be of any use but...
AMD CAS 6 WR Ram clock?
http://chew.ln2cooling.com/qdig-file...0c2%20chip.jpg
;) you don't need good hardware for LLC you need fast OS and 3D tweaks :yepp: Fast run Petri ..
nice memory speed :D
That's a really sick IMC on that CPU
I hope you're not still on air cooling?
Then I understand how you can hit 1880CLx ... still very impressive, though.
I'm wondering. Obviously the 3.4G NB clock is limited by the memory overclock, but wouldn't it make more sense to loosen up the ram and increase the NB clock to 4G+? I presume you figured that already so either you're not at those temperature levels that allow you to hit high NB clocks or I'm wrong and tight timings are just plain better.
Well when someone above posted about running 4000NB I
You of all people should know you can not exceed CPU core with NB ;) effeciency goes out the window if you match or exceed CPU with NB.
Tight timings are going to win this one. Here's my fastest run so far......BTW this board is damaged goods so might be why I can't match SF3D( black slots are borked ).

OK here's my final.
I can't submit this because this is not my account however the pro account was a necessity for tuning per GT's.
Preety sure the board is toast now but it served it's purpose.
Tweaks used, I made a custom profile with Fusion to kill all useless services.
Hardware tweaks well none really I froze ram and got my cards nice and chilly as they were thermal throttling.

Wow chew, you're tearing it up dude. Unbelievably tight timings at such memory frequency. :eek2:
Well i am flabergasted........I think I am gonna send this board back to ASUS for R&D........fricken one tough cookie.

@AndreYang : that insane result Boosss.....:up::up:
Andre
why didn't you use the e762?
Maybe because it has Nf200.....so 300 points lower:p:
Well done Andre:up:
This competition only provides for those with like 4x SLI or Crossfire!? not too fair.
hey chew* nice work man:up: keep givin em hell man :ROTF:
Found some more time to play. All hardware pieces are still alive :D

There is still some more juice left in this setup
Need to test Intel setup soon as well ;)
Will we see sub 3.5 GHZ for a AMD setup ? :D
I presume all of your are using HD4k cards as the HD5k don't have optimised drivers for 05 yet and scale badly in multi-gpu config?
Here is latest run on Intel gear. My OS got corrupted during some crashes, so have to do these again.
Here is what I got:

Superb runs, Petri :D
I got the new Phenom II X4 965 (125W TDP) this week so i'll try again AMD LCC, with good 4890 i hope :p
3 gpus minimum
The 58xx are still a "little" expensive,no x2 version just yet,so unless you already have 3-4 4890's....it's a little hard
to compete for a lot of people that's for sure.
As far as SLI goes.....can you even get 28000 points
with the cpu under 3500mhz?
(Not much experience with 3dmark here.:) )
Is this over now?
Yes it's over sorry for not updating in time. PM me your address
Grats to you and Andre!
PM sent.
I am thinking of giving this price away in Finland. We have similar low clock contest going on in there, so I let someone else be happy.
SF3D if you won amd part you can give me this mb :D
it will be my chance to be better than I am now :D
but price should went to second place :) ofc
Congrats Petri and Andre, too bad I didn't have time to join this :)
Congrats to both of of you! well donw :)
Offcourse also concratulations from mine site to the both of you.
To bad I had to withdraw, because of family matters.
Today I did some tests and the result I want you all to see :)

Do it when you got time, love to see if you can beat this ;)
Verry nice oldscarface
Not sure if it can be beat but it can be matched.
I tested effeciency of all the boards......my prediction was either CH III or MSI, msi better in GT3 than all other boards, CH III was better than all other boards in GT1 and 2.
fwiw you can take my m4a79_t results with a grain of salt, all my boards were damaged goods ;)

What's wrong with GIGABYTE?????? I NEVER receive my prize so far.
Oh..well...Gigabyte doesn't have one P55 for prize. This is a big joke.
Andre, you're making a fool out of yourself ...
EVEN if I win a toothpick, YES I will complain..... :)
Looks like there is a brands' "war" going on...
What "brands war"?..... :D
He won a price and he MUST have it.....
What brand, it doesn't matter... :D
Like you don't understand George.... Offcourse he HAS to claim and take his prize, he won it fair and square.
Though, I am pretty sure that a person who is able to spend 30,000 USD in picking processors would never flame a brand in public for a P55 board...
Anyway, thats just my thoughts, I could be wrong...:)
Sorry dread77 but i do not understand you...:)
What has one thing to do with the other?
He could be able to spend 100,000$ for picking one CPU but why he should, cause of this fact, not have the right to be  up if he won a price and did not get it?
I never won a price :D but if i would and i did not get it i'll also be angry (and be sure this depends not on the money or hardware you have)
OK, so I am probably wrong. Sorry for making assumptions like that.
