Regardless of what we said, I knew from what you've done so far that whatever you chose to do would end up working out well.

Can't wait for updates!

Man, I really wanna rebuild my Raven case now! I did air cooling to make sure everything worked and got lazy (and poor).

Well, I though about that too, but the top rad is in the way. And I really do not want to cut that sleek looking brush aluminum top :)

What type of spray did you use? The sound "card" looks pretty well done.

I have the same board withe the same blocks. They sure do look sexy :).

This is just a recommendation but this is what my plan is going to be when I build my rig. Have a 120.3 Feser rad on top for the GPUS, and a 120.2 Feser rad on the bottom for the CPU (even though they are opposite sides of the case this is the only way I can mount the rads without having to do a lot of modding or changing in the looks of the case).

I will be using the Swiftech MCP355 (Laining DDC) with the XSPC Res Tops added on (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=23357) and mount them right on the bottom of the 5.25 rack possibly using either a UN mount or just screw it in myself and jus use BP 45s or 90s to make the tubing path.

I know you already have you res tops, but just figured id give you another idea.

I got my GPU waterblock this morning, so I now have all the main parts. When I get home, I'll take some photos of the rad installed and start working on the support for the rez/pump. I'll get more work done this weekend mostly :)

You can always get the XSPC dual bay DDC res that firts in 2 5.25 bays and has capability for 2 loops easy. That is actually the route I will be going since it looks better IMO.

Painting the back plates of your vga & sound card is really nice.

About the bottom rad, if the case bottom plate surface does not , you may use a radiator neoprene gasket, or make a custom one by filling the blank spots of the radiator's trace on the bottom plate.

I used some MB support to make the rad higher up and straight. of course I painted them black :)

I sued some rubber washer as the hole where bigger then the MB support. That will also stop some possible vibrations.

And the top Rad and CPU/MB, i was thinking something like this. Both rez/pump on the same side is going to be a pain because the video card goes all the way to the SATA port. And putting higher will make the top filling almost impossible to reach.

Can you turn that *enermax* logo (The black painted ones) the other way around? im talking about the fans now.. So that you still have that nice enermax logo the right way.

When it comes to the pump mount, why not put it in your dvdrom bays? (hope you understood me there) i guess it can be hard to fill, but thats my best idea =\

yes i can turn them (i already did it for the top rad)

And no, I don't want the rez/pump in the 5.25 bay, i don't like it :)

Well are you comfortable filling the CPU/MB rez where you have it in the picture?

Otherwise, if you have to put it lower, which would conflict with the videocard, find a way to mount it above your floor-rad, or directly to the drive cage.

Hm, that would probably put a lot of weight on the drive cage considering you chopped its poor feet off.

May I suggest a combination of these:

Let me know if you don't fully get my idea, but you would have the pump on fan. You would also probably have to support the rez better though.

How's the idea of just disconnecting them (upper tank/pump) and use tubing from tank to pump ? Then u can still have the tank where you like it and the pump lower than the video card, just above the bottom rad ( u can also use a UN bracket for mounting the pump on the 4 holes of the left fan - Absolute Pump Bracket Rev. 3 & Z2 Bracket )

I am thinking about placing the pump and rez separately. But I don't like those bracket too much.

I will do some testing this weekend.

Now what about those 2 fan on the bottom rad. Should i keep them this way up ? pumping air down ?

I guess that the best performance is with fans pushing air to the rad from the bottom of the case (rad placed on fans). Since you want the fans that way, i think it's better to pull air from the rad, not pump air down.

A thought on your res placement - I like where you have them, but I understand the concern about the fillport. I remember seeing a build (perhaps one of Charles H's?) where a fillport was added on, I think, the top of backplate, then connected to the res top. You'd need to use a 90 degree fitting, but that shouldn't be a problem. Not sure, but that might also require tilting the case a bit to get the liquid into the res. Just a thought.

Re the fans on your radiator. Are you talking about the bottom radiator, and is it for your GPU loop? If so, I would go ahead and leave the fans taking air from the case - to the rad - to the bottom. Yes, you'll be using the warmer case air, but this also will give you airflow through the case. I think the effect on your GPU temps will not be that drastic, and you should still get good performance. I'd probably try it that way first, then change it around if it didn't work.

That is one truly awesome idea ! I did not think about that. make a 90° on the back plate with a fill port, Then i could use a simple 45° with some tubing to fill it up. i like this a lot, I see if i can find those photos from Charle's projects.

And for the fan, yes you got it right, i will try it this way. As the fan look much better this way up !

Small update.

I have no photo available for the moment... My girlfriend took the camera with her and forgot to bring it back home.... So I got feed up of borrowing her stuff and I order myself a Canon SX20IS. It's not as good as my old 40D with L lens, but I sold that one, so their is no coming back lol

I will get this tomorrow so I can show you the progress I have made this weekend :) I placed both rez and 1 pump. I made a small order from PPCS today, for the last pump placement and some bitspower fitting.

So more news tomorrow :)

I did more wire cleanup and installed the SATA cables. Am still waiting on couple parts to finish up the fan's wiring.

Yes, I though the same when i saw the photo :)

I need to find a shot with them without sticker, to make sure i don't see some ugly parts behind it (like screw or something)

I have a question now. i really hate how the power SATA look like. It's plugged in the other way around.

Do I have the keep the wiring the same way ? Can i turn the plug around ? Or am going to blow everything up !

it's a tiny loop indeed.
Anyway, this looks super duper nice! you've taken the black/white further than i've seen before..

Question though: is that 90 degree T fitting ok for the pump? like can it handle that many turns and twists n so on?

Sadly,, I did not think about this until too late. but I can't feed the pump with water like this... its pumping air from the top radiator and pulling into the rez. So nothing is happening... Am re-doing this better and will have some photo ready tomorrow.

Am hoping to have the system firing up next weekend. i did some leak testing, and I find those EK rez not too reliable really... Even very tightly screwed they leak some.

Am also kinda thinking of selling this build and/or changing the case (I really want a MuderMod !)

But I still can't get this working :confused:

The pump is a little higher up over the rez. Despite the fact that I re-routed the inlet of the pump directly on the rez. I filled up the system in full with water but its still not pumping...

This is driving me nuts, it's the only thing missing before I can fire up the build:mad:

I used green because that what i had in stock at my house, but that not the color I want to keep. i will see later, but it will probably end up as simple distill water with pt nuke

hi everyone !

I've been busy this past couple week and didn't have time to reply.

As i said before, i used green because i had it in stock ! but i would rather use some black. i asked this guy on the forum who made those great dye, but never got a reply...

Anyways, here is a screen of my 3D mark Vantage run with the CPU running stable a 4.2 :)

Digging up my build for update. Need some advise. :)

My pump/rez just above the PSU wasn't such a good idea. Its getting very hot. So hot that the green dye broke up in less then a month...

SO i though about a front bay rez. I was thinking using the XSPC dual DDC one. I also like the EK Spin rez, but am not sure it will run good on with 2 DDC pumping into it. Seen anyone do it yet ?

Putting a single bay rez would also mean breaking my 2 loop into 1. I would still run in both radiator.

What do you think ?

Go with the XSPC dual-bay dual DDC rez.
That way you still get your dual-loop.

I see no personal problem with the spin rez, just place the pumps on the walls of the 5.25" bays or somewhere that they have a little extra distance. Actually, if you are removing the tube rezes you could put both pumps on the wall next to the mobo.

Got the HX750 and there is a kind of plastic ring at the end of the PCI-E cable.

Are you sure it's running that hot ? I mean it's not in direct contact...
and if it is so hot that the color's fading, your components must be heating up too, don't they?

otherwise you could switch the green with a deep blue that would just look awesome with your build....
and ofr the heating problem I would just try to insulate more efficiently the pump from the PSU.

saying this, with the idea that a single loop would be easier and even quieter (I know the DDC is not that loud...I have one!)

I did not cut them, the 2 PIC-E lane on the hx850 didn't have them (but the other do) I only used 2, so no need to mod the other cables

Well thr actual temp were not so high in the gpu loop, put the pump itself was much hotter over the CPU was.

I made the change, but i still need to make some mod to it. It's running better i can kind of like the look of the build before the change better :x

I love those cases. Ever since a customer asked for one at Micro Center and I first saw one I was hooked. My next desktop will be in an ATCS 840 :)

That PSU is awesome as well, is what I have at the moment.

Hi all,

Digging up my build treat for some update :)

In the following weeks, I will make a few change to the build. Am first going to buy a fully modular PSU, probably a Seasonic 650W (my Corsair HX850W is overkill really for the gear I run). Am going to sleeve it white and black again but this time I will be using white and black cable cut the right length before sleeving in order to get a perfect finish.

I am also going to rethink to loop, I don' like it this way. I have some idea in the work for that. Probably going to change the bottom rad position and other parts.

if you're lookin' in the 600s PSUs fully modular, i'd say go with this or this one if you need a bit more... it's cheaper but still very good.

No upgrade plan for the gear atm. (Maybe video card, but its not worth the money for me to upgrade the GTX285)

Will change RAD, ddc top and rez. Going back to single loop with both pump in line with Ek twin.

A few other idea I have, that keeping a surprise for now :)
