cpulloverclock, I was just about to post those results :D
good timing hehhe.
Insane results there.
He also got 26sec SuperPi 1M (equal to 3.2GHz A64 FX51).
Thats pretty much the absolute performance limit for P4 EE at the moment. Even if you could push the CPU MHz a bit higher the mobos and RAM can't do much more than the 314MHz 5:4 he has already got there.
5050MHz@PI 1M = 25sQuote:

but FX-51 is a better choice and soon FX-53 and Prescott
wcpuid detects a socket 423 = bug
:slobber:
I don't understand why they don't do 3dmark...
prescott? not really...Quote:

even intel positions the prescotts under the P4EE! ;)
we'll see with some future "real" testsQuote:

lol...
P4EE @ 5gHz and 9800xt @ 600/450= 31K EASY
Here's what I don't understand...some peeps say "oh -200C is a waste, CPU's don't operate at that temp....just go -90C...it's just as good, blah, blah"
I say BS :D
C
Fugger is at 29.4k with 600/450 and 4.5Ghz i dont think he will gain over 1.5k if he's P4 where clocked 500MHz higher ;)Quote:

rather with a 9800XT@660/510 cooled by ln2Quote:

japanese guys aren't motived except holicho
You don't?? Look at my rig and Opp's... we have identical GPU clocks, but he has 160mHz more CPU and a VIA chipset..."voila! 1.3K difference"Quote:

u're right CHarlie he does but i dont think that if u were able to clock your cpu 130mhz higher you would gain 1.3k it just seems unrealistic. However i think that the XT is pretty much maxed out on Fugger rig, and therefore you wont see big changes in score maybe 500ish. Also remember AMD gives more point per clock than P4.Quote:

i tend to agree with pejsen though i think it would be real close.
i say someone volunteers to teach the jap oc'ers some english, and then have them register here on xtreme :D
That'd be AWESOME!!Quote:

"And today new Xtreme friends have new benchie for you..."

With hard work I able to achieve 650/460 and 3D stable at 5012mHz."

Well atleast the 3.2C I had didn't like colder cooler base than -130C or so.Quote:

So two people confirm this now....i'll have to try it out with my KHX, they are in 1,3 right now.Quote:

Pardon my ignorance but is that Macci and a 3.2 EE at 5.1gig?
Ok then Im convinced if it is then that the cpu here has more in her with better cooling
Macci, would it be worth trying the droop mod to the asus board to see if it helps the vcore drop? I find its worse with the EE now :)
If those guys did, most others would eventually lose interest in doing 3Dmarking as the scores would be virtually unreachable.Quote:

creative, its memesama from Japan with the mad P4 EE clocks :)
droop mod helps with voltage drop but I personally didn't get any extra OC potential by doing it. I was just able to hit the same max MHz with lower BIOS Vcore setting.
this is getting way off topic, but oh well..
does anyone think theres a reason for him using win 2003 server? its basically just like xp pro, but is there somthing else to it.. hes used it also for his fx-51 overclock to 3ghz.

How is it better? In what ways? We've seen his score and know he's using it, but that's about it. Do you know the specific advantages of Win2003? I would need to know before thinking of switching my OS. Thanks :DQuote:

for me (and jap guys) there is a better ram managementQuote:

a good configuration is very very important and decisive
try it, u'll see yourself
I give again the link : http://www.msfn.org/win2k3/
I tried Win2k3 after seeing some people here using it....I could not get it working properly...
My max overclocks were not attainable in Win2k3 but were fine in WinXP. My settings just were not as stable. I was also forced to use DX9 for 3DMark2001SE as the supplied 8.1 would not work even when fully enabled. Games worked fine with it but 3DMark would not run.
I switched back to XP Pro.
WTF!??Quote:

Thats equal to my 3.2C at 3984MHz (RAM 1:1 TURBO settings on P4C800).
Are you sure its not EE CPU?
cpulloverclock,
Thanks for the link...nice guide. I will try it for myself when I get time to play with it. :D
34s at 3650MHzQuote:

u can do that?????
Hell no I cant thats what makes me wonder if its a EE CPU (I need higher FSB/RAM and over 300MHz extra CPU to get that 34sec..Win2003 can't be THAT much faster can it??) :D
so true, it's weirdQuote:

why wcpuid show stepping ID 5? it' s not 9 ?
I tried and hated win2k3 and it sux for gaming imho. Also im really annoyed withthe systrm asking for my reason to shutdown/restart
Aha and the answer is found....Quote:

Note on those SL6Z3 (derivitave of the 3.20EE) CPUs.......its also 5....on "normal" P4's its 9. :p:
Definetely an EE.
no I dont understand how they get thatQuote:

I can get a 36-37s at 3650MHz with my 2.4c (12*304) and ram in 5:4 (2-5-2-2)
OS : WIN2K3 or XP it's the same score ÆæÅý
I got 32sec for Pifast at 4ghz iirc
http://users.bigpond.net.au/batmaun/ee/SuperPi/4gig.GIF
Not the best, but not too shabby and easilly 2 seconds faster than the normal P4C I used to have :)
Nice. That chip is rocking hard
ur on win2k pro?
Nah Winxp with visuals turned off for benching
WinXP for the Intels I thought? :)
a P4EE get the same score than a P4C 3.0G
http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconVa...p/gp36_34s.gif
cpulloverclock, I think that the other 34sec 3.65g was also with P4 EE? :)
However :;!§&? look at wcpuid personally I see P4 3.0C :confused:Quote:

That's a lie???
steppin id is 5 like on P4 EE chips thou :)
so I guess we can assume its a P4 EE...no other way to get such fast score at those clocks
probably it's the same thing as the x86-secret P4EE review, multi 18 show P4 3600... 15 show 3.00 ?
http://www.x86-secret.com/articles/cpu/k8-2/a64-9.htm
Creative, can you please put a WCPUID screen? that 3.2 (not 3, the multi is 16) doesn't say EE, and since you have an EE you can solve all oh this :D
Well, unless if the bios doesn't support EE chip the other 2 L3 cache will still be activated, than it dosn't metter \:
Oh, and macci, any chances youl get the SiS755? has PCI and AGP locked and it get's great scores at 3dmark 01 and 03. i still don't know how it OCs though \:
CPU-Z will say Gallatin core, stepping ID 5 and M0 revision, its easy to tell, I would use that instead. It also clearly shows "Extreme Edition" and the logo.
In the WCPUID the SetFSB program is covering the cache so it looks like a normal 3.20.
With cpuid I get the same thing, no EE branding after the cpu name :)
It is stepping 5 though like Macci said is to be EE so I rekon that is how u can tell it is one
Not on my pc now, house got flooded with storms here lastnight. They rekon 1 in 100 year storm and we had it :(
ouch that isn't good drew
saw that on the news
apparently it's a once in a lifetime storm
Hey creative, kommando from ocau forums here.
Nice work, nice oc, nice everything ur an inspiration to aussie benchers.
Creative,
I saw the storm on the news, looked really bad dood. Sorry to hear of the damage and flooding. Did it leave you in a bad way? Remember you have friends here at your other home and if you need some help until you get things sorted again, please don't be too proud to let us know. :D
not lucky...
I sympathize
It's the same thing in the south of France, there are floods and storms (with winds at 85-90mph) it's too hot (68-74°F for december)
surely to balance the dryness of this summer (108-112°F)
ouch.. gonna take pics of the damagae ? :)Quote:

Hey guys
Really really appreciate the kind words you have. Simply a joy to be at this place feeling all the good vibes and all that other stuff that goes along with it. You are a true representation of XS.org TheDude  :)
I was able to get some snaps. About 150 in all :D We have to get some new carpet and stuff in the lounge, and the study here will sort of be ok cos its Vinyl floors....I lost my Klipsch's though, they are sitting in the garage bogged with water inside the subby :( And every single power cable, power adapter board etc had to be replaced this afternoon.....so see what the insurance company can do about that
Heres the pics start at top, then go down, its like a timelime from 2am lastnight till 8pm tonight

Anyways, been a long day so off to bed now. Again, thank you for the support and Ill be sure to keep you updated.
Wow....Take lots of pics for the insurance co...thank God for insurance. I'm not in a flood zone, but still have total replacement insurance.
When it's all settled, if you still need any parts...etc. PM me...I'm sure the community will stand with you and help all we can. :D
Damn, that's bad mate.
I remember when we had a flood, dodgy pipes, I came down the next day to find everything that wasn't bolted down floating around the living room in about 2 feet of water, it was a nightmare.
Did get me a day off school though.
Get onto the insurance company ASAP, and don't take no for an answer. :D
ouch Creative... lucky for insurance! I should get off my butt and insure my gear as well in case :o
Damn Creative. That sux bro.
You guys got insurance?
Hopefully none of your hardware was damaged.
Dang that sucks.
Hope everything is fixed up.
I'm really sorry to hear about this, and unfortunately it looks as though the room with your PC stuff got the most amount of water.
I will say this, I don't beleive there's another forum which comes remotely close to the sense of community and caring expressed here at Xtreme! The founder's ought to be proud, I bet they never thought it turn out to such a great group of people!
Yep the drains in the street got blocked and so they overflowed and caused a big flood in the area infront of our house. We live opposite a street entrance and that street goes up a hill. We also copped all the rushing water straight down this steeet so thats why so water was reaching our house.
Im hoping that speakers are the only thing that needs to be replaced. Dad has said to go and buy what we need and then write a list and he will claim it :)
I guess we could have been worse and I feel for the people who copped it worse. But when put in context, we could have been a lot worse off
You are all too kind and I appreciate it. As Liquid said, I dont know of a forum where its users are so quick to rally behind and support another member - its freakin ace
ps
12:15pm on Thursday and it just started to rain again heavilly. No rain since 2 nights ago when this happened. But yep, its coming pretty hard now - Im off to get some sandbags :D
heheheheh
Creative build or dig a mini moat around your house/property and divert the water from the street around your house :)
Its been raingin for 3 days straight up here in brisbane. Starting to freak me out, but its stopped now so my fear has gone *stops panting*
Ooooh nasty weather........
Hopefully everything turns out well in the end. Luckily I've not had to endure that level of flooding in the past. Worse it ever got was up to the front entrance....
just saw the weather forecase for Australia tomorrow - every major city/state is going to be raining/thunderstorms except Adelaide and Hobart :eek:Quote:

I'se seen lots of water around here too, the whole basement in 1.5 feet of water or so...
and now the ceiling starts to come down (though that's not really weather related)
Hope you get all your gear back, and god, let is stop raining...
I'm very sorry I jacked this thread, but it was for a good reason. If the owner wants, I can remove the weather related posts and the posts expressing concern for Creative and start a new one with them?
If I recall correctly Creative started this thread, so I don't think he'll mind...
LOL...should have looked first! :DQuote:

All good TheDude  :D
I dont mind cos I got a new 3dmark tonight and also on top of that, the house is sorta cleaned up now. We have been working frantically for the past 48 hours with only about 10 hours sleep and im now on my pc back in the study :toast:
As stated earlier you are all such great people here. We havnt even met and yet the support I recieved over the last 2 pages of this thread have touched me I must admit. I like coming to this place, and will continue to do so _ im single, so Ive gots to get the loving from somehwere
hehehehehehe
Night guys :)
