Congrats on the first post!
aHHHHHHHHH i need to start cleaning, but i got the saturday bug.
:P
Do you guys think i honestly care?
It adds personality to the thread when you and dave come in.
im gonna tease you guys with this:
Haruhi's Almost finished Chiller.

http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/a...r/DSCN3004.jpg
You guys see now why she's a queen in my rig collection.
I intend to keep the coolant @ 10C also.
skinnee and Gillbot, lets see you guys soapbox break that.
I know skinnee is going "OMG u never told me this... TEC yes, phase no..."
Is this war between the extreme?
Hey Naekuh, yeah that padistal does add to the case. :D
Also, I am dumping my EVGA board, I got the Blood Rage and she is a beaut. I personally think it is better than the EVGA Vanilla x58 board. Plus it looks bad a**. And after the Classified fiasco, who know when they will be available.
Some Updates:
Here is my GPU Rad Sandwitch:
Uses 5 SanAces MCR320 + MCR220 = MCR520?
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1312.jpg
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1311.jpg
My CPU Loop Res, I decided to double parallel the 90 like so:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1310.jpg
My HD X2's Pulled, Man Cleaning is a PITA:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1309.jpg
More to come later.
So now I have to add a chiller to the Gaines build just to keep up?
I give up.. You have more money than I do.
hell, you got more money invested in just fittings than I do!
Local Builder Teyber.
I decided to ditch the PA160, meh, i'll show you guys why in a bit. Im worried the backpressure from the air on the PA system will choke my MCR system, or vice versa.
Yup make things short, i ran out of room in the pedistool.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1313.jpg
Dayam MCR's look kinda small comapred to a PA in this picture.
NOTE: Martin you are dayam correct in the primochill LRT tubing having the best bend radius. Its even better then the fesser and XSPC tubing.
Wow, nae that rad sand is awesome, (EDIT) nvm i see it.
kinda bumb'd out tho.
if i had the PA160 i could technically run my entire cpu loop at around 1100 rpms. making the system real quiet, however i cant fit the PA160 without causing backpressure in the middle.

Still have a lot to do.
you really like the zipties eh ? :D
lookin good so far
Yes he does...his soapbox is held together with zipties as well. :D
Man i so hate sleeving... im working on sleeving...
I got the system live, dude, im liking this eVGA.
As a bad vdroop tho, compared to the P6T which had almost 0.
Ok Snipe i hate you for being correct.
Absolutely right, this 1 little LED wont do jack.
All it does is light up my Tubing which feeds the DDC, and nothing else.
My res is a cool purple color tho, but the camera wont show it.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1316.jpg
Meh back to more sleeving.
And i need to cable organize this...
well I cant say I didnt warn ya :D It's ok I am a youngling as some would say so I guess I can see why you might not have believed me
Late to the party. Hard to find anything to harrass you about...I'll keep looking.
Got one.
How come the chiller isn't chrome plated hunh?
im in line for stepup to the classified.
aHHHHHHHHHHH i just lost a stick of DDR3.
Maybe thats why my crapsus didnt see it, and its not actually crapsus.
But after using the P6T besides that ONE ANNOYING memory issue, im starting to think its a better board then this vanilla eVGA.
(hence why i stepped up).
Anyhow some pictures for you guys:
I tried to make my layout simple so i can remove the board within 30min. Here i pulled my board out ONE MORE Fin time to inspect the pins to see if it was bent or not.

James you asked me if i was busy:
Wheres Waldo!
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1319.jpg
You tell me, im still cleaning that wiring up.
2 PSU's = Nightmare in wires...
Unless its an HX1000. :D
NaeKuh ... I continue to be so impressed with your work. I never thought I'd see you sleeving so much!
Sorry that EVGA 58 is not working out for you, but I'm really looking forward to your take on the Classified.
Actually shazza i lost a DDR3, so i think that was the culprit.
And thanks for your kind words.
Oh i got a bugged sensor or my cpu waterloop is somehow breaking the laws of physics on the cpu temp...
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...orla/Wierd.jpg
Makes me wonder if i really need to watercool this board or the classified...
How does the temperatures compare to Core Temp or Real Temp? I'm guessing a stuck sensor.
Sidenote, still need to know your answer from my previous PM concerning the filter (filter or filter + shroud).
Bei also approves of my Classified block design :) Just need the correct dimensions from you or from EVGA (if they ever decide to answer my PM...)
PM Sent.
I ordered some G.Skill PI ram.
If i like them, i'll probably get another 6gb and go 12gb on the setup.
If the spreaders are average, i'll probably take them off, since the ram was so cheap, and drop in koolance's Ram cooler. :T
Still debating.... id like to keep 75% of my heat in the top pedistool and leave the bottom cool for the board and GPU backside ram.
I got my gskill PI ram.
I got 6gb back in both bios and windows.
I might pick up another 6gb and max out my ram sector with 12gb, why not its haruhi right?
Man stupid corsairs, now i need to rma one stick.
My line for the classified is now 183.
I think people are canceling and not stepping up because the board has still been OOS.
good look doing your wire management, since you are using dual psu's do you have any idea where i can mount my modu 82+ in the back of a cosmos s?
looking good naekuh
you mean good luck?
Thats what i told myself each time i look at that mess. Im not going to do any hardcore management until after i get my classified.
But yeah, i may throw in a gi joe figure and have you guys really look for waldo in that mess.
That would be interesting huh?
As for placement help, i need a picture, pm me it, and i'll see if i can improvise something to help ya out.
Ouch today is a hot day, and my vregs are in the 60ish. Board is still cool at 28-30ish.
mmm... i may need a waterblock on the mosfet only on the classified.
i want to play where's waldo
as for the placement i am not building yet until 4890's come and x58 revision rolls out
where the psu bay is at the bottom i was thinking of attaching both of my psu's there (1 internal 1 external) and just hanging there
i could use the 120mm fan holes to mount it as well and use the mesh on the side to mount as well, i don't have much to choose from i want to make it hidden as possible
when are you getting your classfied?
I cannot wait to see how the Classified performs. for taking the plunge!
Look out for the sleeving, it can become an addiction!
damn 6 months  lets hope not.
OT: Soul eater = freakin' awesome. cant wait to see the last episodes.
Thirty-odd step ups were processed today, so you should be a bit closer.
some nite shots for you guys.
snipe your once again absolutely correct, i needed CCFL's.
Shown with 2 acryan CCFL's i had unused in storage back in my bling days. These wont be on for long for i hate CCFL's with a passion.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1324.jpg
see zipties look nice when u have UV's.
Also my sleeving matches the zipties.
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1325.jpg
Gonna check my stepup line now, thanks for that info zlojack.
EDIT:
Next Step: Waiting In Queue: #153
Sleeving, color coordinated zip ties, and more -
What color scheme are you going to do with the Classified? Sounds like it might be here sooner than the 6 months you guessed.
Well looks like you are pecking away at it...
12GB of RAM FFS
so give me an update! whatchu got connected, testing? case preparation?
You heard of Slow Racing? I dunno but he and MovieMan are tied right about now...
no dave got wrong ram for his setup, and ended up having to get new ones.
My D0 is not expected til near end of the month. Right now its my 965.
I need to clean that cable mess u saw behind my motherboard, then i need to braid any other cables i have and try to clean it up.
Im hoping that color combo goes well with the classified red and black.
I might paint my koolance mount to red to match the classified tho. I have 2 holders i can tinker with :P
hey naekuh would black smoked arylic look good in a internal black case?
with a CCFL (non UV) giving some light to view the case?
Where did you get ahold of a D0??? I remember a website pre-ordering them or something but I was just curious, I'm looking to get one :)
I'll be honest. I love your pcs. Keep posting more pr0n.
naekuh, dont know if you got your classified yet but its instock @ egg

GL
$450.00 for a single socket board!
I paid $420.00 for my last EATX SM dual socket board..
Of course the new one coming today is $600.00+:shakes:
Next Step: Waiting In Queue: #97
gonna step up.
Starting on another machine while my board gets stepped up.
I was gonna call it Ryoko, but im slowly falling in love with the name Tomoyo.
i'll show it off in a bit, i got over 200 dollars in bitsy and koolance fittings coming to my door soon.
Is the older evga X58 any good? im trying to decided on a X58 board.. im very keen of the Gene II for its size as well as the JR from DFI but the price is so similar its very hard to decided.
is the other system i7?
I like the DFI X58 bios a bit better than the EVGA x58 bios from all of the experiences that I have had with both. Although the classified is obviously the superior board because of the power delivery and the ability for much higher QPI speeds. Just remember that the DFI board uses a digital PWM while the older X58 EVGA uses an analog.
The P6T series has a better vdroop control then the vanilla evga.
Right now i dont know if my P6T is bad or not. As i said i had a bad ram, so that could of been the catylist for mh P6T being bad.
This is why i need to setup a second bench station to start testing i7 stuff. Hence why Tomoyo or whatever name i decide to give it is getting built.
I hear yea, my P6T DLX has been doing well but the next X58 is going to be a personal system so im trying to get something better for myself.
its been hard trying to decided which is really worth the money. whats important to me is efficiency as it will be my main render slave and will stressed
often. as well as best for SLI support, the only cards i have right now are my 8800GTS 512s. Does anyone use the onboard RAID on the x58s?
sorry for the OT Naekuh.. lol
mmmm... was in the same boat as you.
When i bought this X58 i knew i could step it up. I wanted to test drive so to speak. Well, my honest advice.... get the classified, and skip the vanilla.
The Classified is a EATX board btw, so its like double the JR size your used to evil.
as for onboard raid, im on it right now.
Its not bad.
damn it Naekuh.. freakn want the classified now :shakes:
im not a big fan of matx boards.
On most occasions they lack the power regulation ATX boards have. :\
However my HTPC (Kagami) is a MATX off the nforce 9300 platform.
Absolute rocks btw :D
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1326.jpg
Yes i can mount a rad on the side externally and feed the tubing internally, no i havent considered it since the E7500 it uses i didn't oc, instead its uber downvolted.
She doesnt make any noise, except a slight tick once in a while on the HD. (she has a raptor) :\
Thats my pure HTPC, has network drives connected to Sammy, who has 8 drives on it, and i stream my content over a 1gb network.
Classified probably coming my way. First week of April, hopefully.
I hear that the Classified uses double 8 pin ATX.
Should I trust OCZ Vertex? I know Anand thinks well of them, but I'm still skeptical, especially after the Intel X25-M fiasco. Give me SLC Intel X-25-E or Samsung anyday. Somehow, MLC random writes still look pathetically slow.
Meh i hype about it more, and you guys end up getting it b4 me.
Wheres the justice in that?
Ok i dont like the name Tomoyo anymore... i think im going back to either Skuld, or Ryoko.
Im more leaning on Skuld as i want to get back in the goddess name themes.
I had always planned on it .. as far back as two months ago.. when the first pics were released on Vr-Zone. I'm going one step better than the 9800GT.. no way am I buying that. I'll one-up that guy, in my own way, on my own time, on my own terms.
What is it with all those Japanese names ? Its the last thing I would associate my favorite possessions with.
Any clue on how long it will take for you to be 1st?
wishful thinking is about 2 weeks.
That is why I dislike the EVGA upgrade program. BFG ships out upgrades on the same day. I mailed out a video card and received a new video card within the same seven-day week.
I'm telling, EVGA isn't what its hyped out to be.
NaeKuh, now you know I'd be rockin the WC on that setup. :ROTF: Thinking on going smaller than mATX myself lately. Problem is, I still haven't touched my P45 JR board yet and that's still several builds away. http://smilies.vidahost.com/ups/archinto/smile2.gif
Karma?
About X58 RAID apparently you are stuck with a 128 Stripe...not that big a deal...but if you are into optimizing for SSDs or whatever it might be a slight hinderance.
I like the DFI X58...not into top end stuff ATM.
It looks like Dave is trying to lose the slow race...then again he collapsed from exhaustion from circling the front yard waiting for FedEx so who knows...
CyberDruid,
What is your opinion on the OCZ Vertex?
really?
i swore i set mine at 64,
i need to double check.
Next Step: Waiting In Queue: #95
i may get another eVGA X58 when i step up (so i dont need to redue my entire OS), and then return it when i get my stepup. <3 Frys.
Havent decided yet, but theres also a few things like SSD's i want to pick up when i return that board, so im really debating on it.
aHHHHHH IANY i havent gotten over your SSD fever yet.
Fittings Fittings and more Fittings..
thought i should share this with you guys, im not a neat person like DB and Mcoffey in keeping my fittings organized.
Its not all pretty, but the quantity i have would most definitely rival DB and Mcoffey:
1 of 3 boxes i have that look like this:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1327.jpg
When i empty this one out, this one has my newest fittings thats why, it looks like this:
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/IMG_1328.jpg
Someone wanna try to declare value? that koolance package alone is probably 30-40 dollars + in fittings alone, lets not get into the bitspower pack,
And to what purpose do all the fancy twisty shiny ball fittings serve? El cheapo plastic barbs (if installed properly and not leaking) attain the same exact cooling results.
Yet, I am questioned why I go crazy with the underlying computer hardware?
Regarding SSDs, I'm not convinced yet. My heart is still with SAS cheetahs.
Dave?, you might want to look at NeaKuh's IP addy, I think you'll find it matches someone else who has already been banned. :p:
just kidding. ;) or am I?
QFT...mostly. I can see replacing all the barbs with metal ones, they're more durable than plastic and much better to use with worm-drive clamps. I replaced all my barbs with Bitspower's regular $2.50 ones and I thought that was expensive, but that's hopefully a purchase I won't have to make again since the barbs should last a while.
Soon, he'll be using fittings to spell his nickname, reserving the Koolance ones for the capital letters only. The tips of the "N" will be spelt with double rotary 45 degree fittings.
And then he'll recycle the same fittings to make up monikers like FTW and WIN.
And then take two years to plan five computers, and not complete building a single computer. Then engage in a lively discussion of what constitutes top water cooling, when he hasn't bled a loop before, ever.
Liking every bit of it so far!
If you don't mind me asking, how the hell do you use zip ties to attach the fas to the rads?
