Can't wait for your testing, Hondacity.
I received a Koolance 350 last week ... I was just a bit underwhelmed by the finish on this block - on the top plate, in particular. Picky, I know :p:

Test against the Koolance :

@faster3200: donīt care about more flow, it takes no effect, if ya got 150 liters/h (like me) or 200 liter ....or even more !
http://www.dexgo.com/index.php?site=...dware&seite=18
Just because the graph doesn't go past 210l/h doesn't mean there's no effect

Typical gain with a Fuzion V2 when going above .7GPM is in the neighborhood of 1.5-2C....and it does seem to keep scaling past what I tested.
Contrary to what you're saying, added flow can (and often does) do something (and this is on the Fuzion V2, a block purported to be flow-agnostic).
Take a look at the GTZ graph in the link you provided....notice the sharp decline in temps as the flowrate increases? What if you continue to increase flow past what was tested (e.g., to a flowrate most USA WCers would run, like 2x+ that)? :stick:
In the same link, the Supreme and the Ybris A.C.S. also have pretty aggressive scaling with flow. Clearly flow is helping a lot more than "nothing" :eh:
Are you guys done....YET???
I'm waiting for results here. Now quite yer clickety clickety, and start benching ASAP!...
Just kidding...:p:
The block looks like good supreme competition, and I've always had a soft spot for all metal/copper construction. That's one thing I really liked about the Stinger V8 and Enzotech blocks. Delrin/acetal works, but there's just something about an all metal block that spews durability/quality/I mean business.
We just need some high flow dedicated loop DDC with top or D5 performance type of testing....
Carry on with the goodnes..
Take it easy and have fun, and looking forward to some more results..
:sofa:
afaik it's just a clear layer of paint, but the easiest way to know for sure is to drop an e-mail to watercool.de
most of the time they reply within a few hours
Every time someone posts something new and the thread moves to the top I get all excited looking for some #'s. Nice to see it is on a bench now! This thread is like crack.
wow that pump set-up is awesome mcoffey, what is the gain in using it like that>?
When is sidewinder going to get the GPU heatkillers???
Also what happened to the real silver plated bitspower fittings?! Now all there seems to be is this stupid "shining silver" which is not actually real silver at all...
I don't know if you guys know this yet or not but www.performance-pcs.com has them and the GPU blocks and rads.!

i ordered 2 4870x2 blocks last nite to go on my chiller:hehe:
Youīre right more like piggyside depend on your taste. I used to use that radiator before with socket 939. It can run passively with stock x2 3800 + nb + older generation of GC.
On oc system it need some fans or just put single huge fans othwerwise it get warmer passively and the temperature increase rapidly. It has dense fins desity though.
Or on the top of a Lian Li PC-343B

To anyone that purchases the MO-RA2, enjoy your 78 feet of 6mm I.D. copper tubing. ;) :p:
I realize that it's 3x parallel, that doesn't matter. It's still 78 total feet of tubing the water has to slug through....and I haven't even mentioned the 60 180š bends yet...hmm, just did. ;) I think the reason these rads "aren't restrictive" is because no ones properly flow tested them yet. Most of the Euros that use this rad love low flow and run their pumps @ anything but full pressure and even when they do, it's not a very high pressure type pump.
Absolutely beautiful blocks, does anyone know if their GPU block for the gtx 260 will fit the 55nm version? or if they will be making one?
If I but the copper version of the heatkiller, can anyone have it nickel plated for me? If so I would get the normal one and how much would it cost? I will send it to whomever can have it done for me cheapest LOL!!
I have mine setup finally. Still looking forward to a test with a "real" flowrate . Very impressed with it though. My first glance I didn't think the bottom was in the greatest of condition but it's fine. It's not lapped mirror smooth like some blocks though so there may even be room for some improvement with a lapping job. I'm too lazy to do it myself but I expect to see some other posting mirror shine blocks eventually

WTF did the TESTER throw his NB and MOSFET ON THE BED WHILE TESTING?!?!?!
Sorry to say i dont really trust you guys nor have faith in your methodology when it comes to testing.
Wheres the Ambients? Wheres the Air Delta in and Air delta out? Where is YOUR COOLANT TEMPS?
Dude we dont even have a Flow chart, sorry but please dont post up BS tests like this one this forum.
Your block is inconclusive as of this moment until we get real numbers, and your gonna confuse the noobs.
Andy hurry and throw it on your bed. I want to see some numbers on this block.
Yes me too!
I'm holding out for McCoffee or Skinnee's results, I love my Supreme too much and it's going to take some logged temp results posted before I'm changing out blocks.
actually skinnee got his i7 setup, i think he's gonna start testing very soon on them.
Oh crap that reminds me i need to send him my RD-30 so he can test these blocks with variable pressure and flow.
Yeah, I had a 775 mishap. :shakes: DFI p35 board went to the silicon and copper graveyard last night when I was changing mounts. So, 775 has been put on hold until I can get a new board.
Good news is the i7 testing moves to the forefront and I can finally get cracking. Have some pressure drop tests to complete and then its full bore. I should be going full tilt by this weekend if all goes according to plan. mcoffey and vapor...we'll be in touch like normal I'm sure.
+1
i like my koolance backplate for the tests....its thick and insulated :D
HESmelaugh also has some results published for this block which show it as being a winner, though I'm sure you've all seen the results already.

Alright, so for my testing do I pickup an HK LT or does it have to be an HK CU? The base is the same, the only difference is the copper top vs. Acetal (POM) top.
Oh yeah, then there is the availability of a backplate.
That's not the way it is. There are three models of Heatkiller 3.0
The HK 3.0 CU and the HK 3.0 LT are identical except for copper vs. POM in the top.
The HK 3.0 LC is the one with the different base (less channels) and no midplate. Also no SS on the top of the block (all black)
I think I'm gonna go with the POM top, one because I think the Copper top is ugly and I can add a Supreme LT to the mix by saving a few bucks.
I want to order the LT HK today but Gary doesnt Have any back-plates left. Does any other backplate work with the HK??
Thx, guys! If I get one of these, can I just use the backplate?? Koolance wants $18 for the backplate....

The EK one looks like the best bet since it bolts through without threaded holes....I have to choose one of these, I don't mind improvisation! I jimmy-rigged my Fuzion V2!:D
how do the HK's compare to the GTZ's???? on 775s?
I like the look of copper too, but the symmetry and layout of that top is just not pleasing to my eye. The POM has more contrast and while I still think its ugly, I'd rather have the POM in my collection versus the copper top.
Now, if I were running a chiller...looks be damned, I want to extra mass of the copper top. Thats what you need ShoNuff...a chiller. :stick:
My HK LT 3.0 arrived today! With a backplate! XD That one it was out of stock on normal page of Sidewindercomputer... but in their checkout page, at the bottom of the page in their recommended product part, it was a link for the backplate... even knowing it was out of stock i added to cart... and i donīt know how but they sent me one! XD No.. is not the 775 backplate... I bought the EK Top for D5 too... this thing is damm huge!
Also... they lowered the cost in the printed receipt so even i did not had to pay a tax for international arrives! Definetely ill be going to do more bussines with Gary!
Hi
have may heatkiller Lt now installed
very good temps
i think first decent block for the i7
Anyone seen flow test of the LC vs LT? Just wonder if the LT is much more restrictive as I will probobly use a XSPC Duel bay pump and therefore have some limited flow, and if its alot more restrictive, the performance gain the LT have over the LC might vanish due to lower flow.
I would still go with the LT, I have almost the same flow as when I had a Fuzion V2. There won't be any gain from getting the LC over th LT....
Does anyone else besides Sidewinder carry the HK CU or HK LT in the US? Any idea when he'll get more stock?
Gary is about to get a new delivery of gear from watercool, im sure if you contact him, he can add whatever you want to the order
