Great video, the expression on macci's face is priceless!
Got it, much better looking than the youtube version
Awesome video!!
thats just SICK
i could swear while seing it, sth in me said , ollie you need to get 940 asap
impressive job man , really appreciate that.
AMD did a great job
Ok downloaded the video, very nice :)
Question I have is... when they showed close ups of the GPU's, what is that board with digital read outs on it ?
Must be a Force Inhibitor Thingy

Looks like a BIOS code and power/reset card.
One question, why no squeaky voices?
Search ebay for a diagnostic card, you can let one ship from China or Hong-Kong for very little money.
When I first saw the video I thought that card was attached to the GPU.
Ho ho ho, that's amazing!!!
Amazing clock, amazing temperature, amazing pic, amazing party :clap::clap::clap:
In the lab with good ventillation voices sound higher pitched when you are blasting. Which means that I start to sound normal. But outside with good ventillation, no impact.
Update-

WOW, I'm way to much used to Intel procs.
I was like WTF, did the pins come out of the motherboard?
Took 15 seconds to realize AMD cpu's still have pins :p:
Thanks for the cpu and mobo Simon! I'm the little guy hehehee. nice video too!
Brilliant pictures Sampsa, thanks!
BTW can anyone count the pins on that CPU stuck to POT?? For me it looks like 938;).
Great event wish i was there in the flesh to see it happen :(
It's times like this I'm proud to be Finnish. Not too proud to be living in Sweden or being based here, but what the heck. Looking forward to whichever time I'll see you guys in person again, Sampsa and Petri. :)
Sweet pics .... Man Wish I coulda made it this year but hey the recession is almost over right? :)
BUY BUY BUY!! Save our country :)
AMD never did hold the highest 3DMark record by TG Daily
http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/41244/128/Quote:
An Intel employee and well-known overclocker contacted TG Daily to point out that AMD actually never did hold the 3DMark record...
...For example, the AMD entry on Futuremark Intel pointed us to only shows a 4.481 GHz clock speed (49% overclock), and not the 6.5 GHz shown in the video. But even more interesting than that, the Intel Core i7 entry on Futuremark Intel pointed us to shows their Model 940 2.93 GHz CPU only clocked at 3.693 GHz (a 26% overclock)...
...fact that it can overclock by 26% and produce a higher 3DMark score than AMD's 49% overclocked machine ...
This is what we get when we combine Intel employee, stupid editor and Futuremark's ORB not recognizing CPU clock speeds correctly for Phenom II X4 and Core i7.
Dr. Who
"nice" to see that Intel employee is contacting news sites and telling them that our result is not a world record..
Lol, Drwho For the Suck!
I don't like this kind of bull:banana::banana::banana::banana:.
That's pathetic and lame, shame on the retard who published that article but moreover ... if trully Dr.Who is behing all this bull:banana::banana::banana::banana:, then what can we say ? :( :shakes:
Continue the good work guys, you trully enlighten and inspire all of us with your endeavors
(Keep in mind that these words are coming out of my mouth, I've only benced AMD cpu once, and it was an XP 3000+ ... only Intel all this time, but I'm trully happy that AMD did such a nice comeback, finally some competition !)
Lets continue on this unfortunate topic here:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=216140
and keep this topic clean and devoted to Liquid Helium benching :)
Oh I'm terribly sorry Sampsa, didn't see that the thread you are pointing me to exists :) I'm going to pay it a visit right now, because for sure these things happening are weird ... :(
So guys, was it cold benching right next to LHe4 ? I heard macci on the video saying : "It's starting to get cold here" :D
HE4? I dont see why you would want to cool a chip with proteins......unless you mean the Helium 4 isotope and then thats just dangerous. :p
(remember kids, you typically cant make compounds with noble gasses, and Im fairly certain that He4 would be impossible)
OMG big congratz for new WR on PII :shocked::eek:
Congrats on the wr, and the video was great.
Just wondering why you guys didn't bolt pots onto the gpu's and super cool them, the wr then would of really got smashed! can't understand why:shakes:
Is there a deal you wr breakers have not to make each other look too bad??:D
after all there are 3 45k results in the orb for 05. When kinpin makes wr attempts he always has pots on his gpu's. And it was an amd/ati event, why couldn't we see what those 4870x2's can really do? it would have given them extra bragging rights:D
Having full LN2 in quad cf for 05 doesn't help the score at all, same for 06.
Can't wait for you guys to have another liquid Helium bench session with approved drivers to shut this so called "Olympics spirit" dirty mouth
Omg 112 cherrypicked phenom's, and congratz for 3DMark05 WR!
Here's a link to a hosted HD version of the video.
I still love to go back and watch this thing. You guys rock.
