Well it has plenty of issues but I love it. It's not as flexible (or fast ) as my old kit from the film days, but at least it feels like real photography again. It's not easy to get good results, shots must be planned, there is so much waiting for processing that its best to get it right the first time.
The grip is actually better then I expected. Good weight, sort of reminds me of an old 35mm pentax my dad owned when I was a kid. It's actually confortable with the extra lens hood and a couple diopters attached.
The 16.6mm lens is a bit weird to get used to. Auto focus is nearly useless for anything but still shots, and it's 100% blind in low light. The LCD quality is far from great. Metering modes seem accurate, white balance not so much.
As far as image quality, I don't think I seen all the potential out of it yet. I didn't take that many shots, most of them in very poor light, I still need to do some more testing with proper lights and outdoors. But overall I have to say that I am impressed with the detail it can produce even with such low lights. The only problems I noticed so far was a bit of chromatic aberration and some flaring in a few pics.
Well that and..maybe I am nuts, but I see a lot of noise reduction even at low ISO. I am not even sure if I should be calling it noise reduction or not, but blurry/out of focus areas sometimes seem to have lots of it.
But yeah, I am having a good time with it. If all goes well, tomorrow I will be picking up the halogen lights that I found last week and will be able to do some better tests.

Thanks, Nate. Yeah, I don't normally do much with vignetting, but didn't mind this version.

I picked up a nice kit of halogen lamps today. 800W, can't keep them too close to the camera for more then a couple minutes or the camera (specially the delrin adapter) start to get really hot. :p:

Love your latest one ANP, great colors! Watermark ruins it though, IMO...
Great shot, ANP. I like the currency shots, from both Goreg and hoax.
@smee ... good detail, and nice use of the diagonal lines. Perhaps a little too much of the out of focus area in the bottom right - that's where my attention went first. Do you have any with just the "players?"

Parker, good crop, good colors. A little detail in the ducks is always good. Maybe back off the PP vignetting a bit, but other than that I like it!
Thanks!

TheGanG, that one has some potential. Mind if I see what some tweaking will do?
That's a good shot.
After some 50,000 shots the little plastic pin that makes the submirror for autofocus flip up with the main mirror broke so I had to tear the camera down to replace that pin with a new (metal) one. It is back together now, and that part works again, but as I was warned something didn't go quite right and the flash doesn't fire, it gives an error code. Probably one of those billions of wires not plugged back in quite right. So I get to take it apart again :p:
