Glad it got there safe. Can't wait to see the results. I've become a real fan of this case because of the couple projects people have going.

i need to start some type of project like this at some point.
Thx for all your comments. I really appreciate them :)

Anyway, looking good, subscribed.
Yeah it has green stickers but no modular cables :D
The worklog will be posted here when iīm completly done.
Until then the only place where you can read it is the
MurderMod Worklog
Update posted! :D
small but an update non the less (im sure he could starve for a bit :up)
keep it up! thats not even close to satisfying! i envy that mobo tray..
thats the part i wish i had the most when it comes to the tj07 aside
from it being a murder mod.. lol
cheers
Out of curiosity, how did you attach the window? Double sided tape? If it's tape, wouldn't there be a small gap?? Or did you use glue (if so, what kind please)?
Steffen did the window come pre-cut with the case or did Charles did the cutting? coz it looks smaller
im sure charles did the cut, first off its in a reverse atx fashion which the case does not come in, and i personally think the smaller window is nicer
how much does a murder box cost?
I used super secret stuff of dualbrain. And i can only say that it is awesome!
it was precut in germany on a waterjet :)
:D
The murdermod price isn´t sure at the moment. Further announcements will be made.
PS: If in the blog is something really incomprehensible due to my sucky english, please tell me ;)
It is an industrial tape. The exact name / brand is unknown to me as it does not have any name on it - but it can be found in lokal stores that are specialized in glue. Just browse the local stores for a transparent tape. :) Sorry if I was not able to tell Steffen what it is, but what shall I do when I buy things with no name on it? I must tell him then that the brand and type is unknown - that results in a secret thing to him :D ... please forgive Steffen!
Thanks Dualbrain! That's kind of what I figured, I have some bad-ass 3M dualsided industrial tape that I've been itching to try, and if your tolerances were that good, I'm hoping to get the same results with mine. Killer!
Great LogAn'sRun!
All that matters is as thin as possible with good stickyness :D And there is always something out there that is better and better - your local glue expert should guide you in case that even your tape isn't thin enough. Going to specialized stores in your city is usually worth more than gold. I think that it is the greatest fun of the whole work to search and destr... eeeeeh find stuff that you never imagined it could exist. Good luck LogAn'sRun for your project!!!
Update posted!
MurderMod Worklog
thats the most awesome SN ever! nice update! keep it up
Evil-98: Sorry but I don't know what "SN" means. I though I know English but now I don't :D Please help me to learn!
haha sorry about that, SN = serial number
"off topic" also dualbrain your an great artist, what kind of tablet do you use?
when i do have money, im thing about upgrading to an intuos3. something like
12" x 12", maybe 12" x 19". to be honest i dont even have the space for it
Hey Evil-98! Thanks for clearing up my lack of understanding :) And thanks that you enjoy the SN style.
Even more thanks for appreciating my little cartoons. I do them with love and started it again with MDPC after a looooong time. Finally I have reasons to do it.
About tablets: I am sorry to tell you that I use a Cintiq21UX *duck* ... it is overkill - but hey we are at XS - aren't we?
Just don't grab a too small or too big Wacom. The one that has a drawing-space of the size of a regular page is fully fine. As I heard ,you are a media-designer, so I would also consider the Cintiq12WX. Nice one I guess.
And now ... STEEEEEEEEFFEN!!!!!! Keep em coming :D
just a little off topic, I think mdpc need a forum or a subsection where the mdpc's are show in detail and how there are construct.
If there is a worlog or website for a project, I usually post the link to it. It is found on the right side of each gallery (where the name etc. of the architect is placed). To have a forum might be a danger, because it would end up in bashing in the worst case. It is so hard to decide but do not worry - if a solution comes up, then it will be executed - any well-planned ideas are welcome per PM or MDPC-Mail :)
With Steffen's system there is such a high chance that it might become an MDPC where almost everyone might agree on, that I gave him the subdomain on MDPC to do his work. He has built very beautiful systems in the past (one MDPC in the beginning (February 2008)) so he should not fail on this one. Hopefully ;)
The community will decide this time (in this thread and in a German forum), because I do not want to be called "biased". I hope that is democratic.
Steffen: Go for it :D
dualbrain,
have you considered creating your own mdpc forum so that people can talk to the builders and get ideas and help? that way you could moderate it and if someone steps out of line they can be dealt with.
also...is there any archive for former mdpc's? like pre-2008 or did the site start this year? i only recent came upon it with in the last few months and it has quickly become one of the sites i frequent. just curious.
Born on 8th February 2008 (idea on the 7th - programmed at night). Moderating a forum would be the last thing I could spend time on - sad but true. Maybe a blog where the builder can have a place to communicate to everyone who is interested. But all of these ideas have pros&cons - as always in life :)
Steffen: A sign please :D
fair enough...wow it was born on my bday :). its destiny that i will have a system on there at some point.
just waiting for another update on murdermod :)
A little update for today! :)
MurderMod Worklog
looking good
It's coming along so beautifully Steffen. :)
Your photography is spectacular.
More! More!
Yep, nice! Coming along nicely, it looks spectacular:cool:
Uahahh Diablo 3 is gonna be awesome!
Canīt wait for the release. Now, the system is filled up and bleeding right now.
Takes a long time though. When im ready i think iīll post pics in the worklog etc.
your welcome! man wish i had a cinitq, or dual cinitqs! lol that
would be really nice. yea i do a lot of multimedia graphics but
my main job is 3D graphics for building controllers. but as a freelance
artist i do all sorts of stuff, and just want to have the right arsenal
@Steffen: nice chop lol.. but you missed the exposed area of the
poster next to the mobo tray, and you should always feather your
selection just a bit
glad to hear the system is filled, what kinda pump are you going to be
using? D5, i presume. i just realized how cool that must be too be 0001
waiting for some pics! lets go!
It´s a little Laing DDC-Pumpe 12V DDC-1T :)
I hope i can post some pics today. The system won´t bleed out completely :(
Boing! Still a few changes here and there to do.
http://s8.directupload.net/images/080629/av282twb.jpg
that's sick, we want more pics ^^
looking great defo need more pics!
Better luck next time Steffan :D:D Spain FTW !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steffen, i thought the pump would go in between the GPU block & the rad
I think it would look better if the waterblock tops matched.
It's so very "neat" and tidy. A straight to the point, no nonsense loop with care to keep it cleaned up.
Nice :)
Looking real good there Steffen. One question: What did you use to sleeve the ATX connectors on the HX520? lyl and i are both having a hard time getting the pins out of our HX620 connectors, they don't want to budge.
I'm using the Sunbeam PSU modding kit.
Very beautiful pic, i really like the contrast green on black, really good!
I was just wondering, that tube that goes up from the gpu waterblock is just working as a reservoir, right? or you are using it as a Y?
looks great. love the black and green.
So, a few new pics. Routed the pci-express cable new.

very nice
/borat
OUTSTANDING! Small changes that make a huge difference! Plus the photo-quality makes a big difference to judge it. Keep it going!
build looks great but one thing that i must point out.
the tubes finish are dull! im a victim of that myself
but what ive tried and works is polishing the tubes :)
not really hard and is pretty simple to do.
with masterkleer tubing, i give it a nice blast of heat
with my heat gun and it makes it much softer and
smoother. probably dangerous but, i really need to look
up the max temp for those tubes lol
i think you need some tygon.. it would really make the
build, the dull tubes are killing it!
looks great
Oh my god, i finally bleeded the system completly. What a hell trip.
But i could had have it easier if knew the trick to do on this system ^^
Steffen, looks wonderful. It went together great!
Well itīs not done yet but thanks for the charming comment :)
A few new pics. Still work in progress.
As you can see, on every picture the color of the coolant looks different. So i have to keep an eye on the light for the snapshots :)

I love it, black and green is the best combination.
How do you keep it clean and without dust ?
I would like to be on sysprofile but my german is bad, can we see someday sysprofile in english ??
Muahaha. My room is far away from sterile. As i said at some point in this thread i got two budgies in here.
So the dust is just horrible. Before i take pictures i dust it off. But it´s not so horrible in the case itself. Only on the top.
When the frontplate arrives the inside should be a lot cleaner.
Looks amazing Steffen - so clean!
I'm working on that faceplate Mate, hang in there! :)
I'm standing in front of my house to wait for the delivery, hang in there! ;)
incredible, great pics steffen
the fact that the tubing isn't shiny doesn't bother me at all with this build. i actually think it looks pretty good with the somewhat cloudy tubing.
can't wait to see the frontplate! :D
Small update. Orderd myself a acetal top for the nickel ek cooler.
Should fit better with the acetal cpu cooler :)
Steffen: The Nickel Acetal Combo will be pure understatement. Lots of people will not recognize the "special", but that's what understatement is all about. Great idea!
http://www.abload.de/img/dscf2044x4e.jpg
looks great :)
small thing,
turn those cable ties behind the barb will cleaner ( the bit where you cut it ) face it behind the barb
Hey disrupt (I repeat: I am your fan :D),
Steffen will take them off!
Steffen: Take them off!!!! :D
With the extra pics i'm actually coming to like it much more.
Is the tubing 3/8"ID or 7/16"ID? And are the barbs 1/2"?
Do you gonna watercool northbridge?
http://murderbox.com/uploads/DSC_5413.jpg
Don't worry, this one is for your wall - the one for your case still has the protective paper coating on. :D
The faceplate is done and at the Anodizer. With a little luck, you may have this stuff by the end of next week. :)
Oh Charles that pic makes my heart flutter :ROTF:. I'm in love:p:. In the nicest possible way, hurry up and get murdermod going!!!.
Sorry 'bout that minor outburst, i'm getting a bit carried away. I can't wait!
LOL I could see us doing something stupid like a group buy [Disruptfam, you and moi] of MurderMods.
[Not really .. . .shipping .. . . will be like 300 for a Silverstone box]
Can't you guys get TJ07s locally? If so you can just order the bits that will ship in a nice cheap(ish) package and put it together yourself. That's what's taking so long - we're making sure all the mods are easy, grief-free bolt-ons. :)
If you can't get a TJ07 locally then that's a tragedy... pure and simple.
At least you don't have to pay a huge amount for PCC to ship it to you. I think I would just have the normal window but have that side against my wall so I can't see it.
EDIT : Nevermind, StaticIce has found some QLD stores for me :D
Charles - I am not sure whether to thank you or....my partner has taken one look at these builds that you have been involved in and said "why don't you make yours look like that...oh and while you are at it build me one!" :yepp:
So looks like when murdermod is online I will be buying pieces in qty of 2!! I must admit this waiting game is hard....
Steffen the build looks amazing....keep it up:up:
Hey :)
Whenever something is riveted, you can drill the rivet out and rivet it back together - as often as you like. Just use a drill that does not make the hole bigger, better start with a smaller one and "step up" until the rivet falls out. Then you have found the right drill diameter for the future :) 3mm is what usually works. At least it did on all Lian Lis and the Silverstone TJ07.
Modular or non-modular & sleeving: On a full-modular PSU (with also modular ATX 24pin), you can send in just the PSU in case of RMA. The warranty related issues are the only concern when it comes to sleeving. The technique is the same. On a modular PSU you have the advantage that you can just work on the wires with no PSU at the end.
Me personally, I have sleeved modulars and non-modulars. All the same :yepp:
@murdermod-shop: I rush to finish the shop, but we still need to test and test and test.
@Steffen: 0001 :D
this is one of the most beautiful builds ive ever seen... absolute beauty.... cant wait for updates...
nice job ;)
Steffen is it finished?
No not yet. Waiting for the last two parts.
Then iīm maybe finished :D
So so so. A few updates. Changed the complete colorscheme. The 790i board looks awesome but what use has it, if it performs like :banana::banana::banana:.
So i changed a few things. For example a new mainboard, new tube etc. A few pics for you guys :)

nice shots Steffen!
What was wrong with the 790i board?
Way to hot under load settings. The fan of the board was also to loud at 10%.
And the overclocking was pure bullpoopie. I tried to overclock my RAM and set the timings
a little bit lower and my windows completly crashed. Every time a overclocking failed i had to reinstall windows.
Thats some bug in the chipset. The new asus board with the x48 chipset works like a charm :)
