not anything special just my sons (15) first mod on limitied resources and a neighbors ban saw.

You wanna see an XTREME cable mess?
http://m0px.net/images/pc2.JPG
Thats the cabling from earlier today. I also have pics of the prommy ready to be fitted and the front of the case. There isn't any mods that are visible while it is powered down, but, when the thing is powered up, it looks nice.
The front of the case. BTW, that lil thing at the top is my Matrix Oribtal display, a neat little lcd which can display stuff and you can download plugins.

Like it? I only got the case 2 days ago so I haven't had much chance to really mod it. By teh way, this thing has 2gig of PC4200 EB and a 3.4EE :). I will post a photo of my collection of stickers that come with computer parts. Hehe, I have like 50 of em.
LOL , were is all you hardware? I can't see it :D
:bounce:
If you look, you can just about see the intel stock cooler. The gfx card is only just viewable through that picture.
Yeah i know. it was supposed to be a joke
What kind of temps do you get with the dual evaporators?
Well, its not really a case, but.......

Here is my HEC 6A19 I've modded this summer.
There are a few things I need to do (add AkasaPaxMate on the HDD and Drive cages, sleeve the PSU cables etc), but I thought I'd post some pictures anyway! :toast:
Not an amazing pic, but better then nothing.
The design on the side looks rough because I'd just finished doing it with the jigsaw, barly any cleanup work had been done.
Two different case projects:
1. Cut a case down to make an external watercooling setup
Watercooler pic 1
Watercooler Pic 2
Watercooler Pic 3
2. Air conditioned a case
Ac unit and Case
How it worked
i jester - that is just beautiful work.
Very well thought out and very well documented.
Thanks!

This the culmination of my efforts to modify my existing Koolance case after the original pumps ceised to function. The system now contains 2 separate loops, one for CPU (1/2" ID tubing, Laing D4 pump, 2x120 radiator) and one for GPU + Northbridge (3/8" ID tubing, Hydor L30 pump, 1x120 radiator). Everything concerning water cooling has been replaced from original Koolance components, just the case itself was kept as a tribute to the early days. Two of the most recent additions are the 4x20 parallel LCD and, most notably, a flow switch/meter connected to the digital panel meter that displays flow rate as a percentage of full flow (calibrated as 100%). The flow switch triggers an alarm (12V piezo buzzer) once flow drops below 40%.

I agree.. I bet it took ages to make ?

is that a motherboard i see built into the router??
Apprently cause I see some harddrives and IDE cables.
Thanks guys.
The gauge displays case temperature. It is a solid state temp sensor.Quote:

The wall are made of lexan and bolted together with some aluminum L-bar. I got both at mcmaster.com. The mesh is from an arts and crafts store and the plates are from the metal cover of project boxes.Quote:

Ya, it's got all the components of your average computer minus optical drives.Quote:

If your interested in reading more. I got a better explanation of everything on my website. link
Hmmm...I have an extra router gathering dust since I switched to wireless. If I ever find the time maybe I'll try something similar. I see from the website it's more than just another pretty face. Nice job!
Well done scifikg, a very interesting and unique project. Looks good too :)
Some newer pictures of my case. The red front pannel is what the rest of the case is going to look like when I'm done :D
In the pictures it looks kind of weird with the blue and red but in real life it looks quite nice. Especcialy with sound activation on...
Very nice job on that window!
like it,well done :D how long did u do that ?
Hmmmm, the total hours spent on the window is probably like 6 or so. Not all at once though. I spent about 30 minutes getting the design I wanted drawn onto the side pannel and then I taped it all up and redrew it onto the tape using permanent marker (30 minutes there) Then I got my dad to help me out and teach me how to use a jigsaw at the same time because I'd never used one before. I've done windows with the dremel before, but this would have taken a year if I didn't use the jigsaw. So about 4.5 hours cutting out the rough outline, and then about 2 hours dremeling, filing and sanding down the edges. The rest of the time was inbetween steps (washing and stuff) and sanding down the paint and then spraypainting black. So it took me a fairly long time, but it was spaced out alot and I wanted it to look just right, so I put in whatever time that took :) .
I've attached the initial design, and 2 other ideas i had but didn't go with..
Thanks guys, Glad you like it, I know I do :)
Not exactly my kind of taste but I´ll gotta give you the effort. Let alone the finish is indeed stunning :toast: -
What case is that?
Thanks, Antec sx1040b.
I see that LED fans are being used alot here..
I want to get 2 of those but there are so many brands... Cooler-Master's TLF is good?
But I think afterall I should get the cheapest I can find, doesn't it?
Here is my case. I will post new pics when I have fixed the cable mess and the watercooling are working...
http://www.home.no/kaffebord/pc1.JPG
From the front: (extrem crappy pic)
http://www.home.no/kaffebord/pc2.JPG
I decided to redesign a case so it fit my odd desk top And Was just different from other cases. So i bought an Enermax CS-181-B. Just cuz it was large and very plain
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/1.jpg I stripped it down and set it on my bar and was just picturing where this road was going to lead.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../cyphering.jpg
I went to get another cup of coffee to help me think. When I turned my back on it, I heard it make some smart ass remark to me. Yeah it was flipping me crap. So I took it to my lab and I cut it, I mean I cut it good!!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/5.jpg
that shut it up!! I was disappointed when I saw that the mobo tray was one pice the whole lenth of the case!! But the saw fixed that. and my drill made it fully removable. When I cut out the top usb and firwire ports I thought I would put in a window but instead I built a new top and began putting the case back together!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/27.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/20.jpg
a new shape case was born
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/29.jpg
There needed to be more holes in this creation. So it was 120's for the top, bottom and side window
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/37.jpg
I wanted the rad to be mounted to the case but externally
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/69.jpg
but external water res out of PVC pipe and caps. cost less than $5
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/77.jpg
Time to reveal the SECRET of WeldZilla 2 STEALTH no messy, ugly wires hanging every where!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/87.jpg
then went nuts and repainted it.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dZilla/103.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dZilla/100.jpg
then fired it up
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...dZilla/110.jpg
Then I painted the desk to match the case set it all up
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...lla/desk_1.jpg
And we lived happily ever after!!!!
WeldZilla aka. WZ
WeldZilla - You did one hell of a remarkable job, my friend. That has to be one of the most original cases I have seen in a long time.

Well again thanks you know there was about 32 hours of actual work in the project . But, there was about 45 to 50 hours just spent thinking about the project, planning the little details. you see when I turned the front of the case sideways I also moved it forward to 2 inches to insure plenty of room for roms. That was easy at the top of the case since I just built a whole new one, But, at the bottom of the case I decided to fill in the 2in. x 8 1/2 in. void with metal i had from the pieces I already had cut out. (The window). Then I had to have some pieces to build the lip back up where the cover would go back on. Remember that right side cover is now the rear of the case. Well I had done a job customizing some metal legged bar stoolls for a guy and as luck would have it. the square pieces from it were the exact same size as the bent lip of the case. Here is a pic. You will see the pieces I used and also where I had to fill the back corner in. When I was done I used a flap disc in a 4 1/2 grinder where it was easy to get at.In the hard to reach areas I used a small flap disc on a die grinder ( air powered dremel) I came out great!! didn't have to use bondo to get it perfectly smooth. Her are a couple pics.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/16.jpg
Here it is all back together. Beofre it was fully danded out.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/47.jpg
Another thing that condumed time was the mount for the water tank. Easy, just time consuming. I had some pipe but it was all too big so I cut out an inch section of it, squeezed it back to gether in the vice. then I welded it. smoothed the weld out and used the vice and a small ball pin hammer to make the rings perfectly round again.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/71.jpg
There were many small things to do to add up to the finished product. I llike little details. the legs took time to make. again I had some old oil stove plumbing around that was just the right size. So I cut legs out of it and tapped them with 1/2 in stndard course threads. I cut the heads off some 1/2 in bolts and wellded them onto my leg brackets .Then I was able to just screw the legs on. it also made them adjustable. As I said the work was easy. the thinking was sometimes pretty intense.
I like putting my insignia in my cases

Thanks...pretty much for under $50 Plexi can be precut and then use of Plexiglass glue. The base is 21" all around @ the bottom and the Case stands 21" tall...I was tallied with a Bud who was into painting and modding Cases as well..

I think you was a bit rude, 'cos tastes aren't the same for each people, I don't like it either but perhaps you don't like metal bands and I really hate RAP songs, and you are not seeing me advertising this everywhere, as I said tastes is for each people, if you don't like it don't see it, hell you can even unsubscribe from this thread :stick:Quote:

Really nothing xtreme with this case, it's just for 24/7 use quiet "workhorse". Vertical panels are sealed so the air flows from the bottom to the top of the case, through rad.
just a Sunbeam acrylic case with some blueled fans and some green UV cable sleeving ......next project is a aluminium case made from a suitcase...with a tft monitor in the top............
jeeeez, nice rigs guys. I wish I had half that type of creativity!
