Looking good, question on the sunbeam. Where did you get the replacement knobs? what size? I want to leave the stock front, but replace the knobs with black ones. (it's too bright for me) It will look nice with a ring of light behind the knobs.

spray paint knobs?
as septim said, paint is one option
but i did get the knobs from radio shack
edit:
not much of an update for today, didnt have much time yesterday and i was tired
still doing some design work in my head. still thinking of how to route the loops and
waiting for eddy to fix up that top
wow nice idea on mounting the fan controller on the back,i'll try later when my TJ-07 arrived
thanks, its kind of a mock up for the controller right now it may or may not
stay. well see  havent done much in the past weekend, too much
going on with my life and work and not enough money  really im waiting
for eddy to fix up the striker II so i can continue and trying to decide were
and how to mount my rads.
heres some pics anyways

But your missing something..... ;)

whoa did the price go up? i remember it being 14.99 lol
small update
ditched the small L idea and just inset the original covers for the front panel
better explained in the pics. the center cover maybe too high up and might
be covering the HD so that might be changed (cut) still deciding where to put
that second rad. the MCR240 sits nicely on the bottom, but im still iffy about
the MCR360 on top. well see i still got time since in waiting on EK.
enjoy

hmmmm interesting idea on mounting that acrylic @ the front..
I was thinking of doing the same thing! (great mind think alike?) but cutting bezels and using them as a L now i'm not sure
I've been to busy lately to come up with a solution on the mounting...
Maybe i should give it go now hmm...
Looking good mate look 4ward to more updates
indeed great minds do think alike. i would suggest you not to cut it because
they tend to be flimsy, i was glad i thought about it before cutting them i still
might change the way its mounted because i dont like the bezel in the center
so that might be cut. ill probably work it out tonight or tomorrow busy week
and i really need a scroll saw.
no update today, i need a few of those off center fittings. emailed eddy and
he says that the tops are either going into production today or at least by this considering that its eddy its probably in production but hes a busy man
really im waiting it out for the top, because i got no idea how im going to
place everything  ill do some drawing mock ups but probably wont help
much lol.
thanks for the interest :toast:
week
great looking build. i love reading build logs when they are for something like this.
Amazing work!
thanks guys, well didnt do much yesterday. i really hope the ek top solves the
vid card issue. then the only other issue that ill have is with the rads. i think
im going to get some acryan black brushed metal sheet for the front panel. i
painted it black yesterday and i dont like the results. well see i still got time.
i might go with the tint idea but i dont like the fact that the finishes are no longer
similar
well thanks for the encouraging words i will keep up the progress
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...recker2/90.jpg
That looks much better than just the acrylic. :p:
Are you gonna have a design cut in that, for a frontal window of the HDD still?
Cause I'm actually really diggin the blankness of it. Gives it a stealthy look.
Looks very sexy:D
small update:
finished wiring up the LEDS for the mobo. still waiting on
eddy for the replacement top. thinking about getting parts
powder coated, but not sure where too. bare with me, alot
of pics and most are redundant :)

Wow I was never a fan of the clear blocks but you are now making me a fan of them. Love what you did here with the block LED's. Good job!
all I can say is OMG :eek2: that is very sexy. Wish I had that talent
Led's looking hot man;)
Hey evil
Just wondering if you had heard anything back from Eddy yet as I haven't?
Loving you build btw, Kinda wish I had gone clear blocks now.
Well done evil...well done! You make those clear blocks look amazing!
could you post some pics of the LED connections? I'm interested to see your wiring and the solution you came up with for connecting them to the PSU. . .
damn hotness! led is nice on those blocks!
sure, its not complete, meaning im going to change it in the future but i can
show you guys. i can easily explain it, its not to complicated. its really just
connected to the 12v line on the PSU with 100 ohm resistors inline on each
3 array of LEDS.
like this
-12dcv - LED +- LED +- LED + 100ohm +12dcv X 3
looks very nice evil! just need that ek acrylic top for the supreme and your set :)
Thanks evil, but I was more after seeing the actual connection, and wiring. To be more specific are you just going to connect it to a 4 pin molex and hide it somewhere, or have you come up some other solution?
Since you're connecting so many different arrays together (right?), I was curious to see that junction point. And where are you placing the switches?? :D
This has gotta be one of my favourite builds ever. I still remember seeing the first teaser shots in the WC gallery and thinking "OMG That is H-O-T!!".
I love the acrylic and LED effect too. Great work man:up:
great build, great LED wiring. maybe add another color series? hehehe...
looks great evil... I got 3mm leds for my blocks, but it looks like your using 5's???
i was thinking about it but i dont have the money for it right now :( xtremely broke
yes there are multiple arrays. theres 3 series total which then meet at a common connection (aka parallel) meaning they all come to one (+) and one (-) then thats going to be connected to a 2 pin connecthing which is inlined with my power switches which draws power from a 4 pin molex like normal. ill get pics as soon as i get to it
Thanks! ill get you those dimensions tonight mate
thanks!
i was going to lol but then i thought about it and i decided not too. maybe in the future
i was going to go with 3mm but i already had the 5mm so why not
small update guys, did some modding on the power switch panel
i attached the original power switch button to a small momentary
switch for the stealthed drive, and its obviously painted black
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...ecker2/106.jpg
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...ecker2/107.jpg
nice work on those rockers! Guess you'll be dimming those led's a little ;)
Good News! Eddy shipped out my block top replacement!
that means i can finally finish this project! yay

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...1&d=1210485693
hey can someone ban him from xs he is making everyone elses builds look bad :p
man what can i say!! so amazing so so so amazing
OCD?
@s0lid: Boyu is correct, those are ACE fans from PPCS
@yarden: Thanks :up:
no word on the ETA of the top but it took a few weeks to send
over my 775 mount plate for the supreme so i expect the same
no real update, spending most of my time on "Day and Night"
until the block top arrives. but i haven't stopped thinking about
the build for a second
Main Concerns:
1. Fitting the MCR-320 on top w/ fan inside
2. Pump/Res location
3. Tubing
everything else should be ok but those are my main concerns
once that block top comes in
lookin good, evil
Lookin good Evil, as always.. Damn pm.. Evil, can you drop me an email when you get a chance?
bigdaddy501 at h0tmail d0t com?
Thanks. Got another q about your Sunbeam RE
Evil where you live
It only take 2working days from EK to UK.
So Even though I just come in from a 9hour night shift I going to stay up all day waiting for the postman. God damn I just hope it yurns up :d
too lazy to read through the thread, so I don't know if you mentioned it but...you're looking at a top mount MCR220, and bottom part is 320+220 right?
any updates?
sort of, well i received my SB top a few days ago
and im starting to work on the homewrecker again
been keeping my self busy with day and night. but
ill be starting up again to night, after i clear some
space for the sucker. as of now, im going to drop
everything back into the system to make sure the
system functions properly then to the detailed mods
still worried about pump placement etc, ive decided
im going to do my loops like this;
first off, having issues with mounting the MCR320
up top, i will be mounting a MCR240 on top, with
a second MCR240 below in a series, these rads
will cool both GPUs
i havent decided weather or not to put the mobo
blocks in the same loop as the GPUs or the CPU
and im wondering if the two MCR240s will be have
similar or better results compared to the 360GTX
if anyone has a 240GTX in good condition, im willing
to trade off a MCR320 for it, so if anyone knows
someone please let them know, have there people
call my people and well talk
stay tuned for additional updates
thanks for the interest guys
What kind of issues u are talking about i have TJ07 as well and have BlackIce 360 mounted on top without any problems. There is not much space between rad plus fans and mobo but there is 3-4mm space.
UPDATE!!
ek top is on and ready! wish i had tube to spare i need to
flush the system, but i have any to spare anyways just some
progress, im impressed with eddy, he fix the SB right up!

Congrats for solving the sb problem;)
nice evil more updates!
i like the new cam :)
p.s evil please get the ek acrylic top ....
outstanding work hopefully we will have some updates soon:)
That mobo is sexy:slobber: Definetly subscribed.
update!
alot of work needs to be done. the radgrill was horrible.. hole
placement was pretty bad, never though this would be an issue
but it turns out it was made more problems then solved. i think
the best thing to do is to commission a machinist to make me
one because i am not happy with the ACRYAN radgrill.. i still
to do some more cutting to the case to fully fit the rad with out
the fans touching the mobo/etc. cutting the case was not much
fun either, alot of hard manual labor, but it did get enough of it
cut where i could atleast install the rad for inspection.
started tubing the mobo, to find the new SB giving me issues
again, with 3/4" OD tubing there is NO, i repeat NO room to install
the second tube, i switched fittings in the end so the SB now uses
a slightly smaller barb so i could at least tiptie it down. its ok now
but i was surprised.
so loop orders go like this:
loop1: 24v D5 - 360GTX - EK Supreme - SB - NB - 150RES Rev1
loop2: DDC 3.2 w/ XSPC top - mosfet - mosfet - DD Ione - DD Ione - 150RES Rev2

Amazing! nice build!
regards
Look very nice keep going
w00t!! Looking super sexy evil!!!! :D
MORE UPDATES!!!!!!!! :p:
very very nice. whats the meanwell for?
i might have not picked this up, but evil, are those compression barbs you using 1/2" ID 3/4" OD, i was assuming they are because you are using DD fat boys with them so they must link to 1/2"..
Thanks
VERY nice and clean build BTW, everything looks like its going perfect, although i would of loved it if you went full compression fitting system :)
compression fitting would not fit on his SB though...
Where did you get your black clamps for you EK res's? I broke my acrylic one's and need something a little more reliable.
Thank you! Petra was out of stock so I did end up finding them on the EK site.
im going to test the D5v at 24v  from swiftech efficiency curves
its .75 GPM higher at the same head pressure. now thats not compared
to an aftermarket top, which ill have to look into, but generally its
higher flow and more head pressure and thats both a plus
those are 1/2" ID 3/4" OD, bitspower. now septim is correct, almost
nothing will fit on the SB, i had to switch from fat boys, to DD hi flow
stubs, which have a much smaller OD and ID, it all works out in the
end so its ok. i would love to have full compression fittings care to
sponsor?
i got mine from PPCS, which i am slowly moving away from, i sent an
RMA request months ago with ZERO reply, i had called with little luck
and request for a exchange with the same response..
@everyone else:
thanks for the replies, as an update ive started to design a new rad
grill for the case, i finished the bases but turns out swiftech's site
gives horribly wrong dimensions... very wrong dimensions. i need to
triple check again when i get home but after measuring the rad and
fan i need to redesign the grill. but when its done, i should be able to
drop in the MCR320 with 25mm fans with little to no issue
cheers
Sorry for an off topic question, but would those Mosfet and Chipset Water blocks fit an Asus Rampage Formula X48?
I was looking to do something similar to this (though not quite as nice) with water cooling the whole board, but I can't find any blocks that say they are "Rampage Compatible".
Thanks
yes they are rampage compatible
no heres what you would need to completely WC a rampage
NB - http://www.petrastechshop.com/eksnowaa.html
SB - http://www.petrastechshop.com/ekaschwaa1.html
MOSFET - http://www.petrastechshop.com/ekasmowaa4.html
heres a compatibility list, this should have all the info you need
http://site.petrastechshop.com/other...patibility.pdf
Love the look of your setup. Doing an awesome job!
small update:
got most of the basic design of my rad grill done, turns
out swiftech's dimensions are really wrong, one thing
i did forget to measure is the length and width of the rad
so if thats wrong too, then its back to the drawing board.
literally.. well needed to test the meanwell, so i decided
to do some modding to that as well. simple, effective. now
all that is left is a power switch and a relay. then it should
be ready to go. right now, whats really holding me back is
the top mounted rad. so the sooner i can get this radgrill
made, the better.
radgrill pics in a few
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...ecker2/132.jpg
Oh cool. Would you mind if I Pm'd you and inquired more about your setup and what results you are getting?
Wow, Petrashop is really running low on those EK blocks. Most of their chipset/mosfet/cpu/gpu blocks by EK are out of stock. How long before you think they get more? :)
Oh evil you're extreme, putting the d5 down to 24v... we'll see how it works;)
The only think that its a little worst than hole system is the upper radgrill, i think it will look better if you can do some mesh like the original silverstone one, but for 3x120, it'll look so elegant;) because now the radgrill its cutting the line of the tj07... (sorry for my english..)
Well evil very good worklog and pics!
PD: did you recived the d60?
Bst regards!
wow those led's on the waterblocks look sssiiiccckkk!!!! im going to do that for sures!!!!!
more like up to 24v :ROTF: but yes, alittle extreme  but thats what we
do around here right
anyways, still working on the design, trying not to coincide with the TJ07s
native design too much and dont want to kill flow. so i may end up going
with the original rad grill design or something completely drastic well just
have to see
sure, i wish i had like 2 hours to spare, i havent had enough time to get all
the dimensions down but enough to work with.
@everyone else:
thanks guys, the project is moving, and theres nothing stopping me but
time :shakes: and sleep! but who needs that right...
cheers
heres a version of my grill with inspiration from charles_h and his murderbox
big +ups to charles  now my version is obviously a bit fatter for air flow
which makes it loose its elegance.. :shakes: this is one of the many different
designs ive done, just havent posted. this one i just rendered really quickly
just to show you guys. dont worry about the front, its just a mock up, just
wanted to see how it would look.
still need to check the dimensions of the rad grill again, to makes sure that
it fits, as of now everything fits perfectly, with my rad grill it lifts the rad
5mm giving me enough space to clear the mobo and etc. still need to cut
the mobo tray, and might need to change a few things but would make
things much more enjoyable.
cheers
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...ecker2/133.jpg
edit
heres another version, i let it render longer so its cleaner
http://evil98.insanity-asylum.com/co...ecker2/134.jpg
cheers
I think that the first its a little bit better than the second, but iI qould prefer to do more holes, and smaller cuts, it will rocks;)
And the 5 1/4 bays do you think to make some think too?
Best regards and congrats for your mod!
I like the traditional style here on this case - maybe you could mock up with the grill slats running downwards parrelel to the case sides - would be different - would'nt know if it would work mind ?
i like the second one :)
yea i think the second one is a more conservative choose
but that doesnt make it a bad one!
also
I GOT MY D60!!! turns out amazon sucks at updating progress
on orders, but there estimates were right on the money!! woot
it came a day early too!!
im snapping away as we speak!
yay for D60
i like the second grill the most too:D
the first one has a nice concept behind it but it does need shorter cuts indeed
heres a few pics i took, dont be too hard on me! but my first
impression of the camera was that i was very small and light
compared to the d80 which i have used, ive also used a d70s
which was similar. what i do like the most is the little noise in
night shoots. i take all my shots in raw, given i have a 16gb
SD and pics came out on the warm side so i do use some post
work to cool it down. so far i like it alot  the i havent had
much time to play with it yesterday and probably wont have
alot of time to play with it untill sunday, but so far its 2 :up:

i didn't realize i missed the update.
i'm really enjoying this thread. keep up the good work evil!
looking good mate
lol @ "dont be too hard on me"... I wish I could take shots as good as yours
is that all one loop with a single DDC? im down to <1 GPM with cpu, nb & mosfets alone
