Looks really good Eric, Im quite impressed....!
Can you try with more voltage...? 1.44v under load isnt exactly very high... 1.6v under load will be interesting... Ofcause the coretemp will be alot higher, but its the evap temp Im currious about....

If i can get lucky enough to get an opportunity to buy one of these i will be.
I don't think OCZ will have a problem with unloading these.:)
Give OCZ props for atleast getting these out. Sounds like they thought it would be easier then it was. They could have just cut losses and not gone threw, but they are making some, which is more then none. I'm thinking they aren't making any money or even losing some here.
I love it, all the people that called it "Vapor Ware" will have to eat their words. Three cheers for OCZ not rushing it to market until it was ready.
Is this were it is going to come up for purchase, or are we going to have to go through NewEgg or something like that ?

Can't really do that, or you shouldn't. The processor will get hot almost instantly, while the evap head takes a minute to get to operating temperature of -30c or whatever. The processor's thermal shutdown should kick in before that happens.
I guess LD's method works, but I wouldn't use it on something of my own, or advise anyone to use it on a heavily overclocked quad.
I know a lot of us have been a pain in the ass but what about the idea of giving us first shot? I'm sure the majority of us will consume most of your inventory if given the opportunity. :)
This product is just amazing for its price, UK is having a lack of Extreme cooling solutions of this level as one dedicated company shut down was announced last year, if this product could reach this part of the world would be widely used for overclocker's as a first option. I hope it could expand its business over here.
Metroid.
No...didn't miss your post, but I have other duties besides testing everything people ask. I realize it has been 5 hours since you posted, but there are 75000 members of XS and 26000+ at the OCZ forums. Only 1 of me :D
This is the news thread too...testing questions...are best asked in the results thread in the Phase section :)
Ryders Quad is an early ES 6850, its pushing more than 120W already
Don't worry ;)
I don't see any noise level mentioned? Is it really 68db?

No dB meter here.
Is it "loud" in general? I realize it's all based on perception, but could you just give a general description of the amount of noise/how annoying said noise is when the unit is running?
Remember guys this is a budget single stage unit, I have said this many times.
It is NOT a cascade...
That being said Eric is seeing good temps, he is learning phase for the first time and he is doing his best to show you everything you are asking for.
I think this unit is awesome value, it is NOT silent but its not overly loud either. I am sure some will moan and others will be benching at -50C and not caring about the noise...we can't please everyone ;)
you have to remember this thing is a refrigerator, it will make noise.
Is there any estimated MTTF on these?
Only a 1 year warranty scares me off a bit.
Hey Tony, just 2 questions that I still haven't seen answered...
1. Will these be available for shipping to Canada? I know you don't ship overseas because they're on the 220v system, but we're electrically compatible up here.
2. I see it's compatible with all current CPUs - will there be brackets available for newer socket types coming out soon, or will it at least be easily user-changable?
Thanks in advance.
Any guess on when these will be readily available? I read that they will be released 10 at a time as the pass QC. I really do not prefer to constantly have to hit refresh @ ocz.com.

so after i spent my money on caps u guys finally release cryoZ.. great!
Will the unit ever be available in other colors, or retail stores? I'd love to get one.... that wasn't mangled by the border.
Seems more like a game that people have to refresh your website to get a unit. i wouldn't mind one but you're making this a next to impossible feat for us.
Will be awsome to buy one in Canada :D
Looking forward to a good review. I may yet get one of these.
Yeah, that is really annoying. I remember this kinda crap happening w/ the q6600s in terms of just getting a page to load since usage was so high. I hope XS alone doesn't crash OCZ's site!
Has anyone heard if Fugger has gotten his BE in yet? I'm really hoping that it can works wonders on my quad.
I'm also curious what cases you guys are going to use? Just drill a hole in the bottom rear of the case or are you guys getting those lian li Li PC60 cases the vapochill's used back in the day? OCZ should make a limited addition case for this cooler as well. Now that would be nice!
i see it on there site with part number and all but cant seem to order one?
i figured i put it right next to my tech station have the spot and 8500 all ready and willing.
now to just get ocz to take my money
Hmm....still no update with results?
From Fugger or from me??
Post 61 for all the particulars (no good temp monitoring tool) but then updated in post 78 with something that displays negative temps: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=183881
Link to that thread is in post 97 of this thread when I updated it.
I was talking about Fugger.
oh great, ryder then i am waiting to get some great news from you, I am 100% interested and am sure gonna be one of the owners of that great cooler with a little help of yours.
How the hell is that a cheap shot. Search my posts before you dare call me out for bashing OCZ. Im one of the few that NEVER bashed them on releasing this thing... http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/foru...lies/loser.gif
