Has anyone tried lapping one of these Direct heatpipe touch things yet. Im sure it could be made flatter as the retail surface looks pretty crap. Kinda like the Ultra-120 and Tuniq ones do. After lapping they are brilliant though.

According to Xigmatek, there probably aren't any differences since NewEgg decided to go ahead and begin shipping this first version of the product. Benchmark Reviews tested this version of the product, and will receive the second retail version of the Achilles when it is made available in a few more weeks. All in all, it's not a bad product; especially for AMD processors.Quote:
