i'm having a lot of problems getting the board to work the way I want it of here... I realy need to learn how the thing works.

Did you suffer coldboot problems after enabling the "fix coldboot" option?

BlackOps is a bit "different" mobo from the others and it NEEDS some "bios tricks" to work fine......I'll upload a guide for it any time soon with bios setting photos so people who use it, "understand it"..... ;) :)

Unlike some others, hipro5 knows his stuff. :D That's simply put what makes THE difference.
There is a difference between beating your hardware all the way to the top without really knowing what you are doing and knowing every technical detail and using that knowledge to get the best out of the piece of hardware.

I think I repeat myself now, but EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE work hipro5.

I've put a push on button instead of a switch in front and via an IC (which I also put into the box, I change it to showing on the front LED Displays:
a. output voltage
b. Inside temp of the Maxi (case)
c. current drawing of the rams
d. temp of one ram module
e. temp of the other ram module

Though this would have been the V.2 Maxi, it will never come out... :(

Most likely all the capacitors are connected in parallel on PCB level anyway, so it doesn't really matter which solder pads you choose. That's probably why it doesn't need any real logic here. ;)

Though ONLY the DDR Maximizer can't handle all this load, I will use it as "driver" to drive 3-4 BIG output Mos-Fets for EACH VGA's Core.... ;)

I can use this "external VGPU" on EVERY VGA out there..... :p:

Now that I have found the trick to "trick" the Voltera VGPU chip, I can do whatever I want with the GPU..... ;)
Voltera ALWAYS "thinks/shows" that it has 1.34VGPU and couple of milliamperes drawing...... ;)

WILL I see the POWER of these VGAs or not?.....

......TO BE CONTINUED IN A FEW DAYS......

Thanks for the pics Hipro :) Looks astounding, and I bet more people will be thinking off getting a maximizer now :cool:

Though it's going to be hard for anyone to repeat your feature without all the needed info ( trade secret I bet :up: )

There is another thread on xs from someone who is going to do a add in bord with vr's to make it easier to mod stuff and probably allowing voltage modifications through the os, an idea I also had a long time ago but never got around to. Looking at how the maximizer is built though, I don't give myself or the other guy a good chanche at being able to pull it off.

I think if you sold the modded maximizer that way, allot off people will be required to buy one since they can't compete with you otherwise :banana:

Yes there will be used 4 x Maximizers......Each one for each core OR only one for driver.....I will test it firstly and I will deside then..... :)

I think that I have used older version of the Catalyst in the HD with the Win XP for the single runs (maybe some were done with older version of catalyst and some with the 8.3 - I don't realy remember - I'll have to take a look at the ORB compare links to find out) :)

I used 820uF/2V BUT these are needed to mod the vgas to bench like they are.....Now that I will externaly feed them, I will not use any.... :)

well this was really a test...cause i'm waithing for the BLACKOPS,and I think it will be crashed down soon wen the dual 9800gx2 bench will be showed (what do you think george?) ....

VGA cooled by chilled liquid ( -12 °C ),
one vga was really good can bench 1030 on both core, but the other one one core stopped @ 980 the other one 1010 so we benched 980 for all the cores...

Giorgioprimo.....IF NVIDIA sucks (as I think) in VISTA with QUAD SLI and the score with 2 x 9800GX2 in SLI is ~15% better than one 9800GX2, then ATI will SURE be ahead of it cuz of the higher efficiency in QUAD CF and VISTA.... ;)

Now, IF NVIDIA manages to go up to 20%, then it's gonna be a "war".... :D

Hipro5 if the 9800gx2 wold be so good as the 3870x2 "in quad gpu solutions" then the maximo score of 3dmark hold be for nvidia... but @ the moment it sems to be a ATI supremacy... @ +- 32K 3dmark 2006...Nvidia is still a bit "lazy" crating good drivers for quad gpu; maybe a single 9800gx is still not maximum "driver tweaked" and only when that is achieved Nvidia will strart "fighting" for quad gpu solution's (i thnink).... but @ hardware level IMO the 9800gx2 is more powerfulll (and i dont like so mutch Nvidia as i like ATI)... just my 2 cent m'8s

It is not "perfectly fine", the default VID for qx9650 is 1.13V ... T_M's explanation looks fine for me though, it's a bug.

It looks that you both (you and T_M) are correct - it is definitely a bug on Foxconn BlackOps (I have V core instead of 1.38V, as shows Foxconn Aegis - shown as 0.936V and so on on both CPU-Z and Lavalys Everest CPUID), both show incorrect V core or sometimes instead of V core CPU-Z shows Core VID data, which is definitely default at 1.25V on BlackOps instead of 1.13V following the specification of qx9650.

I have a question - if there is a bug of Foxconn BlackOps and CPU-Z results are somehow not reliable, can we accept posted here over-clocking results for BlackOps, validated by CPU-Z, as reliable? We can only assume reliablility of such results, right?

Yes, I do. With P02 BIOS it was maxed at 9.5, I thought may be they have limited it for the launch and official release users and flashed G22 BIOS. It is funny, but now the limit is min x6 and max x0 , but it changes nothing. I will try other BIOSes too, G21, G20 and then G17 - had no time to looks through everything carefully on this weekend though.
I had to replace a bad brand new Seagate ST31000340AS, which I have purchased for a storage, it showed critical temps at 62-63C ... probably failure of the temp sensor such as the drive itself was pretty cool.
