Personal Request to Phenom / D.F.I 790FX-M2R Owners
Please if there are any owners of this combination could you please post pictures of you options in Bios for anything Related to CPU/NB/PWM/HT/Ram Setttings?.............I only ask to see for myself what options are different for you guys pertaing to those settings compared to those of us that are runnin Dual Core vs Quad Core Processors.
Thank you very much.........................Campbell;)
Bump:>>>>> Anyone care to help with my request please?
I can´t help you out Campbell, but I tried to get the DFI board again to test from a few countries away and they were out of stock (all stock taken/reserved). I´d love DFI to sell them here, I´d get hold of it as soon as I could though the price is the same as Id be paying for ASUS Striker Extreme II here. Uber. ;)
Brother,
I got my Phenom 9600 BE on it's way now....should be here on Monday (and I got the DFI board of course).....then I'll just have to find the time to put everything together.
Thanks guys I appreciate it!;)
Will be posting up some more stuff about 12/21/07 Beta Bios Issues and things that you should be aware of! Speaking of Bios WTF ...D.F.I wheres the Bios support on this Board?
Well, I have the 12/21 BIOS on the wife's rig that I just rebuilt. That one has a x2 5000+ BE in it. It seems like it's pretty good so far. Haven't had a chance to tweak it as much as I would like to as yet though.
D.F.I 790FX-M2R 12/21/07 Beta Bios Findings
The Good:...Ok, heres my thoughts on this Bios from testing it out, what I come to find is that the 12/21/07 Bios Clears up a lot of little annoyances such as USB Keyboard Lock ups in Bios, Less C1 Error then all previous Official and Beta Releases also allows me to achieve 40mhz higher HT on Overclock and excellent Ram Bandwidth and very low latencies with less Vcore & Vdimm used compared to 11/22/07 Official Bios also it appears the HT 600MHZ setting is working better as well. Smart Guardian is reading Temps more accurately too and Bios displays correct CPU Temp in Bios now which coensides with Core Temp and Everest/ on the Downside Smart Guardian is still way off when put under load like 20c off from Core Temp / Everest:eek:
The Bad: there is some form of issue when in Bios and you load Optimized Defaults so you can start with a clean slate and configure you're settings once again. By Loading Optimized Defaults and then Configuring you're Overclock Settings Immediately after loading the optimized defaults then Save / Exit I got what appeared to be C'mos corruption when it rebooted something I had never seen before ever on any board which was a Bunch of small Random moving Colored Grid squares (thats not cool) and shortly after that I started getting allot of C1 Errors and Random IRQ Address Allocation on my Raid Controller and what that means is that at different reboots the Raid Controller FW Bios would show different (Bus Device #) as well as Different (IRQ Addressing Assignment Adressing #)
I also notice that with this Bios using anything after 2.16Vdimm it does not want to play nice to any degree more VCore and other Voltages applied it did not matter!
Their is also what appears to be a issue the Weak Ram Drive Strength setting as that does not seem to be working correctly compared to 11/22/07 Official:yepp:
Edit: Also I forgot to mention there is a slight Refresh Issue when Going into Bios with the New PCI-E 2.0 GFX Cards I have confirmed this being Fact with 2 X POWERCOLOR HD 3850's Running in CrossFire as well as it being duplicated with the Single HIS HD 3870 GFX Card. This issue is not present with my XT1950 XTX
Apparently there are still issues with AMD Overdrive and this Board as well even on Current 12/21/07 Beta I still get Lock Ups just by opening the Program this is with Optimized Defaults set in Bios too! I don't quite know where to point the Finger at that one whether its a Bios Issue or on a Software Level or Both.
So if any of you gents could confirm any of these findings that I have just mentioned Especially the Load Optimized Defaults in Bios and Immediately after that re configure you're overclock Save / Exit and see if its a issue beyond my experience we could really help this along with some hard info to submit to D.F.I so we can get a really Stellar Official Bios Release in a Timely fashion.
Thank You.......................Campbell;)
Just got my BE and I it´s SLOWLY going forward, My CPU will not boot @ 13*200 with defau7lt voltage and I can´t sett vcore other then "Auto" but adding extra v-core in % works so I´m at 1,22*1,06xx for 1,32v @ 2600mhz. Lots of small anoying things with my BE, It locks like it´s not 100% suported yet. i have to dile in my settings in baby steps, sett ram+muliper+v-core+v-dimm all att once will not boot. Also I can´t overklock my NB speed at all yet, atlest not together with CPU+RMA. If I set a higer value then "Stock" (05) It reverts back to 05 upon boot. 05 = 1800mhz 09 (2600mhz) was stable with my 9500. Cpu-z will not load either with my BE, nor will HW monitor...
Campbell: I could sett what ever settings i like with my 6400+, after Cmos clean. BUT i got the same Colored Grid squares, once when i pushed my ram too hard. Will test with my 9600 BE as soon as i can!
@BadNizzle........so did you use a Phenom 9500 in this board? If so how well did it work in it?
OK.....Flashed back to 12/21/07 Beta to see if situation is duplicated this time around.\
Please anyone that has this Bios Installed see if you can duplicate what I have found in the above Post 3-4 back;)
Was the same for me, before I did a "real" Clear of Cmos, Know with CnQ disabled I can boot with higher NB speed, Do it in small stepps, I.e Sett multiper, save -> boot -> reboot sett NB speed -> save -> reboot and so on, see if it helps. Also try to disavle CnQ FIRST before any other setting!
Edit: Brother, Also preformance is Crap even with erata disabled, 06 CPU score @ 2600mhz with 2400NB is 36xx. 2800mhz CPU and 1800mhz NB is also around 3600p. Did 4k EASY with 250*11 on my Gigabyte with 2250nb!
Depends... I can run 220*11,5 for 24\7 use, but it is a bit pick at some times. But i have hade problems with warm reboots at some times. BIOS NEEDS WORK DID DFI HEAR THAT?
Announcement:
OK.....Guys its time to start pulling together in unison and start finding out the glitches in this 12/21/07 Beta Bios for Both Dual Core and more Impotantly for the 'Phenom" Processors so we can submit the findings to D.F.I Taiwan and get some suitable D.F.I worthy Bios rolled out for us! I ask this from all of you with this Board to Please Participate in this event so we can get some results from D.F.I inc in a suitable time frame and seeing how there is a very small user base its even more important to do this so it does not go unattended to!!
All those that Participate Take Comfort in Knowing that in the Event anything should go wrong with you're Bios Chip due To Bad Flash or Bios Corruption During 12/21/07 Beta Bios Testing I have you're Back and will Provide a "FREE" Bios Reprogramming in the Event anything bad should transpire as mentioned above! :D
Gentleman with "PHENOM" Please post Bios Pictures of available opyions in Bios with Quad Core Installed anything related to CPU/HT/VDimm what ever is different in Bios options that becomes avalable when Phemon is installed please:)
Depending on how it fairs in FAE...there will be another beta 790FX bios out in a few days. So you may want to save your energy 'busting' that 12/21 bios.
Rgone, Realy nice to see you here, we could need som more help! Do you know if the new beta bios will suport the 9600 BE?
Screns for Campbell

Hey, Robert great to see such a fine gentleman posting in my thread :toast: I have nothing but respect for you and you're skills and suggestions are always wanted and welcomed and held with high regard. Just wish we saw you stepping out more than you do on the forum you're such a nice person and we could use more of that around here lately;)
@BadNizzle.......thanks for the pictures mate I have been wanting to see that since Tony put up the thread over a month ago!
:D
On a serious note, I've not seen higher than ~273HT on Phenom yet (ss) and higher than 265x10 or 259x11 stable.
The board I have can do 396 with X2 though and 370 was fully stable (only one I tested).
Just say the word if you need more pics! I´m back testing my 9500 on my Gigabyte board. To me It locks like my BE is much weaker then my 9500. Max botable with my BE is 200*13 or 260*10 for 2600mhz, then i can use AMD overdrive to 2700mhz. 2800 will freeze my system! 200*14 will post but reboots before entering windows. I just compleated an 06 run at 2750mhz mhz CPU and 2750mhz NB with my 9500. Board would not post at 2600mhz NB or higer with my 9600 BE 5 mins earler! I´m almost 100% sure that running high NB clocks is a 50\50 split between CPU and motherboard! I will have more screen to back upp my claims tomorrow!
Generally from what I see is that the 9600 BE are not doing well but then again all of the 4 people on the forum with them its kinda hard to make that statement for the masses:D I don't know man from what I see it appears the lowly Phenom 9500 is doing the best overall and the 9600 Black Edition is not worth getting other than to say you have a Black Edition and pay more money of course:(
Same here Brother. 9500 looks to be doing best so far but I'm looking to see ≥2.8GHz stable 24/7 with anyone yet. However I've not tested my BE yet to know how it fairs, but should get above 2.6GHz because of a better BIOS based on my last 2 9600s experiences... unless its a total dud. ;)
I will give you 2,8Ghz prime stable tomorrow ;) My CPU does 2750 @ 1,392 those extra 50mhz can´t be THAT hard!
:off: It´s WAY past my bed time so it´s time for some Xtreme sleep now :off:
Right on brother get some rest and have a good night:)
OK.......Have confirmed some of the issues I have posted about the 12/21/07 Beta Bios so there are some issues with it guys you have been briefed already if not read back a page or 2 and you can see the findings Good/Bad that I have found:)
"New" DFI LanParty UT 790FX-M2R 1/03/08 Beta Bios out!
http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/Downlo...FLAG=B&SITE=US
You still around BadNizze? :D
Yes where is that Bad Biscuit at?....Er...ummm ...I mean BadNizzle with the shazizzle:D
I´m right here bro! I took a break from my Agena´s... Got tired of the constant crashing :( I´m running my 6400+ know, works like a charm! Will Try the new bios tomorrow. Atleast i found out that my 9500 is much stronger then my BE. Also cheak out the new CPU-Z 1,43 should work with 9600 BE! Again sorry for the delay!
EDIT: Has anyone hade any luck running 1200mhz ram?
My Ballistix can do this...
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c338/Swe_Eric/585.gif
But 600mhz even at 5-5-5-18b with loose subs is a big no no for me!
Nice BIOS!
It's no release to fix issues with the Phenom. My rig now runs unstable @ optimizes defaults - thx DFI!!!
One chance left for them to get a decent release, then show me the way to Penryn.
One positiv thing: +150MB/s more read bandwith
Thanks for the heads up! I´il wait untill this is confirmed - need my rig for day to day tasks...
@BadNizzle.........Thank you for answering my request and emailing me the Pictures of the Bios Screens with "Phenom" ;) You are a gentleman thank you!:toast:
Also the offer is still on the Table for those that Bios Test so lets pull together and make this Happen shall we?:D
Why don't you try the settings that I have provided via Bios Template on the First Page? There is Documented 3400mhz 13hr Prime run as well as 9 hr Prime run @3500mhz both with full bios settings:)
1200MHZ is hard on this Board for some reason whu I don't know because my OCZ do well over 1200mhz that I know as fact/
BTW,,,,,,Don't waste you're time with the 1/03/07 Bios the Network and Ram Latency is borked and its consistent with the last 3 Beta and 1 pretender Official 12/11/07 the PCI-E issues and Network Latency are front and center and quite obvious tried 20 different settings and reboots and the NIC Performance is Sh**T no matter what I try! Going Back to 11/22/07 Official as it appears to be the most stable and complete out of the lot!
Does anyone have anything to report in on with the 12/21/07 & 1/03/08 Beta Bios Findings?
Well I haven't had much chance to OC this thing yet.
So can't speak to much about OC issue as u guys have experienced.
But 1 thing I have noticed is that I can't change the PCI speed to 16x.
Anything other than auto will result in artifacts or crashing in 3D apps.
Other that that she is running fine.
Was able to do 280x9 all on default volts, and mostly all ram settings on auto.
I had to change the ram speed to 800, cause it defaulted to 667 on startup. SPD Problem I guess? Just finished 10 hours on Orthos @ 230 x 13, 3dmark,games,and watched a movie all without restarting.
So I would say its very stable 4 me.
Oh ya, how u guys get the worker thread on prime 95?
Not sure if it's already known but the board is available in differen german shops now.
Cheapest i found (and ordered one together wit cb tracers) is HPM-Computer
See ya soon.:D
gee look at those prices!
http://www.hpm-computer.de/index.php...---790FX-.html
MSI turns out to be the absolute best buy!
You are right, but i want a board with tons of bios settings, to get familar with all that stuff.
Also the board looks much better. As it will be on my table most of the time that matters. ;)
EDIT: But after reading those two threads at once I canceld the order as it seems that board has issues with phenom and there is a new one out.
I saw you're post in the New LanParty thread I would not worry about temps they are really good and the board is a really great board;)
Phenom support is Bios Related man and the other board is not as trick with the harware as this one is.
So you'd recommend using the M2R? It looks more professional than the M2RS indeed.
Beside the 4 phase analogue pwm vs. 4 phase digital the only difference I can see is are missing heatpipes.
Now I'm undecided.
I already have a mobo for whom i wait for a better bios, guess I will just wait for the next bios and a M2RS review before i order.
Good to see DFI boards are available in germany.
My Board is 7 Phase digital
I'm sure this is a good mobo but there are also strange problems...
I read some discussions and I am not yet sure of any of the mobo I saw... seems that the first versions of all these mobo have problems with Phenom and that perhaps is better to wait rev.2 or new mobo...
However it seems that Asus M3A32 has not this issue of 205HT with Phenom and it has also a good PWM 8 phase core + 2 phase memory controller.
Are you absolutely sure that the problems are all BIOS problems and not hardware related? (not only for DFI but of all manufacturer).
:)
I really cannot say for sure because I don't have a Phenom or used multiple boards for that matter but I know that the Source Code is a great deal of the issue and also my belief is this......... Phenom currently is suitable for stock set up nothing more and I would also be inclined to believe that the first generation boards from all Manufacturers are not up to the task either seeing how you see the results with the processors what makes you think AMD was prepared with the Motherboard designs either? Seeing how the Motherboard Manufactures can only work with whats available you cant really blame them now can you?
For me on my end I think its a great board with the only Achilles Heel being the SB600 and that right there should tell you the board or any board with SB600 is not up to the task of clocking Phenom!
So true, 790FX needs SB 700 and better phenom suport. However I think that DFI will fix some of the issues with new bioses and rev B3 of Agena.
The Phenom thing I can understand but the New Motherboards utilizing the SB600 is stupid and should never have happened! Not to mention nobody really has ever cared for the SB600 controller to begin with:rolleyes:
@BadNizzle what Bios are you currently on?
All the manufacturers built their boards with the chipset AMD currently provides. If SB600 then SB600 and nothing any mobo maker can do to change that. Chipsets supplied by the chipset maker themselves will determine most of what and how a board will react in the long run. IF AMD wanted to push phenoms out the door with newly architected 790FX chipset which has SB600 as a component of total chipset, then that was exactly what AMD wanted and made all mobo makers do.
What's the big problem with the SB600? So I know it doesn't have the fastest HDD and USB controller, but it's least stable and error free.
only thing that lacks SB600 is proper AHCI support. SB600 has nothing to do wit OC'ing
sb600 have nothing to do with lack of phenom clocking.
You seems to be phemoming along whereas I am non-phenoming currently. Be that as it may and remembering AMD systems penchant for tighter timings, I would not likely be running DDR1200 on memory anyway, but slower and as tightly timed as the memory would run within reason. Not abandoning all speed for tightness alone but surely balanced between tightest timings with a modicum of speed.
Change the MaxReadLatency and tRFC higher when DDR2-1200 fails and test again. ;)
Now, I would I would like to see a IGP board from DFI for my HTPC!
Hey, tictac:) Thats not really the point I was making. The point I was making is that AMD came to bat unprepared with motherboard layout by utilizing old technology with new Architecture. Without coming right up front and saying it you know what I mean:yepp:
@BadNizzle.........How are you're thoughts on the 12/21/07 Beta?
Hello, 01/03/08 bios allowed me tighter memory sub-timings and max 260 ref clock over the 12/21 bios, which i could not get to post above ~252. Also, I can approach 2100mhz NB but not stable above 2000mhz no matter what voltage, 12/21 bios would not post above 2000mhz
This is my current highest stable overclock with 1/3/08 bios (prime95 8+ hours stable, no experienced lock-ups):
246 ref
phenom 9500 @ 2706 1.38125v (1.376v load), cpu-nb volt = 1.2v (default)
crucial ballistix pc2-8500 5-5-5-16 @ 492mhz 2.16v (1:2)
nb+ht @ 1968mhz 1.25v (default) (8x)
pcie @ 104 1.12v (default)
ref clock adjust gap @ 2 (<--- can i get an explanation on this setting please)
gives 12412 nuclearus, 21m20s project 2653 frame times running 2 smp clients for ~2377ppd
a stable 280+ ref clock is desired !! hope dfi can make this happen
Great feedback Iketh:up: BTW how is you're NIC performance on 1/03/2008 compared to previous, and noticeable slow downs?\
Perhaps if some others have similar results I will re-flash to 1/03/08 seeing how I just Erased and Re=Programmed my Bios chip perhaps it may yield different results this go around.
NIC ?? network controller?
Yes....NIC= Network-Interface-Controller:up:
no noticeable slowdown... it's funny u ask because yesterday windows decides to flake out on my network settings and say i have "limited or no connectivity"... i just disabled the port i was using and re-enabled the other instead of messing with windows... could have been corrupted data since i was in the middle of testing o/c's, but who knows
btw, 3 days of gaming with 2 smp clients loaded in background finally caused a lock-up with those 246 ref settings... and i had ref adjust at 2 (not 3) and pcie at 103 (not 100)... instead of backing down to 244 i went to my original 234 since that has never caused a lock-up and i can run my ballistix at 4-4-4-12, and everything is at stock voltages except cpu @ 1.30v
with the 1/3/08 bios, i still cannot cannot run x7 nb and 667 mem together... get's stuck at error code 26 which is just before it makes the post beep
edit: bumped cpu voltage 1 notch, going at it again with 246 ref
Quick question guys
I've got a Diamond HD3870 running on this board and default BIOS settings for PCI Express slots seem to be set at PCIe1.0 specs. If I go under PCIE Configurations and then under GFX1, under "Gen2 High Speed" I have 3 options, disabled (default, I'm assuming this gives you PCIe1.0), software switch, or autonomous switch. What do the 2nd two options mean?
I also had to go in and manually set the max power to 150W from the old 75W PCIe1.0 spec.
What for? It runs fine at 75w and the less power consumption the better
The Gen 2.0 settings right now I am on autonominus switch which btw I have no idea what that means and what the difference between the 2 are:rofl:
@willieK .........what Bios are you running please?
I wondered if the extra juice and bandwidth would really make that much of a difference. Doesn't seem to playing Guild Wars anyway.
I'm running the original BIOS that came with the board (I'm still confused as to whether or not the 11/22/07 BIOS is the original or the 1st updated version). From what I can tell just reading this thread, all of the BIOS updates have been for optimization with Phenom processors and I'm running an X2 5000+ BE. That coupled with 2 or 3 accounts of bad BIOS flashes on DFI boards (from Windows, floppy, and USB) has got me paranoid enough to hold off on updating the BIOS until I get a Phenom. I don't run RAID either.
Is there anywhere to get detailed info on all of these BIOS settings?
I have already stated on this Thread that I Program Bios Chips and for those that Test the Beta Bios out so that we may get some progres made with DFI on timely next Official release that is worth a Damn I made it clear that in the event of Bad flash or Bios corruption due to Beta Bios testing I will provide a Free Bios Re-Programming Service and get you back up and running!
This Service is Only for those that Participate in Active Beta Bios Testing for this Board no one else!
Good so far, I hade som Nic issues before with the relese bios, Sometimes I hade to dissble my network and then renable it go get it to work. This only happen the first time i booted the computer if my Modem\router hade been off during the night. As long as i keept the Router\Modem on there was no issues. I´m testing my ram Atm, 4-4-4-12 550mhz @ 2,42 priming away so far!
I have a quetion about this boot issue. Does the system not post or does it hangup during windows startup? If so, is it an Vista issue or does it occure with XP or Linux also?
Thanks in advance
achim~
The manual that you can download directly from the DFI website is much more detailed and does give a limited explanation of most of the BIOS settings. It's still not as detailed as I would like, though.
@ Bro Esau - I know you reprogram corrupted BIOS chips, and if I and the rest of my family didn't rely so heavily on this computer (it's the only one in the house) I'd certainly take you up on it. I need to get a cheap laptop so I can get my money's worth out of this board.
In the mean time, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! This thread is damn near the only thing on the internet worth reading at this point in time. Beside Ninjalane's review in this mobo, this thread is it for info on this mobo.
badnizze, am i reading ur signature right? u are running ballistix 5-4-4-12 @ 550 on the dfi with a 6400+?... are there any reports of getting 4-4-4-12 any higher than ~920mhz with a phenom?
@ BadNizze - have you run memtest86 with those sticks at those speeds and timings with your 6400+?
Reason I ask is that I've got 2 GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 paired with a 5000+ BE, and optimized default BIOS settings set DRAM voltage to 1.96 V and speed to 800 MHz. At these settings, memtest86 results come back error free. However, if I crank the voltage up to manufacturer's spec, which is 2.2 V, I get an error very quickly that halts testing.
800 MHz Crucial Ballistix is rated @ 2.2 V as well. Is it okay to run it undervolted, or is this just some artifact of memtest that I should ignore?
That 2.2 is the maximum voltage. I ran my ballistix tracers for months on 1.9v with 500 mhz @ 4-4-4-9 timing on a p-35. always use a fan also. errors @ the same speed but higher voltage indicates a serious lack of airflow. ram needs a good breeze over it to disapate the heat.
Thanks Jimmyz, the 12 cm fan on my XP-120 sits over the memory nicely.
Another strange thing I noticed using memtest86, my BIOS is set to run the memory at 400 MHz, but memtest is reporting 433 MHz. I was curious if it could be related to these settings:
http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...7/DSC01561.jpg
ODC control is under the DRAM settings in the Genie BIOS. I honestly have no idea what any of these settings mean, and the downloadable motherboard manual doesn't mention them. Any explanation of these settings or any other possible source of the reported memtest frequency from anyone would be appreciated.
Also in reference to the BIOS screenshot above, "DRAM Drivers Weak Mode" has 2 settings - "Normal Drive" and "Weak Drive". Does anyone know what this refers to?
I think we need Tony or Rgone to explain those settings, I dont have a clue either...
About my ballistix, I have a 80cfm Antec fan over them know when i run over 2,2. Fore 24/7 use my Si-128SE hangs over them and i have very good airflow throu my case aswell.
Speaking about Ballistix, I also have them on this mobo. Four Sticks of 1GB PC2-6400 EPP. I run them @1066 CL5 with 2V. Gradually I'm searching for the lowest possible voltage for this frequency. Right now I'm settled on 2V, so I can dedicate more time to CPU OC'ing…
Speaking about CPU OC'ing I do have annoying problem with this mobo and Phenom 9900…
Namely, CPU works w/o problem @ 2.8 GHz (14x200) with default voltage – 1.3V
The problem is when I shutdown PC, and power up it after some time (it makes no difference when), I get "88" post message on LED, and need to do EZ recovery. (power+reset button)
BIOS is 1/8/2008
@Nedjo.........You mean you're Bios is 1/03/2008 Beta?
BTW.......i RECENTLY JUST PULLED MY CHIP OUT AND Erased & Re-Programmed it with 11/22/07 Official and figured I would give 1/03/2008 another go and see if it made a difference and it did not The 1/03/2008 Beta is Bugged and should be avoided. Please use the 12/21/07 Beta if you must dabble in the beta bios!
Full tests with my Ballistix Pc8500, I´m only testing prime today. I don´t think SuperPi is much of an stability test, my goal today was to try diffrent 24/7 settings so only prime blend.
I´m not much of an writher\reviewer so we skip that part and go direcly to the results!
First my older 24/7 sertting of 5-4-4-12 @ 2,16v
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ic/Prime-5.gif
Same timings as above more Mhz! Done @ 2,25v
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c338/Swe_Eric/585.gif
4-4-4-12 @ 2,37 Very pleased with this :D
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...4-4-4-X235.gif
Tighther timings of 4-4-3-9 @ 2,42 also nice ;)
http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...4-4-3-9242.gif
Although nice, prime blend isn't really much good in my experience. Try Systools 32Million CPU benchmark as it uses plus 1.3GB RAM and will really let you know if your memory is erroring. And if that passes, Memtest is the proper stability tool you need to run, especially test#5. :)
Never used Wizzards Systool but I know from prior experience at some times what will pass MemTest will not Pass Prime95 Blend:)
brother, I want to see the review dfi 790 + PHENOM....:p:
Good "Coin Up" and get me a Phenom 9600 BE and I will give you a review:D
Nedjo......you're Bios is 1/03/2008 right? You wrote 1/8/2008:confused:
Yeah I made mistake...
Also you know I was dissatisfied with the fact that after switching of PC, and turning it on again, I get cold boot (code "88") when my Phenom 9900 is OC'ed @ 2.8 GB (14x200).
First I thought that reason is 1/03/2008 BIOS, so I switch back to previous beta, but this annoying problem remains :(
This is so far my biggest issue with this mobo.
I think that DFI really need to focus more efforts about this AMD flagship. After all they've build reputation for LP series around legendary s939 model, and I think they should push little more on AM2+ front...
