I just can't decide between the V2000 and the TJ07.
I like the looks of the V2000 a little more and it offers inverted ATX by default, but I don't know if the airflow at the bottom section is enough for two tripple rads without cutting the panels.

I have two triple rads in the bottom of my v2000,but you will need to cut the panels for good airflow...That's what i'm doing atm....
If your after a case that doesn't need any modding i would go for the tj07..But if you don't mind a lil work...I would go with v2000
the v2000 is alot more spacious and looks better in my opinion
cheers
not to mention V2000 is cheaper ;] (not much but still)
Anyway i have a question , the V1000B Plus is supposed to have a removable motherboard tray , but i can't figure out how to get it out , the attached to the case brochure doesn't show anything useful about that
oh and another thing, if i remove the two hard drive cages how can i mount my 2 hard drives in the 5.25 bays ? (because i don't see any way besides of doing a hammock out of rubber bands ) I'm asking because i want to put down there a 120.2 Rad only for the Cpu and perhaps the north bridge.
I think I will mail the panels to my dad, he's been working with metal for ages and can do wonders. I myself would probably just ruin them.
I ENVY YOU!!!!Quote:
Even better, my dad knows someone who can laser cut them.
there's no laser cutting place's in Aus that do small job's like side panel's
my only option was sending mine oversea's which would cost 2 much!!!
can your dad laser cut mine too? =p
on the weekend i got finaly aboaut 95% ready

Vaoww external dual V2000 :D
Looks a bit like my V-twin dual V1000 combo but not the light show. I couldn't live with that.
Nice work though.
It looks like Lian Li is about to launch side panels similar to those on the TJ07, so I may not have to laser cut mine at all.

Fantastic work mate
I'm a lil confused on how it's set out lol....
a lil more work on the cable management is only negative thing i could say....
s@#%$%@%# dammit just when i started to cut into mine aswell!!!!Quote:

oh well............
the Lian Li have got a very smooth look so like them very much :)
For the light i will install in the front switchs to turn the lights on/off
yes your right :) i will doe some cable managment in a few weeks when i have got my new switchs for the lights :)

Sorry for poor pics, only so much I can do with a phone camera!
Nope, its exhausting air from the case. Tried it the other way round and case temp rockets, not surprising as its cooling 2 OCed quad cores and an 8800GTS.
Nice cases you guys have here! :)
Anyone here using an Asus Blitz/Formula in his V1000/V2000? If yes, du you have any problems with these boards in this case due to the heatpipes and the upside-down mounting?
Hey, monitorkeeper, great job there mate. What rads have u got sat in there. Are they at GTX480 & 240? Just wondering, cos I want to fit a thermochill PA120.3 & a PA120.2 in exactly that arrangement, and I have a galaxy PSU too, I was just concerned about the heighet of the bottom compartment.
one 120m single one twin 120m and the new quad 120m from vadim
Temps around 45 Deg C on all cores running WCG, GTS around the same temp when gaming/3D Mark. Res mounts are all standard stuff although I am using a Swiftech bracket to hold the EK Res clip in place. Wires could do with a tidy, I do love those builds where you cant see any cables, but just doesnt seem to happen for me, guess I just have too much stuff in there!
Thanks for that... how well do they perform? Also, I take it by Vadim you mean the blast flow ones, as that is all I can see on their website other than the thermochills:
http://www.vadim.co.uk/Components/Wa...ling/Radiators
If so they are 120mm wide, and the Thermochills are 126mm wide. Do u recon there is enough space to get the thermochill's in there?
maybe a 120.2.... you can fit a 120.3 if you take out the psu thing (the thing that the psu sit's on) the thermochill 120.3 will hit it need to remove it to fit that size rad... and mount the psu high....
i couldn't say. but if you take the psu mount out then the psu wont get the air flow it need for the fan under neath it...
I think disruptfam meant to mount the PSU in the higher slot by revesing the back plate. That way you keep air circulation as much as poss, but can mount the tripple underneath it.
you will not fit 2 thermochills in the bottom section..... way 2 bigQuote:

i measured the bottom to the middle divide and you have 240mm to work with.... height wise
I ran into the same problem with my bigger rads awhile back...if you think you can squeeze them in you wont I've already tried lol
this is on the v2000 by the way
sorry dude
monitor keeper what temps r u getting with that setup???
well, i have ABIT AB9PRO, it has heatpipes on the chipset , it's mounted upside down and i didn't noticed ANY kind of cooling performance drop. That should take care of the "urban legend" with upside down heatpipes :p:
Anyway i don't have that kind of "problems" , share your thoughts guys
Bah... its a right pain is that... and probably means I have to go for a TJ07, even though I prefer the look of the V2000. Only other option would be to fit them one in front of the other, rather than one on top of the other I guess. Not sure what that would do to airflow though.
I really need to get a v2000
disruptfam.... It depends on how warm the room is. On ave i get cpu 32c... gfx 40c. at the mo.. but it changes with the weather. cpu never goes above 38c and gfx never goes above 56c on max load
if anybody is interested in a Lian Li PC-V2000B Plus Full Tower ATX Case...pm me...*-)
I just got a PC-V2000 and I was wondering if the power switch is:
a. easily removed without scratching anything
b. the same size as the bulgin/vandal style switches that they sell at xoxide, and frozen cpu
The cord is a 3 pin adapter and the mobo just has a two pin so I thought I would get an illuminated switch to spruce it up a bit.
Anyone?
Hmm... thats an interesting quesiton, cos I have 2 bulgin switches right here, and may well do the same thing when i get my case if they fit!
They seem like they would fit- the only thing that might be a problem is that the Lian-Li switch may be smaller? It's hard to say because the case is so damn huge it may just appear smaller :) . So when are ya getting your case? I'm curious to find out if they'll fit without use of a dremel or file.
Where have all the v1000/ 2000 owners gone?
one of my customer has done such modification for V2000 with Vandal switch. I am sure it is easy modification :) I would more worry about reset swtich as there is none :P
Did your customer's mod require a dremel or other such tools? I'm just trying to see what I'm in for.
The Bulgin is 19mm hole, same as V series Lian Li.
You can source a Lian Li reset switch from PerfPC if you want to add a reset that matches.
I used the one on my second half as a reset.
This is a build i've just completed for a customer...

wow that's nice marcus....
is that panel laser cut? and what rads are you using?
Yeh the panel was lasered and acrylic fitted for the window then mesh behind the text.
Rads are Black Ice 240 GTS in the roof and an XSPC R120-D in the bottom.
Ok, that dual plate is pretty cool.
Cheers guys, I'll post up a few of the other builds we've done a little later.
marcus, that looks sweet.
From GAM an aussie outlet that sells Bulgin switches. They say-
"The switches are very easy to install through simple 19mm diameter holes."
Thanks!!!
I had a dream of V3000B :lol2:
Oh if they would just make the V2000 a little bigger.
I would like an adapter that allows you to put a 120mm fan in the drive bay covers...I'm off to look if such a thing exists before I get out the Dremel...
Would these accessories work? I believe I've seen a few of these earlier in the thread, but there's no compatibility charts on them.

I've also seen the mesh drive bay covers like some have here and I was wondering if there's a bracket or something that easily allows the mounting of a 120mm fan behind them like the one DearKook has on page 3 of this thread.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/65...tml?tl=g43c241
That's the best looking case LL I've seen in a long time Frankenchrist. Do you have any more pics?
That's not mine! It's DearKook's from page 3 of this thread. I agree, it's what I'm striving for wire-management wise. I have the v2000 and I just ordered the drive bay fan-mount that I linked to above. I'm curious to see when I add the new fan in front (for a total of 2 intakes in front) if I should keep the PCI slot fan http://www.frozencpu.com/products/53...tml?tl=g43c241
blowing on the PCI cards or exhausting hot air off of them. With just one fan on intake the CPU stayed a few degrees cooler with it exhausting, but the GPU was several degrees hotter. I'm thinking that with 2 fans on intake (the one that it comes with just blows into the Hard Drive/ PSU bay) the CPU will stay just as cold and hopefully so will the GPU. I also noticed that DearKook removed the black mesh that Lian-Li ships to put behind the rear exhaust fan and I think I'm going to remove mine as well.
Is there a way to order the V2000B with the plexi-glass window or you absolutely need to buy the window seperately?
I was about to order this case but I'd like to see what inside the computer :D
If not where can I find this plexi window in Canada?
The A+ Black Pearl ships with the window as standard, it's pretty much identical to the V2000 but the front panel is slightly different.

nice work man... please take pics in daylight..
Am using those on my V1000 x 2 build. You'll find you need to do a little filing to fit into the V2000 drive tower. There's not quite enough clearance between the small horizontal tangs intended to support the drives for the 525 bay housing to slide in. Take 1/32" off top and bottom of the side flanges and it'll fit.
No real biggie. Just took a bit off where indicated-
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...01-trimmed.jpg
Can a v2000 cool a system sufficiently with just the two stock fans? I see some people with Lian-Lis on air, but it seems like the way the intake/exhaust fans are set up would not yield enough air flow through such a large case to keep a high-end system cool. I really like the looks of the LLv2000, but after putting out the money for a new system inside such an expensive case, I would not be able to afford a good water setup for a while, and it would concern me to use such minimal cooling compared to other cases such as a stacker or the NZXT Zero, especially considering both of those cases combined cost less than a v2000 + a side panel.
The whole case is a radiator. Hence all the holes. It's more about design of airflow than number of fans and the V series Lian-Li cases have airflow design sorted.
Thanks Jedda, that will surely save me some time. I'm not against filing it's just that I figured a Lian-Li aftermarket product would fit seamlessly in a Lian-Li case. And as to Evi's point above, the stock fans do keep it cool, I just could've lived without a few 5" drive bays in trade for an intake fan that blows on the mobo in addition to the one that blows on the HD's and PSU- IMHO... :)
woah dude can you downsize your pic's abit.....
also can you take some internal shot's
:)
I added two fans to the window of the case and tidied up the wiring a little.
(Check Below, I had made the pics too big, I pulled them so it's easier on the eyes, smaller versions below. )

Ghetto !!
OCZ cooler cpu duct lost in space. Bits of old masonite stuck in there. You're sure you're not the open test rack kind of guy, rather than a closed case guy?
outblast downsize your pics!!! please do not pic quote him!! 2 big!!!
Well yea i need to rearrange some stuff there i dont have to much room to move the enermax because i have an Antex true power 530w sitting on top of it. they both get plenty of air and explel it out the back. Ive got these really cool lian li side ducts (hard to find) that devert psu air to the side in the back away from the radiator.
Im getting good temps now but I opted to get another 3X120mm rad which is on the way, for good measure. Since taking this pic I lowerd the cpu voltage to 1.35 and found it to remain stable.
http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/3...rloadedib0.jpg
I got rid of that ocz fan and put it over the memory. I have 1/2" aluminum sinks on my ram ;)
Iv got custom sinks on just about every thing; to answer the question above..I made this cool air duct with a 80mm fan attached to replace where the ocz fans position. Ill take a pic shortly.
indeed ima avid mountain bike rider. Just went through 2 $2500 SantaCruz frames that snaped in the same place whith in a year and 1/2. long story but im not in the least happy with the company. Great bikes though while they lasted. Just got enough saved up for a Specialized demo 8 bike which is AWSOME btw. not to mention the frame has a lifetime warranty.

Here's a couple of questions for the v1000 & 2000 owners. I have this case:
http://www.xoxide.com/lian-li-pc-v2000aw-plus-2.html
1. Which way do you have the fan oriented that's mounted by the pci slots?
2. Which way do you have your PSU mounted in the lower chamber?
3. Or which way do you think they both should be mounted to keep things the coolest?
I have 1 intake fan on the lower and upper chambers on the front of the case, 2 80mm exhaust fans in the PSU chamber, and 1 exhaust fan behind the CPU and the PCI slot/side panel fan.
I have also figured out that by removing the black mesh that they ship on the rear fan, my cpu temp seems to have dropped by between 1 and 2 degrees. It's not much but it's something.
Thanks
Hey, so i decided to rebuild everythinng after reading some of the users feedback. I have an extra 1x120mm rad laying around that im going to through into the loop but im really not sure where to tye it in at or place it. much help would be appreciated. Ive overvolted my pump which spins like crazy so i should have plenty of presure. Any sugestions?
