Yep, everything (per my sig) is watercooled.
62-64c: Priming w/ small FFT's
58-61c: Gaming
All based on 1.52vCore Windows (bios 1.5625)
I've done the pencil Vdroop mod and lapped the processor. It's flat now and makes excellent contact with the waterblock. As a result my 24/7 3909MHz temps are:
53-56c: Priming w/ small FFT's
48-51c: Gaming
All based on 1.4625vCore Windows (bios 1.4625)
Shonuff , besides the topic can you pm me some links to your hardware setup, I ordered a complete set of EK waterblocks for my NB, SB and PWM's wanna see how you got them hooked up... thx in adavance

@NightRaven I am using the original revision of the board. Your question is a controversial one as those in the know claim that there was only one revision of the Striker ever produced.
This issue could not be resolved by ASUS directly, it's related to NVMM by nVidia. It was addressed last week to my known, maybe next week 140x will be released for public.Quote:

It's rather nVidia NB behaviour, than Striker itself. Some portions of BIOS are written by nVidia R&D, and they're not moddable by any vendor.

You had pretty good results on the quad, was the board modded in any way , any piccies of your setup, Bios details ,...
I have some friends with quads all reaching 360FSB but not a mhz higher ( on Q6600,QX6700 and on a GO Q6600 )

Mmm tried new bios on stock all is okay, though I am not be able to test 400FSB/800Mhz ram, doesn't post ( all sorts of various errors though "det IDE" is the most common ), 425FSB works fab, 450 no go also not 475 that ran perfectly with 1303 bios... so might be worth it with quads or newer GO's but for my E6600 back to 1303... think there are new FSB holes but too tired to search for them (again)
I compared stock timings against the 1303 and only thing I noted in the scores they were all slightly slower and ram latency has gone up gain (prolly to enhance the overclocks) from 68 to 70 (ram at stock 800mhz 5-5-5-15 2T)
Hope to see more positive reports then mine.. for me they can withdraw this release asap :)
BIOS 1305, totally ruined by stable OC settings, dont use it!

Mate, I recon it comes down to what multi you run 'v' clock speed. I found that using an 8x multi, 497 FSB (1988 Mhz to be exact) gave the best performance mainly due to memory bandwidth and latency. Going to 9x, I ran at 446 FSB but couldn't get the same performance even though CPU speed was higher. It's just all these holes which are in the 680 chipset. I sent off my settings to a mate with the exact same setup except for a X6800 and his benches were completely different (far slower) using the identical BIOS settings. Anything over 500 dropped away. I need to run in Linked & synced mode at these speeds otherwise I get no post. I think ASUS forgot about us now. I bet their ROG departmen is working on Blitz Extreme and Maximus :(
I totally agree with you. The promised 1401 bios wasn't published yet up to now, although we were told that it would be published soon.
