A friend told me a month or two ago in a MP that the Barcelona is entered in production.

He didn't reveal me who sended him the mail, but my friend is known to know more about us.

i'm looking for the MP ( i don't delete it ) for the day of the start of the production.

AMD never lied, that's not a proof that they didn't lied in the interview. Same for my friend, he never lied me about AMD. :nono:

Hmm this isnt ATI releasing their new card and AMD showing their new CPU.
Maybe they want to launch it all, maybe some new mobos also ?
Just to go out with something huge to show the fruit of buying ATI.

If they kick intels and nvidias butt of the map then thats pretty impressive and alot of people will remember that release and talk about it in the future.

Why does everyone think that just because news of the video was posted on the 28th that it must mean the video was MADE on the 28th? It's humorous to see how desperate people are for news.

I get the felling cebit will hopefully put up some numbers for both the r600 and the K10 cpu's. if they don't, then they seem to be asking to lose customers. I was waiting for a r600 after xmas, but still not here, so i just opted the cheap route and go x1900 crossfire. Come on AMD!

Hector says, and I'm paraphrasing here, that in the past, some benchmarks/applications were better for the 'competition' (one would assume, Intel), and other benchmarks/applications were better for AMD, and that this next generation would be a large leap

in other words, AMD would take all....I'm sure there'll be a transcript soon, as he words it better..

fab 30 is converting from 8" to 12" and renamed to fab 38. until then, it will be pumping out 90nm parts, not 65nm, to reduce risk.

the summer part is for chartered 65nm parts.

donno, the end of summer release for barcelona is a disappiontment for me at least. was expecting a release like am2 parts, in june. :( but its gonna save me some money for a summer trip somewhere lol.

I agree, and the same goes with the "EE Times: Barcelona 42 percent higher floating-point& double integer lead over X5355" thread as well. Same s-h-i-t (lol word filters) they have been yapping about for months now and yet this is somehow new news that has spanned into 10 pages of speculation. AMD never said what configuration they were running to produce this 42% or anything else for that matter, yet some feel this chip will be the performance king no questions asked.
