This is the LN2 week.....:D
P.S. The ASUS Striker mobo is a pain in the arss as of it's functions....BS for highspeed O/Cing.....:( :nono:
Great results hipro, make some pics of LN2 action ;)
regards
Good luck with you ln2 sessions
regards
2k1 under cascade...... it was a quick run though ....:)
COMPARE 2k1 URL.....
94k with the cards stock cooled.. ;)
I wish you luck!
Stop playing George and give us the real results ! :D
:toast:
Wow man, if this cpu is 5400+ benchable, like another you have before, with 900+/1200 LN2 cooled, all WR are yours :)) Except 2003 with the bug :mad:Quote:

It's MY CPU this one...The one that did 5400+ on ABIT mobo and hoping to do the same here....
Though the Striker is TOO "delicate" for high frequencies benching.....
I suggest ppl that want to play high with cascade or LN2, to avoid it and go with the EVGA one or with the ABIT IN9 when they fix the upper multi (I'll test this one soon)....
ASUS Striker is a decent mobo BUT for air and single stage phase change system.....No more than this.....
I know I will have bad times of benching with it BUT I can't go back now coz I have lost SEVERAL hours for insulating and moding it so I have to keep on with this one for the time been.....:(
P.S. with the bios 701, I can boot now with Cas 3-2-2-x and 1T from 1500 to 1598 QFSB within bios..... :)
Realy great so far Hipro!!Quote:

With only a x300se card i can bench superpi on 5ghz on 680i but if i put inn 2x 8800GTX it dont go better than about 4750 :(
On p5b i use 1,86v but on 680i all over 1,78v wil result in reboot or Hang after i start 3d mark. It looks like the cpu cant take mutch volt on 680i?
The REAL problem at least as of Striker mobo is it's VDROOP......It exceeds the 50mV Vdroop allowense for the CPU.....IF anyone does the Vdroop mod, then things are getting even worse when trying to stabilize the droop of it and resaults in freezes into windows during bench....:(Quote:

ALL THOSE YEARS and ASUS keeps having the EXACT SAME problem over and over......At least ABIT AW9D has a SOLID VCore power circuit with 0.01Vdroop at 2VCore....
Say that again.......SAME thing happens here too....:(Quote:

The higher you go, the higher VCore you need, so high Vdroop occures in such a case as I have configured till now....:(
Thats weird, especially if the problem is even worse after the droop mod. I hope you get everything sorted out, I know if anybody can do it, its you :toast:
:slapass: Asus :nono:Quote:

But asus card is mutsch better in ram clock :)
Also with one gfx card cpu is clocking about 100-150mhz better that with 2 gfx cards..... Anny sugestion too what i can doo too fiks this?
i hawe already tested with 2 psu but no gain from only one 900w tagan power :(
yeah i noticed my 680i is a little "delicate" at CPU limit.....it won't let me use more than 1.55v on air whereas i used to go as high as 1.675v in bios with Asus for benching....Asus P5B Deluxe that is against eVGA 680i  .........also results were spotty.........while at one point i could do 32M at 3950 on another try it was crashing below 3.9GHz with numerous settings and even repeating the same settings that got me previous high benches....ambients were only getting lower during the night test last time.....bit finickyQuote:

It might be 680i's problem though if you encode the same on EVGA mobos too.....:(Quote:

Looking forward for a solution from you George:)

Sham (Lardarse) hit 5ghz on Striker with Kensfield. Maybe he knows the answer .

And Kinc also have over 5g on striker

If you will notice, HiPro is at 5100+
NO, we talking about quad cores;)Quote:

I don't want to say more for the time been, but I did some mods on Striker so as to stabilize it a bit for 3D and tested with my few LN2 left since the day before yesterday.......
I wonder if I can get 100K on 2k1 with VGAs on AIR?....
With your X6800 it is possible only if the Striker will overclock like the AWD9-MAX 5.5GHZ may beQuote:

Yes I know......I have to power up the air condition in here so as my VGAs can do 675MHz real Core to do so.....;)Quote:

1522
823
1234

Now IF my VGAs goes at their next o/c step and 675MHz core and 1108MHz rams....what should I expect?......
95k, maybe close to 96k
I'm now at 98K+.....recalculate.......;)Quote:

Hehe that's cool :) I believe you can do it. What CPU freq are you running now? 5,4 should get you very close to 100k with cards on air.
That means that I am almost right :D , what score you got in nature at that speedQuote:

hipro, do you have any interesting mods on your Striker mobo, CPU VTT maybe?
I add more capacitors on mobo plus I through out those heat pipes heatsinks and replace the Northbridge’s with a Swiftech one.....
Just finished testing one VGA under cascade.
-82*C full load and benchable 891MHz core and 1262MHz rams....
Nature score with the CPU at 2900MHz is 935fps....Not bad I think....:)
Fortunately this VGA has no cold bug......I'll test the other one tomorrow....:)
Well, within a week, you'll break A LOT of Wr' :D
KP, set you rig up once again to do some battling :cheer:
I also replaced the heatpipes crap and saw much better o/c capabilities from the mobo.Did you find anything with the vdrop?I also beleave that some more cpu vtt would be also helpfull.Quote:

hipro what about trying out the IN9? Don't know much about but seeing you liked AW9D... :)
Yes I'll sure do....I'll have it in my hands on Wednesday....It's in customs office right now...;)Quote:

You see those are "tiny" digital circuit ICs with internal power Mos-fets and it's quite hard to keep them cool....:(
maybe deep freeze the entire board LOLQuote:

Cut out the digital circuit and supply power from circuit taken from another motherboard? :D
Maybe you could mod one of memory voltage supply units to directly power the cpu and cut out the boards power circuitry completely? You would have good stable power, super accurate voltages, and you could even go a little crazy (greater than 2v core voltage hmmmm?). It probably wouldnt work, but just thought I'd throw that idea out there.
It would work, just have to desolder some stuff.
Might be a better idea to build a linear voltage regulator that supplies from 1v to 3v at ~300 amps so you could move it from motherboard to motherboard. The maximizer isnt quite powerful enough for overclocking, though it could handle most cpu's at stock I bet :D
I'll test it as is and I'll get back for report.....:)
BTW 1st VGA is at 918MHz and 1216MHz 3D benchable under esdee's cascade....Of course with Chilly's evap at -83*C full load....;) :)
Hows '03 working out for you thus far? Have you figured out what was giving you problems before?Quote:

You said you replaced the NB heatsink.
Did you notice the NB chip label?
Is it NF680i-SLI-N-A2 or C55-SLIX16N-A2?
Would you please be so kind to report the idle BIOS CPU Temp and Core-temp readings, at any frequency?

5-Phase Maximizer, one to each onboard phase :DQuote:
