Reasoning being the new boards make 600MHz look too easy...like a Winchester@2.8, Venice at 2.9...which took more skill, but which will be at the top of a chart?
not any less easy than AM2 makes hitting 600mhz :toast:Quote:

Ram and mobo def not maxed out. Using 1.88v on the chip in that last 32m and it can still go about 20c colder before it locks, so maybe there is more, we'll see :D. That was first ln2 bench session with that chip and I didnt want to blow anything up from the start.
Hey thanx alot, my FX-57 rival....always wanted to say great job btw on that :D. 32m is really new to me and I don't have it down like the French OC'rs or Japanese do, but I am learning. Any tips from you guys is hugely appreciated :toast:Quote:

680i strangely works better with Core1 unticked LOL
i found that ~128 maxmem was fastest consistently on 1M and around 600 for 32M.............coppy wazza ain't that great on C2D or i haven't hit the sweet spot but ~5seconds is nothing to sneeze at anyway :)...............Before has some crazy 6GB file he uses but he hasn't mentioned he gains with it...i use ~2GB file
i was much better at AMD tweaks but the key here is RAM speed on P965 with 4-4-4-x maxed out and a few basic tweaks or if you have a chance to go with WS Pro board and max 3-3-3-x timings 1:1 there is nothing that competes....(well so far i haven't seen anyone attempt what you've done for tops scores :D P965+high CAS4)....but tweaks are a bit different on 975X chipset which i have no experience with at all
I'm going to go out on a limb and say if you apply the above along with a few reg tweaks and extra juice and speed on CPU....some records in SuperPI categories will go down..... :)
fingers crossed this CPU likes 1.95v and another 20C temps drop as you say :slobber:

Is that 1004 bios better than others for X6800? 32M stability @5.2GHz is very good (and with both cores enable...)... okay you need the Right chip to do so, but on P965 it's pretty awesome even with it.
For fastest 32M times (may be 9m20s for you :D), copy-wazza is by far the most important tip with Luna theme. I'm using a big file to copy from the OS partition to the Spi partition prior to run spi.exe.
You know, spi.exe redundantly calls uxtheme.dll to write computations, manage the window, etc. so you need to have theme's service running along with Luna theme enable instead of Win Classic. Also, green olive or silver schemes are little bit better than blue one...
Then, I guess I'm not gonna teach you something there, but you have some registery keys that can be changed. BTW it remains me unclear which ones are actually used by the kernel.
Anyway; if you have questions, feel free to drop me a pm ;)
Updated. Sorry for the delay. I have definately not forgotten about this thread. Its flattering to see ppl join XS and their submissions here are their only posts.
Sorry but I stick with the 2GB, 965, 975, AM2 setups only. I stick by the idea that its too easy to hit 600MHz on 680I and RD600, so maybe the 700MHz thread is more for those guys ;)
Someone suggested 1T. If ppl break 600MHz, 1T then hell yes I want to see your posts here! but I suspect a dedicated Congratulations thread will be more appropriate!
