Sorry guys for my late post but I was TOO busy the last couple of days and I did nothing at all....From tomorrow I'll test every timming and every voltage so as to help you see what they do in a chart or something like that....:)

damn... what is the minimum Vdimm you need to give these puppies to make them work?
i've tried 400 1:1 with 4-4-4-12 and 5-5-5-15 and it's not prime stable...
if i increase the voltages to 2.3 Vdimm and mch to 1.8 the tests run for 2 minutes... can you guys help this noob?
i'm running with the abit as well with the 1.2 bios
i have the Pc8000 5-5-5-15 version (cellshock)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok,here are some what i like to call "real world" results.I say real world because they were in a proper case, with no added fans, stock mobo, and run at sensible 24/7 voltages in ambients of 22c.I used the 670 and p5wd2-p (955) on the 14 multi (to keep fsb up),because i have a feeling the 975x chipset will hinder the rams in certain scenario's.I ran 3 common sets of timings at 2.1v and 2.3v (2.08/2.28 actual) and ran these for 1m,8m and 32m.I left the secondary ram timings at the settings the bios thought appropriate for the various deviders i ran. Here are the results in mhz.
............................... 1m. .8m. .32m
3-3-3-8.. 4/5 @ 2.08v. 381 .378 .375
3-3-3-8.. 4/5 @ 2.28v. 414 .411. 409
4-4-4-12. 3/5 @ 2.08v. 497 .495 .490
4-4-4-12. 3/5 @ 2.28v. 539 .534 .532
5-5-5-16. 1/2 @ 2.08v. 536 .530 .528
5-5-5-16. 1/2 @ 2.28v. 547 .542 .538
not sure why, but i can't go higher than 385 1:1, no matter what timings i use...
also using 385 with 667 memory divisor doesn't work either...
I first i thought i had a problem like that with my 5400GA, i thought they had elpida chips on them... but now... same thing...
i've tested the cpu in orthos and is runs well. when i use blend or memory, it fails after a few seconds...
Same here!! This board seems to be very finicky with memory . I have tried a few different sets of memory. all fail after a few seconds of blend but can run CPU all night. I had some pc1000 at 6-6-6-18 fail at 390 yet the same sticks run on my dfi at 4-3-4-10 440 all day. I have sent a couple of emails to ABit about it. will post back IF they reply.Quote:

Looks like i need to do vmch mod because the board can't pass 572fsb. :slapass:
I'm testing other timings/fsb.
I'll keep this updated.

These memos are really great :woot:
Well, my aw9d-max does the cold booting thing so once in a while since a few day`s with 1.2 bios.
I need 2 pci slots so I will buy the asus p5w-dh since that is the only one my retailer has ( don`t want to order a board online anymore ;) ) .
Any of you guy`s having cold boots sometimes with the abit aw9d-max ? ( the shutdowns of the fans on starting (and restarting while bios saving ) and the HDD power downs with the scary clicking )
Mine has never done that, i have had it hang on failed overclocks and the only way to get it back responding was to power down.Quote:

Hmmmm... P5W64 or AW9DMAX??
Still depends on getting a cherry, though...
My P5W64 stopped at 430.
difficult decision indeed... my MAX maxed out @ 420...
maybe becasue i turn too fast?! hahahaQuote:

From 3-4-4-8 to 4-4-4-12 only a gain of 3MHz... looks like something is limiting me at 575MHz fsb. :slapass:
Just a quick 1M Spi test @ 3-4-4-4 with E6600 @ 4683MHz Stock Vapochill LS Cooled:

Vmem used:

Looks like 6400 kits have D9GKX. I dont know because i didnt taked off the heatspreaders but this kit is making same results of my other two Cellshock 8000 CL4 kits.
Vmem @ 2.72v and just one 92mm fan giving them some air and it was cold. :D
I believe that this babies can go to 600MHz @ 4-4-4-12. Just need to find what is blowing @ 575fsb.
Congratulations Cellshock. This was really :woot: mems!
very nice lasac
;)
insale clocks for 2x1GB
Why dont you use mem dividers?
Here is what chips Cellshock is using according to one of its employees:
Do you have the possibility to test the same sticks on a 975X board?Quote:
DDR2-800 CL4 - Micron D9GMH
DDR2-1000 CL5 - Micron D9GMH/D9GKX
DDR2-1000 CL4 - Micron D9GKX
Did you buy the stick from a shop or did you request them from Cellshock?
Buy them at shop.
I know that Cellshock have D9GMH on 6400 sticks but these 6400 sticks performs like D9GKX.
When I have more time i will fully test them. ;)
Now some tests with low voltage:

Tomorrow i'll try to spend some time trying higher mem multi to discover the max fsb @ 4-4-4-12 2.72v
I have finally found some DDR2 that I really want but its as rare as hens teeth in AU :slobber:
you can also find some GKX on 800 ;)
lets call it special-christmas edition (or whatever you like)... watch out for batch: 1.09196.95.360 and 1.09256.97.360 :)
Alonso are you working for cellshock now?
