Hi guy, I'm finally able to test my 7900GTO and...OMG it doesn't move from stock speeds! I'm overclocking from coolbits and it doesn't even reach 680/1400, it says they aren't stable frequencies...It is odd, it makes me thing of some driver's problem...I'm on Forceware 93.71, could there be some problems with it, too? It is possible I got a card THIS unlucky?Should I use rivatuner or what?

I got better results w/RT,I'm on 91.47

I've seen on the first post there is bench with 700/700, I would like to know if coolaler had the same problem I have, I bought another msi for my friend and that made the same thing, no oc over 700/700. Now the question:
1)is it common?
2)do you suggest me to flash to gtx?Or this very poor results lower the possibility to achieve high frequencies?
3)can you provide a bios that has convenient timings but don't change name to GTX? Would that be useful for warranty issues?
4)I've read some topics about pencil mod...how can I measure resistance? The result of simply measuring the resistor shouldn't be correct, because I would have to care about equivalence of the whole circuit, or am I wrong?

anyone else get yellow dots on atitool scanner (the new scanner, not the "old scanning method")??

Mine is perfectly fine at 1600 ram stock volts in games/3dmark etc but atitool scanner shows lots of yellow dots..

Now card is not clocked but E6300 is 3Ghz and mems are 537Mhz. This card's stock frequencies are 650/800 (Sanct model)

Hi ! I have MSI NX7900GTO-T2D512E (flashed 7900GTX bios) 690/800 but my results are:
3DMark03 20100
3DMark05 9060

With the stock bios results were at 690/750 max stable
3DMark03 20600
3DMark05 9160

So looks like I gaind nothing with 7900GTX bios but it doesent matter. I wonder:
Why do I get those results at the first time (stock bios) when your results are much much better.

Wow these cards come with low stock voltage for the memory chips??
I guess this is a 512mb thing?

On my 7900gs (and I think gt's too?), the stock vddr3 is 2v. I've only got hynix 1.4ns and can push 800 on stock 2.0v. Core on mine doesn't come close though. 580 on 1.2v, 650 on 1.4v.

I have MSI 7900GTO card and this problem: I overclocked the card to 650/1600 (GTX frekvencies),and it was artefact free in all except one game-Gothic 3.Then I flashed the card with GTX bios in hope to solve problem with Gothic 3(before that I backed up my original bios).the GTX bios flashing didin't help(there were artifact in every game) so I flashed with my old bios back.But then came the problem-riva tuner doesn't allow me any more to get the memory frekvency to 1600,the highest I would get is 1440.I removed the test from riva tuner,set mem to 1600 but then artifacts start poping in games :( .I tried everything after that-flashing all various bioses versions,relaxed timings in nibitor but the problem was there.
Does anybody know what is this? Help please!

^There's a reason the memory is specified to run at 1320. Anything more than that is a lottery.

exactly......although its strange that u had 1600MHz before and now its topping out at ~1440MHz.
