That was a big milestone, I don't think we will see 8.xx anytime soon :) Hmm I wonder what clock it was 3d stable ? I guess <5 Ghz , so far nobody reached 5 Ghz at 3D benches, let's say 3DMark01SE with 5 Ghz Conroe, it would be really nice to see :)

Awsome. Congrats.
It is SOOOO sweet, that it was an Intel CPU to do this. :D Intel realy has hit the head on the nail with their Pentium-M arcitecture, and nw they do it again with Conroe. Looking forward to see if there is more improvements in Kentsfield.

Would be interesting to see, if you could squeeze a couple a hundred MHz more out of it with one core disabled. :o

AMD doesn't have anything on the roadmap that would come quickly enough to do this. Maybe K8L will be able to do sub 10s runs but we'll see.

So I've seen some of the x6800's that can't go over 11x. This kind of confirms the boxed version will have more upward multi? Or did I miss something?

i think its just a matter of bios/board, all x6800s have unlocked multis
