That is impressive, indeed. But I thought you could set the FSB in BIOS only to 533MHz?
How did you manage to get 600MHz FSB then?
I hope the P5W DH will also do more than the 400MHz they show in the specs.

The Smart Guardian software might be a clue ... ;) speaking of which, I didn't think it could get any uglier and yet somehow DFI managed to do it. Lol. :DQuote:

Keep up the good work ther ;) ;) ;)
Ps: What f10 do?
Some webshops in Norway has DFI Infinity 975X/G Intel 975X Crossfire listed.
Is that the same board?
save bios and exit :DQuote:

Coolaler thanks for the benchs, this board is just the starting point and looks great, wondering the results with a x1900xtx crossfire
Crazy board, hopefully these boards will be released soon.
600 fsb 1500 ddr2
lololol
I don't have words...

just a post, but posting at 600fsb is quite a featQuote:

i hope to see this mobo in my case
amazing stuff here..
thnx alot coolaler! :toast:
yeah really cool stuff.....but how come on some of your software you have all these weird symbols for the writing :p: :p:
It's Chinese...His sig says Taiwan

Do you have memory that can run at 1506, if you do put it in your rig and then you probably could boot at those settings. :stick:Quote:

do i have a DFI baord ??? nope..
The point is, we haven't even seen a mobo that has an FSB of 600 selectable in its bios and that's what makes that screeny so interesting.
IIRC, FCG had mentioned earlier that DFI had a new board being worked on by Oskar (Wu?). I am inclined to believe him (FCG) when he speaks.Quote:

The info i got yesterday coming from sales dept. in the netherlands pointed the final week of july, let's see what happen at the end, but nevermind let´s see when appears in the USA and who is the nice chap that will buy me one :)
This store in Germany says that it will be released in week 27 http://www.trend4pc.de/product_info....9e26c4db8e2fd2
nice stuff :D
thank for share
Any actual results with higher than 400FSB?
Just read over the last few pages of this thread, the 600fsb screen shot was from a GA-965P-DQ6 right?
no, DFI Infinity 975X, he typed in 600 in fsb, pressed f10 to save and exit bios and took a photo...
Ok.
noQuote:

any word on the release date for this board?
can anyone tell me if the ls clamshell will fit on this board ?

That's true for infinity......
Hm preordered mine yesterday, anyone knows when the official release date is?

Hehe Conroe E6600ES Stepping 5 is on it's way with 2GB G.Skill GBHZ DDR2-800 and a DFI Infinity975x air-cooled by Scythe Ninja. That's gonna be one hella nice system! Man I'm so excited, can't wait any longer!! :D
I'm really curious to see how it will perform in comparism to the new Asus P5W DH.
I want some more info of that 600 Mhz FSB, the gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 also has a 600 Mhz FSB option. But I want to know how high it will go for real.
On DFI's site it says this under product description:
only supports "DDRII-667 Dual channel supports"
so no DDRII-800? I'm confused
of course higher mem speed is supported...by raising fsb ;)
cool!
good results.
A few boards arrive in the USA next week, expect them to sell out fast so if you want one keep an eye on the stores DFI USA seem to push product thru the most ;)
I have one on the way from DFI TW and will report here what i find etc, I did see a new beta bios was posted today, so keep this in mind when you get the board in hand.
T
the 975X chipset does not technically support DDRII-667, however some motherboard manufactures provide it. Looks like DFI didn't add that dividerQuote:

this is from the latest DFI beta bios
I want to use a swifteck apogee block with this motherboard but on the photos it looks like those resistors right next to the socket will be in the way ?
Doesnt look like there should be a problem.
I too have the Apogee..
Im looking at this board, too.. So, hope it does fit :P.
Why are two of the SATA ports colored differently? Don't tell me two ports are on a Silicon Image chip?
Would you give me a hint which e-tailers you might have in mind?Quote:

that looks my new board :) ...just 1 question...does it have the memtest86+ option and the 4 load/save settings options in bios ? ..i have a nf4 sli-dr so cant live without those options in bios anymore :D
Has neither sorry....Quote:

Infinity doesn't but Lanparty will
You can still throw memtest on your HD and start it with a boot loader.Quote:

According to this:

DFI roadmap Intel s775
I forget who it was, but someone in another post said they would. They should have a 975x and ATI RD600 Lanparty boards on the way.
it was FCG. but don't believe everything ppl say here in xs :toast: FCG said the AW8D will support Conroe, too, what was wrong ;)Quote:

Don't think so, the block should be higher. These capacitors seem really low.
Hope so I have one pre ordered :p:
I agree with Sai, that part of the block looks higher than the caps. I hope it works as I'll be putting an apogee on there (with luck).
Ive just had a look at my block and im pretty sure now it will be over those resisters. :toast:
Even i had a good look..Quote:

coolaler,
If it's possible could you run speedfan to show the level of vdroop while running prime95 or some other program you have available?
Edit: I am not looking for anything complex or abstract...just something basic.
Errr well to get any useful values he should use a DMM, anything other is useless.. ;)
damn have to wait for the LP model then..with crossfire, which i never will use....
Ya, and I'll be using a Nvidia card as well :pQuote:

Dunno on the DFI vs P5WDH. *thinks* Some things I like about the DFI, the layout of the SATA connectors and the allowance for double slot wide GPU cards is just intelligent. Asus shouldn't have missed details like that.
But the power connector right where it is, seems poor. I am thinking that power delivery along the shortest route insures cleaner power delivery, but assuming there is a Xifi for pci-e x1 at some future date, that connector gets in the way, and worse, throw say a Ninja cooler and a few fans on there and again that power Connector is a pain.
And why would we still have need for a parallel port? I'll suppose someone does but I'd have been happy with just serial or none, and a few more USB ports put on back there.
I can say with that power connector there, the setups are going to look like spaghetti fast.
So I guess it comes down to that digital pwm, and features. I like the USB bios backup and the SIL 4723 on the Asus so I suppose I'm leaning in that direction.
It would sure be nice if someone would set the two up side by side and just show some parallel tests to give us the "final answers". I'm sure everyone will have different high points they value and won't all choose the same board. But it would be clearer to have all the pros and cons laid out in a single set of testing.
Ty Coolaler for an impressive showing, once again. 谢谢
:)
I have to agree, with my CFX3200-DR the atx power connector is ont the edge of the board, making it a cleaner look, I suppose DFI have their reasons for the move on this board.
It must be due to the improvement having the power closer to it's delivery point of the cpu. I'm just not sure yet if it was worth it.
:)
I honestly see no difference the placement of the Power connector would make. Basic PCB design dictates that you supply power to the components via a power plane, not by an individual trace. A more valid reason would be, the need to seperate digital and analog circuits/sections of the board. Just a thought. :)
Well greater trace length leads to greater inductance, though that can act as a filter of sorts, I guess the tech's no best.
Meh, to me, it's just about the annoyance of a atx power connector stretching across the board.Quote:

Yes more testing of course is what we all need. And yes I don't want to run the main power all the way across the mobo either. That is really bugging me.
...
sry to say but nvidia claims that there is not bandwith enough for nf5 boards on the intel platform....so none nforce5 intel ed. on 975.......perhaps in the future...thats anyway what admins are saying on dfi-street...so no DFI nf5 for intel.Quote:
