Thx Metroid, added them :)
Someone sticky this thread.
And clean out some of the old stickies, while you're at it :)
Intel section is going ALL OUT CONROE very shortly...
No way...Quote:

Interesting, what whould be OC higher - new 975x or P965 mobo's...
Too early version of RD600 to be real preformance.Quote:

I thought the 965 chipset didn't allow for that.
It looks like a sweet board. 8 phase power, heatpipe dealie, plenty of PCI, DDR2-800 support, and it's ASus! This may be my Core 2 Duo board of choice.
I don't think the board is wired for 2x16 electrically. Just as the Badaxe has 3 x 16 slots, but first is wired for 16, second for 8 and the last is wired for 4...
Has there been any prices announced and if not does any one know when they will be?

P5WDG2-WS Pro Conroe Support Confirmed :) (with pretty copper heatsinks :))
Looks like we wont be seeing updates of the normal P5WDG2-WS or P5WD2-E after all :( Just the P5WDG2-WS Pro and the P5W DH

lol... this is just great. I'm even going to upgrade my office rig which does nothing but Quickbooks, UPS and web access to Conroe. I want to reward Intel for being so PWNEROUS.
the cooling on the asus NB sure looks alot beefier than the ones on the DFI's; i wonder if that would result in different max fsb's
How nice that there are numerous mATX boards already. It will make my recent Aspire X-Qpack one kick-ass rig.
http://images.akida.net/www.akida.ne...ACK-BK-401.jpg
I was going to watercool it, might even add a peltier for some silent sub-zero action. :D
Fun stuff.
Just make sure to change out the PSU in that Aspire. Its kind of a pile.
I dont know if this was already posted, but an SLI or Crossfire mobo that is uatx? When conroe is released, im gonna make a small form factor PC and I want either crossfire (recomended) or sli. I know only EVGA made a small form factor SLI board.
thanks.

Why does the AW9D has that Fatal1ty crap :( Hoping for an AW9D-MAX WTHOUT that. Otherwise the Asus P5WD2-E Premium with 8 phase power will be my Conroe board I guess unless something better all of a sudden pops up :D

With all these black PCB's coming out, it's like Henry Ford once said, "You can have any colour you want, as long as it's black."
I must say, motherboard manufacturers are getting much better at colour co-ordinating their mobo's, with the exception being the DFI Infinity's. They look like puke!
Wait, this isn't ExtremelyPrettySystems, is it? :(
Are the NF5 mounting holes the same as the NF4?
Thx guys for to post, Firsts post is updated again :)
You still can, as we actually can on P5WD2 mobos, since that caps are good for intel inbox cooler, and ninja has the same compatibility that inbox cooler in terms of "socket clearance". The caps keep down the retention ninja bracket.Quote:

Thanks!!!
excelent thread
thx for the infoss ;) ;)
FLMJIGGY, thx, but normally all those asrock boards should support Conroe :)
Want Core 2 Duo board ?
http://www.matbe.com/images/biblio/c...0000040651.jpg
The AMD Fan boys that started the rumor saying Core 2 Duo would be pushed back because of no Motherboard Manufacturer are ready.... yea sure...
Nice pic
whats the deal with processors and motherboards anyway, theres more than 3 times as many mobos as cpu's !!!!
newegg
amd, 296 mobos, 86 cpus
Intel, 273 mobos, 71 cpus
i gues its because theres only 2 cpu manufactures and about 20 mobo manufacturers, i dont know how you guys keep up with all the mobos
Choose your brand then choose the feature you want..Quote:

ill be keeping a very close eye on this thread :). ive got a pentium D coming that only cost me 100$, so im gonna use that temporarily, then sell it to my bro, but i dont want to have to buy/switch 2 mobo's, so im waiting till i have a for sure conroe board, until then, stupid pentium 4 2.4C.
[H] says the DFI CFX1150/G will be matx, buts it is listed as ATX here.
Who guessed right?
I hope [H] is right, cause right now there is shit for Conroe support in the matx area.
EDIT:
Anyone have a more detailed picture album of the wall of motherboards? Some interesting matx/mbtx looking boards whoms names I do not know...
I wonder how many cameras were directed at that wall?
*yoink!* :D

@Skyline: you sure that Gigabyte will release that much boards (only seen one 946 up to now)? so many with the same chipset oO seems stupid to me! and: do you have further Infos (pics) of the MSI with nVidia Chipset?
ok
http://www.hkepc.com/hwdb/c19xeultra-2.htm
^^
hm oO no Core 2 Duo in Supported CPUs List!
Am I right in getting a mobo with an Intel chipset?
The last four mobo's I've had have all had a lot of quirks, and they where all based on NVIDIA (god I hate their GPU drivers) and ATI.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but OC'ing with these boards have not been pleasant at all (my PSU's have all been very stable).
yes, for sure! best configuration is Intel CPU + Intel Chipset. and the 975 is fully stable, so you're no "beta" tester ;)Quote:

atm 1 vs 11 ??????
Friend of mine will be getting a e6300 to replace his slow sempron but what could he get that should be reasonably priced mobo??? Kinda stupid to buy a 183.00 proc and put it into a 300.00 mobo , when he won't be OCing it very much.
didnt some 1 shoot pictures of the dfi boards?
well, you must keep in mind that the AM2 CPUs are available now, too. the Conroe not ;)Quote:

and actually, the Bad Axe is available, too.
that makes 2 vs 11, before the CPUs are released. I think that's better than only 11 with CPUs available.
Still wondering about this, can't seem to find pics of the board.

Some of the boards have 6 or 8 pins instead of 4...... We need new PSU?
One think I will miss of AMD is that they had a chipset for a long time. Intel always changing annoying.
I think I am going for the new revision of the P5WD2-E Premium, same as the P5W DH Deluxe, like the 8 phase power regulators, but without the extras i don't need... Like the wireless stuff or the remote control...
Looks interesting, able to find any info on it?Quote:
