Congrats Tam , man i really like seeing results going higher and higher eah day , this means 3.5 should be doable on air without to much work ? 14s superpi on 24/7 rig on air *drooling* happy days are here :toast: :D

dont think i ever made an upgrade before that gave me over 50% more power

How about steppings on intel ? are we going to be chasing good steppings on intel as well ?

By TAM

Unable to get modPI 1M @ over 5G tonight due to some condenser blew up near the socket @1.74Vcore before SPi completion:(
Luckily the CPU is OK... Oh well, have to find a new M/B, which can take over 1.8Vcore:D

So today's best:

From 3 to 4 ghz it gained 4.3 secs ... from 4 to 5 , just 2.3 secs .
Maybe with a faster board we'll see easily the magic 9 .

I don't think they ever got it running at 5GHz. They were going to try but the condensor blew up and damaged the motherboard just before they were going to try.

Sorry, actually SPi was running at 5G+ and he thought it would complete but blew up before that.

We have also CAL930-- I love so much his OC style-- he will always push to the extreme limit without any fears of wrecking his components:D
Usually, TAM, OMEGA, recently Tarosa, kyosen & CAL930 are leading OCers;)

I wish I could get Conroe soon but still need a lot to learn with my Yonah T2600 as this is my second Intel CPU:D

Even DDR doesn't reach that, DDR2 nominal values are 12, and DDR fastest is 5.
