congrats, that's INSANE!!
Christ. 'New' architecture but the typical intel oc-headroom is still there. Amazing.
Damn 10sec..it is too damn fast these records are breaking every day it seems when is the madness going to stop..hopefully it doesn't;) Great work though!!
Conroe sure likes SuperPi :D
Nice! :toast:
New WR!
Well.. what can i say.. Nice CPU :)
Congrats Tam , man i really like seeing results going higher and higher eah day , this means 3.5 should be doable on air without to much work ? 14s superpi on 24/7 rig on air *drooling* happy days are here :toast: :D
dont think i ever made an upgrade before that gave me over 50% more power
How about steppings on intel ? are we going to be chasing good steppings on intel as well ?
sorry about the ot but im a happy oc'er today :D
Conroe shure likes every benchmark these guys throw at it :DQuote:

On 2nd thought, the propect of 24/7 usage of this on air cooling seems very tempting ... =D
Soon PI 2M will be the default :D
DAMN it fast ... very fast
Newbie Question
but how he did overclock for Intel mobo ? with clockgen ?
thanks :\
LOL yeah 2m... Damn this is fast
Damn how could I miss this until now eeeek
TAM that's what I've waited for the last 2 days - amazing milestone and I smell single digit coming :woot:
go go go more :slobber:
Truelly and utterly amazing!! :o
No WR today ??
probably have to skip 2M at this rate... :DQuote:

Unable to get modPI 1M @ over 5G tonight due to some condenser blew up near the socket @1.74Vcore before SPi completion:(
Luckily the CPU is OK... Oh well, have to find a new M/B, which can take over 1.8Vcore:D
So today's best:

You are so close to that magic number. Good luck to you team Japan

wow that is freakishly fast!!!! :slapass: :woot:  :stick:
that is new world record right???
but watch out for Coolaler, he'll soon be there :)
oh and nice chart there iteration, its always nice to have some keep track of things
Yes that is definitely a new record.
Haha oh man single digit is sooooooooo close!
:toast:
:eek2:
o m f g
that's nuts, congrats on that :banana::banana::banana::banana:in score!!!
hot poop, my eyes!
From 3 to 4 ghz it gained 4.3 secs ... from 4 to 5 , just 2.3 secs .
Maybe with a faster board we'll see easily the magic 9 .
10.3s @4.99GHZ now - 5 GHZ verified not seen yet, board blow out as I read, but sooooo awesome what this guy did in the last days...
This guy:confused:Quote:

my my. that is a darn good time there. nice job!
puts my 42s to shame really...
what was the time of sp1m at 5ghz? before the mobo blew up?
awsome results
I don't think they ever got it running at 5GHz. They were going to try but the condensor blew up and damaged the motherboard just before they were going to try.
Holy crap, I just realized that the Intel based WR for SuperPi_1M is now twice as fast as the WR for AMD systems.
this stuff is getting out of hand....i love it
new records fall every day
Thanks:toast:Quote:

Sorry, actually SPi was running at 5G+ and he thought it would complete but blew up before that.
I have to clarify that we, at Team Japan, never and ever bench together;)Quote:

Japaneese OCers never cease to amaze me. The mixture of skill and dedication you guys have is huge :fact:
Whenever I see screenshots from TAM, you Fred, New Beetle, OMEGA, memesama, Duck, kyosen and others I know there is a WR cooking :)
Awesome job TAM and thanks for sharing :toast: Do you have Conroe ready for some freezeing as well, Fred? :D
And they have the best names :D
I think it will need 5.2Ghz or so to creep into the nines ... who will be the first person ever to break that milestone ?
Excellent work TAM :toast:
Regards
Andy
Thanks so much Michal:toast:Quote:

Usually, TAM, OMEGA, recently Tarosa, kyosen & CAL930 are leading OCers;)
I wish I could get Conroe soon but still need a lot to learn with my Yonah T2600 as this is my second Intel CPU:D
Cheers:toast:
Fred
Thanks very much Andy:toast:Quote:

I'm happy to hear the chip survived.

i can't put it into words so here's some pictures! :woot: :slobber: :eek2:
haha.. all from a ES.
Let me ask, how is 4-3-3-2 timings done?? Not the first 3 values, but the last value: 2
Even DDR doesn't reach that, DDR2 nominal values are 12, and DDR fastest is 5.
That's beyond my highest expectations.
Conroe is a turning point in benching history that makes you look back and remember the fall of 2003 where K8 hit the street.
One word, Woodcrest. :rolleyes:Quote:
