i can hit 1600 CL6 @ 6-8-6-21-72 T1 just fine... but anything over the stock 1866 just gives me problem after problem. at first it thought it was uncore issues but my cpu boots just fine even when i force uncore to 4200... but when it comes to the memory it just doesn't care to work with me.
Take the CAS 6 DDR3-1600 option. The CAS time is simply too slow at CAS 10/11 DDR3-2000 to compete with that on any level - the bandwidth won't make up for it.Quote:

Yes, lower is better. In your case after seeing the differences id go to cas6 and then get your highest stable speed then and bench. You'd probably blow my results out of the water sense your sticks are cl8 to begin with, mine start at cl9 and like stagered timings.

My GT's suck big time. I see people with the same RAM (CMT6GX3M3A2000C8 ) showing some nice results. Mine doesn't even post with CR 1T or CL7 after ~1850mhz :(

The Thunderbolt card uses a PCIe slot. Most decent add-in peripheral cards are now available in PCIe flavor, so it makes sense to utilize the tech exclusively on a flagship product.Quote:

Try BIOS 1301. The tRL fucntion was added to BIOS 003 at my behest as an experiment to see if manual offsets were required to prevent memory channels dropping out. By default the tRL values are auto set and should default to the correct value without the need for user intervention.Quote:

tRL's have been kinda useful, not a HUGE difference but it did help on a few settings. going over +3 or -3 would normally result in a complete drop of whatever channel it was set to, but it still helped on my channel B drop out issues.
Those dropout issues could also have been due to insufficient training duration or pushing the memory too far. Try 1301 with speeds your memory and IMC is capable of running and see how you get on.Quote:
