@ emoners - Thanks. I had to cut the bottom part of the HDD cage so the card (with waterblock) could slide through.
I see we have the same case, nice build you have there too :)

Looking at all these systems makes me want to trash my set up and start a new build. I was gonna wait for the Ivy Bridge chips to come out, but why wait? Ivy Bridge will be LGA 1155, so I can put together a SB system now and just swap out the CPU to an Ivy Bridge once they're released and not have to worry about buying a new mobo.
I was going to buy a SSD drive for my current pc, but thats probably just a waste of $
Sorry.....I just realized that I'm having a conversation with myself. But I definitely just convinced myself to start buying the components for a new build.
I just hope I can get my system to look as clean and slick as some of the ones seen in this forum. There are some bad-ass rigs here.
A midi LianLi PC-7B PlusII case
housing a P67 Sabertooth, Intel 2600k, GTX470 and 16gb Corsair Vengeance RAM
custom watercooled for silent office use mostly...
featuring discrete case modifications and full satin black powder coating
lots of 18k gold plated parts,
waterjet cut custom parts and logos
and a big acrylic sidepanel for a wide view of the interior
(worklog in progress)

Four beauties in a row!
SlackerXL, your case is the new definition of "bling". So much gold...
Hey SlackerXL, Did you make those feet stands?
ProStock, just sleeve the cables with red and black and you've got perfection!
what case is that?
@3dchipset
yeap
the first attempt of making these was made using aluminum disks
but the gold plating on that material was not what i expected so i used polished inox instead
each one consists of four separate disks
two 45mm gold plated inox disks
a 40mm black powder coated disk in the middle
and a thin 25mm disk to fit between the feet and the case as a spacer
a M6 countersunk allen screw passes through the disk sandwich and is secured inside the case either on a threaded hole or with the use of a nut
at the end, the bottom disk gets a self adhesive rubber ring to ensure no vibrations transfer on to the floor and no traces are carved on the lacquer (if you put the case on a desk)

That's awesome man... Very creative!
Super smexy! The best gold looking rig I've ever seen! (Some beautiful copper ones out there but never and gold or at least tasteful ones)
@Prostock - I agree, get some braided cable in there, even if it's just some Bitfenix extensions. Will that hose just not flex enough either? Those coils are the only other thing that spoils this image...
at least you are not missing cooling power.. ;d

In the process ......very soon!

a bit overkill for my taste but impressive nonetheless
are both koolance variable vid connectors on the vga waterblocks necessary?
do your cards appear to have similar thermal behavior?
does the coolant in these waterblocks flow in an equal and sufficient way filling all the available area?
As much as I love the Red-Black theme ( mostly used on Asus ROG M/B owners ) i find this UD7 attractive enough.... Personally would have gone with a liitle less redish setup but ...your pc-your taste...
The whole setup though is a KILLER. Grats on that..
My setup posted downbelow was completed with the greatly appreciated help of SlackerXL from Greece and a few other local modders who i really thank for their advice and help.... A bit crappy though as it was my first attempt in watercooling and modding in general (we all have made mistakes at first attempts)... More to come as i am waiting my Z68 platform setup and my 2 x GTX580 to come....Here's a taste....Your opinions are always welcome and needed...

Yet another addition to the MPC series.
This time based on a CM HAF-X 942 , this German WWII themed case mod features an ambush camouflage pattern, a custom watercooling loop and lots of matching details both in the interior and exterior.
The interior of the case was fitted with a few extra parts and got some basic weathering painting techniques to achieve that worn metal industrial look while maintaining its functionality and cooling performance with no compromise
