by the way...does anyone kno what voltage these 2GBZX's can handle?? 2.9V ?? 3.0V ?? my DFI motherboard allows me to take this ram to bizarre voltages...i'm talking higher than +3V...altho i don't know if i want to do that....

here's my screen shot:: this is for 9/10 divider with 236MHz FSB. Timings are at 2.5-3-2-5.

can you check your a64 settings with mine?? the only thing I change when I go to 260Mhz DRAM FSB 1:1 is the Cas latency. I will have to up to 3-3-2-5 in order to boot with 260MHz FSB DRAM....but like i said, games won't play...just hang.

I am on a divider now but other then that, these are the settings I used in the ss above.

I would not run anymore then 2.8v thru them. At 260+ I use 2.7+.02.

Edit: I just notice that your using a 3800. I had a 3800 and the memory controller was no where as good as an opty. That may be the difference.

Just got my ZX kit in today. Had to let them warm up to room temp for a bit before I could install them cuz Fedex lets them sit in the cold. :) But this is what I"m doing so far, haven't tweaked anything yet. Just set for the same speed as my last set that was in but changed some timings, set manually 2.5 3-3-6 with divider for 241 speed on the ram. All the rest is auto. If anyone has some suggestions to set any of the timings please post me an A64Tweaker screen or a list of your settings.

Hi guys, today i recived this memories (2x1gb gskill zx) .

I have a lot of problems, i can´t put the mems over 200fsb, with any vdimm or any timmings/alphas.

One thing so strange. I run windows at 220x11 2.5-3-3-5 2.6v, superpi 1mb/8mb/32mb don´t run over 1 sec, always crash. Then , 2 minutes ago, i run one superpi 32 mb and do all the test stable, then i run 1mb superpi and don´t run more than 1 sec again...... Is so strange.

You're not giving your cpu much voltage, try increasing vcore a little and see if that makes a difference. The higher density sticks are a little tougher on the mem controller in the A64. See if that helps out a little.

Is not a problem of vcore, my sandy 3700 do 2600mhz at default vcore. I´m desesperated T_T

Okay system specs:

4000+ A64 SD
DFI NF4 SLI DR
2GB GSKILL ZX
7800GTX
120GB WD SATA

Well my problem.... I installed this memory yesterday running everything stock at 2.6Vdimm. Now I copied some information...well big files...from a cd, and my system will just reset and start up again, only to do the same thing when I try to copy the same stuff. Replaced the memory with my old Mushkin Special's and no problem. I installed the ZX again and run SuperPI 32M and it bombs out after about 1 to 5 seconds....... I run the memtest in the BIOS for about 6 Hours with no problem, and all the settings for the memory in the BIOS was an auto.

Any ideas what to do.... Oh the bios is the 623-3 bios for the mobo....

Ok but your memory controller is on the CPU and now with 2GB of memory, which is difficult on the CPU - vcore would be the first thing I would try. Try to loosen the memory timings a bit - they may not be able to run 2-3-2-5 @ 220. Try 2.5-3-6-3 for now...

New image, 210 2.5-3-3-5 2.6v Not stable..., so strange.
I can run windows at 255 fsb (not stable), but can´t get stable only 210??, something wront here i think.

Note2: At more vdimm, more inestability.

i'm in the market for a set of 2x1gb for my system and these seem interesting;

i would like to get them to around 255 at cas 3 (2.5 would be even better) but my real question is : have these been tested with an A8N-sli deluxe ? Too bad I (re)discovered these forums a bit late as it is clear i should've gone with the dfi-flavoured boards :).

any idea where you can get them in belgium-holland-germany for a reasonable price ?

rest of system: 3700+ SD currently running @ 2805 mhz (11x255) but my corsair 3200LL seems to be holding me back (using a 166 divider) so running mem at or around 400ddr 2-2-2-5 :nono: ; won't go much higher than that, even on looser timings

2t is only in these screens.

Now is "stable" at 240 2.5-3-""3""-5 2.6-->this 3 is important, at 2 always reboot.

But i can´t go over 240, i prove the some setting at 2.7v & 2.8 and can´t do over 240. Then i prove 3-3-3-5 2.6/2.7v with some problem.

have you tested one bank of ram for time?

I got mine they sit happy at 250 5,2,3,2.5 at 2.8v I havent tried lowering the voltage yet :)

dont know your location but hz is same price as hs at newegg. both are going for $199.

thanks for the tip sn_85 , but sadly im in taiwan ...yeah where the gskill is coming from.... and i have to pay 254$ for the 2gbhz and 220$ for the 2gbhs....kinda sickening to hear you guys over in the us have a way better bargain ;)

I can't get them to boot at higher speeds than this, running on 2.8v:

If I were you I would first start without ANY divider, just to see how far you can go. Also, you should use different settings in BIOS as it looks like you literally have EVERYTHING in there set to AUTO - not always good ;)
Take a look at my screens here or those posted by G.S Technician in this very thread we're in. Then we can see what can be done next :)

I set it to auto recently, as I got pissed off since it wouldn't boot. I'll check tomorrow how high I can go tomorrow, gotta get up early, last day of school :woot:!

Yes, the some result than two modules at time.

you might want to try my seting on the 1st page, of cuz you need to just a bit some of the timing. some of your setting are way off then mine. let me know
