Hey guys, just started Sentential's burn in method,running near my max overclock (on asetek waterchill, yeh distinctly un-Xtreme for these forums :) ), after an overnight burn in its removed 0.034 volts in BIOS (0.025 increment with 136% over VID setting)
**Edit** Better say what the CPU actually is, its a CABGE0516TPAW. It now boots into windows at 2.5GHz with stock voltage, something it would never do before.

how are your temps under load? And what do you define as stable? I don't consider 1m to be stable.

I don't run the machine 24/7 and i certainly don't run prime. It does 3D at 3280~ and other benches at 3330~ or higher. Being that it is not a daily machine, stability isn't as important to me as my daily rig. It's on a Mach II unmodded, temps with 1.7v are evap -50 idle, -39 load, cpu is around -18 idle, -10 loaded or somewhere there abouts. My 3500+ Venice is very similar to this chip, did just about the exact same clocks. Any other info you want?

Priming @ 280×10, 1.65V. Temps (WC) are very good (45°C full load) compared to my Venice with these roomtemps! 25°C +

Here are two pics of my Venice running 2800 and my San Diego also at 2800 on the same machine. Both 100% stable. Note the Vcore needed for the Venice compared to SD. However the SD is not 100% stable even at 1.6V and much hotter..

Just to my my last statement clearer... :-) San Diego will run much faster than the Venice but is NOT 100% stable at the higher speeds. Both are Prime stable at 2800 but the Venice needs more Vcore but also give off less heat.... go figure ! :stick:
I will try to stablelise it at 2900 later.

Sucka, I have exact same stepping as you and cooled on a MachII as well and I'm bench '01 at EXACTLY the same - 3285mhz. I can do superpi @ 3339 and my best superpi is 24.7. Interesting to know that this cpu seems to be a pretty consistent performer.Quote:

Download A64 tweaker to adjust ram timings. Make sure you've got at least 3.2v pumping throught that ram. I have a post somewhere in this thread that gives a screenie of my redline timings in a64.

Dumo, I think that's the fastest 90nm superpi I've seen so far. My best is 24.7 @ 3339MHZ. Good job. Maybe the fx's are just a little better clockers

using 310 official bios for these runs and a vaillia gigabyte 6600
sandra benches at 250x8 with 2.5 3 3 7, 1t = 6323, 2t yielded only 5771
1t 2001se 3dmark's @ 2.5-3-3-7 250x9 = 16,128
1t 2001se 3dmark's @ 2.5-3-3-7 205x11 = 15780
(not exactly the same mhz, but you can deff. see the difference in 3dmarks)
the purpose of this was to see if there was actually any effect that htt spd had on gaming performance and 1t vs 2t, that was really all the info I needed for this cpu to know what I needed to have for htt spd and 1t or 2t. After the fresh install, I will do 3dmark runs of highest 2 2 2 @ 1t, then see how much 2.5 3 3 at 2t of htt I will need to get roughly the same 3dmark score, if you do a search, someone else has alrdy done this, but I need to do this for my system :) Then I'll know exactly what's what for tccd and utt, as these are the 2 sets of ram everyone is comparing.
