Newegg was running a special on 4000+ san diego chips with biostar t-force 6100 boards. My dfi lanparty nf4 died, so i picked a combo up.
Does 3.0ghz on 1.45v under an old xp120 ? cooler. Only primestable for 1 hour though.
Nice clocks you got there. I've got two being delivered today from the Jersey Warehouse. What stepping is that chip?Quote:

It's just on air.
These new chips are clocking the hell out of the old ones.. I'm going to have to try very hard to get above 3.3g on dice with min.. and thats a cabge 0516 tpaw.

funkflix what stepping is that?
coolasus i can do the same boxcooler, at 1.35Vcore :D
i thought only the new Athlon 4000 - E6 Stepping Model - Toledo was able to run at 1.35v?
can the E4 Stepping Model also run at 1.35v with a 10 % Overclocking??
By the way..as i am a noob in this: Can it be dangerous for the health of the CPU to run it at a too LOW voltage?? Or just system crash?
It is a 0630CPMW. :)Quote:

Not sure if anyones particularly interested, but this is my 3700+ SanDiego. It's an older 05 stepping, and bought in second hand in August.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ E4
Code: ADA3700DAABN
Stepping: KAB2E 0532 XPMW

It's 32M stable at that voltage but needs 1.375V set in BIOS for it to be totally stable. Temperatures aren't too great though. Might invest in a Freezer 64 Pro or better at some point. Been swapping between stock cooler and Akasa Evo 120. Temperatures with the two are about the same.
Mul
Can just result in instability. :)Quote:

Expect something around 2900-3050MHz with 1,4-1,6V. ;)
This was my one, with air:
