I can't seem to get mine stable past 260 1:1, but I can SPi 1M all the way up to 2930 if i use dividers. It seems the more mhz I get, the worse the memory controller does :(
When I start overclocking, I always use the memory divider that's like 5:6 or something just so I can make SURE that my memory isn't limiting. Then I start searching for the highest HTT at the highest multiplier. After I do that, I bring the multi down a notch and start searching again...Quote:

what're your temps ackbar?
At 1.58 V (what it takes to get 2600 Prime stable)...Quote:

Cooling is XP-120 on Palaflo medium speed model at 12V.
I think my temps are good. I always get bad CPUs... my last Winchester could only do 2350 (semi-stable) at 1.6V! In contrast, I can do less volts and get much higher speeds with this CPU, so I'm somewhat happy.
hmm.. well ur temps are up there, could just be that it needs more voltage to get past 2600mhz, but ur temps get 55+, and then you start to lose stability.
Well, I have tried everything..... different volts, tweaking mem timings... I cant get this CAA2C 0506 BPMW to prime at stock speeds or any speed for that matter.
But not priming at stock speed is grounds for RMA. Back she goes .... unless anybody has any ideas?
That sounds like you got a bad chip clockedOut. Maybe yours is a 3500+ speed DUD not just a "failed" FX-55
yeah thats the luck of the draw.... I think I will just send it back and do what I should have done and wait for Venice.
My current 3500 newcastle is doing 300x9 with 1.7 vcore, not great but not to bad.
Temp probe on the cpu says 40c max.
I'd consider that damn good. Honestly, with all the poor overclockers I've been getting lately, I find it hard to sympathize with anyone that says that he/she can only get to 2700. Unless that's on phase!Quote:

in w2k with ricky and directX 8.1... tried an X850 XT (conservative OC for 3D03 and stock for 3D01) this time:

i'm not connected to the internet on my rig with the sledge/claw just yet. but with a machI @r507 i was able to get like 3.18 superpi1M stable for 27secs, with TCCD at 318. i'll have pics up in a couple hours. my evap was reading -36, with cpu temps at around -12C according to bios, i think i had about 1.85 running through it.
That's awesome! You've got a good chip there!Quote:

Just what I have Chew -- going 300 MHz fsb now on my MSI Neo4 Platinum SLI(K8N Diamond) 1:1 with GSkill LA. A great chip! Going in your Abit that helps crappy Winchesters?Quote:

Great, good bargain these chips.Quote:

so here is my pic

that isn't the setting i'm running at right now. for some reason my TCCD is being really funky, so i was only able to run it for like an hour before it constantly restarts my pc. it was actually done at like 3.18ghz with 318DDR 2.5-4-3-7. i think maybe my bios is slightly screwed up or something, because suddenly my TCCD is incredibly unstable. I think i'm going to be buying some VX, and hopefully i can get 26 seconds.
right now i have my memory at 1/2 of 282HTT. its centon value with nanya sticks, absolute crap, they can't even run at like 180FSB, and yet they are supposed to be 200. but its the 3rd time i've RMA'd the memory, so i'm not going to waste my time with them anymore.
You're running a XP-120 with 1.85V??!! Holy     !!! You've got some balls! What kinda temps are you getting and what fan are you using??Quote:
