Yea, works fine from others posts.Quote:

Why do you need 1.65V on 3.3GHz CPUs? I have around 10 rigs running at 3.3GHz+ on 1.5V - 1.6V bios, 1.42-1.55 actual, full load 24/7 with no problems. No vcore or Vdroop mods.Quote:

I know this question sounds really dumb but trying to get back into the crunching game and well are xeons dual core? Roughly how many daily cands can this xeon cruncher put out?

About 280 to 340/day, w both processors. We run 4 instances of D2OL on 'em, 2 per CPU.
the 280-340 cands a day is that with the 1.6ghz or the overclock 2.6?
I think those nubers would be overclocked 3.0-3.4 range depending on cooling.
My average is 290 running at 3.2
Dual 3.6Ghz puts out some cands.... :D
Hi again.
I have been using my dually for a month or so and it is a very quite system.
The system:
Xeon 2.0 LV @ 2.95 stock voltage (SL6XL)
Cooler Master E3W-NPTXS-04 passive heatpipes
Asus NCCH-DL
Forton 550watt ESP psu
4 x OCZ 512MB platinum (2GB ram)
ATI 9600se, 128MB
Thermaltake Armor Black case
an ancient 3GB HD (i think its a Quantum, lol. Files are on the server anyway)
LG DVD-R dual-layer
I have inverted the air flow of the rear 12cm fan of the Armor case, so it blows directly on to the heatpipes. I also installed a 9cm over the chipset so it moves air over it and the memories. I also installed the top 9cm fan so it pulls the hot air out faster. All in all, it is a very quite system.
Benchmarks
The dual Xeon 2.0 LV @2,95GHz cracks 5,2Mkeys on the www.distributed.net client. (sorry guys, I am hooked)
My single AMD Barton 2600XP+ @170 bus, cracks 7,2Mkeys. (This one kicks some serious a**)
My AMD64 3000+ @219 bus, cracks 7,8Mkeys.
When I will find some time I will do the cpu V-mod and I will try with the 1.6 LV Xeons also.
Has anyone tried running tccd and no vdimm mod ?
I have 2 sticks of patriot laying around that would help with the next machine.I will be running 200fsb 2-2-2-5.
If I need to mod it I will.
All my other machines are running bh5 and are modded.
Big_Deel, note my sig...that is 2GB of TCCD at 2.8V.
Dual Intel P4 2.4Ghz LV Xeons (SL74T) @ 3655Mhz (17x215) | Iwill DH800 Ver. 1.2 | 2GB (4x512MB) OCZ PC3200 EL Platinum Rev2 DDR @ 2-2-2-5 | Sapphire X850XT PE AGP | Creative Labs SoundBlaster Audigy2 ZS | 3ware 9500S-4LP SATA RAID card w/256MB cache | 2x36GB WD SATA Raptor 10K RPM 8MB cache (RAID 0) | 4x120GB WD1200JD Cavar SE (RAID 5) | Custom Lian-Li PC-70 | PCP&C Turbo-Cool 510 ATX PFC
Yes, in my one system I'm using some patriot tccd with no mod at 2-2-2-5. Works fine with the stock 2.5v.Quote:

Yeah. I'm running some GSkill. At 140FSB! :) It does over 310 in my modded Epox NF3.Quote:

Thanks
Find the pins on the board that are marked for the power switch and connect them with something (screw drivers, jumper, etc)
jjcom
just pull two wires of an old case and put them on the pins you'd normally attach the power switch lead to. then just cross the other ends when you need to fire it up.Quote:

thanks
Will give it a try
KaptainBlaZzed, why does it say under your real time farm progress that each comp only has 1000 quene size?? U should set it to 2000, just so IF the upload server is offline, u have enough to last for about 15 or so days.
Will change the que size in a few.
my new DX rig will not make it into windows??:(
Install went OK but every time windows is about to load the monitor turns off but the computer stays on???
What could be the problem?? Everything is at stock
1.6GHz LV XEON SL6XK
ASUS PC-DL
2 x 256 mb PC3200 Patriot LLK 2.5Volt (2-3-2-5)
Sparkle 460W EPS PSU
Radeon 9200
What speed your RAM running at? Try loosening the timings...maybe it's not getting enough volts. Check your voltages on the PSU and for your RAM
