Good info Jethro -- what's next for ya?

2 important criteria in my search are mucho vcore avail in bios or by widespread mods and it has to work with OCZ DDR booster cuz i really dig this thing :D (my tccd really like volts)

Im think im gonna get the Abit AV8 after all. It was my first choice back when 1.0's were out but now that its 1.1 im sold more so.
I has 1.85vcore, NB voltage adjustment and my last VIA based abit board just plain kicked ass.
Wow, that was my first choice too but reading about issues scared me off. Think it's fixed primo now? I love my Abit nforce 2 boards.
I went ahead and ordered the AV8 and an OEM 3200+ wish me luck! THe abit NF7 was a stellar board no doubt. My Kv7 was just plain awesome to so i think i can finesse the AV8 the right way.
mmm 1.85 vcore! :D
Great!
Im planning to use this board 9x300++ (166 divider) Can it handle high fsb?

never made it above 290 stable. Its a much better clocker than my abit AV8 is so far. Good luck with it!
I did 284 1:1 with GSkill LA but my Epox is better.
I keep hearing bad things about this mobo, what're the chances of me getting 11x270-290 with bh5 (using a divier if higher than 265). Would like to get 3000mhz+ is that gonna be hard with this mobo?
Mine doesn't like BH-5, TCCD OK.
270-290 with BH-5 ?Quote:

Even 265 is pretty high.
My K8NS did like 225- 230 I think ( 2x256 XMS3500)1:1,DC, 5-2-2-2 @ 2.85v or whatever the max was on that board.
Better get ready to RAM some high voltage down those sticks...
And pray into the cooling fan.
My ram is good to 265mhz with 3.6v, if I go to 270-290mhz I'd be using a divider. I'm not questioning whether the ram can do it. And the processor should beable to handle it too (3500+ sledgeclaw). So it's up to the board. I'll be giving them up to 3.6v for 24/7 use, the ram will take it fine, no worries there, just wondering if the board can.
edit: same ram in my sig right now, don't know how the ram will do dual channel, but if the ram isn't a factor, can the board take it?
Dunno bro, never tried to ram that much voltage with that board.
DC will be more difficult though.
GL with it.

The ultra version might if you get a later A2 chipset -- I doubt the earlier version will.
Well hope I do then :( I'll do cap mods or w/e I'll need that would help. Any ideas?
edit: btw, sent it to newegg to be rma'd last week, so I should get a replacement by thisweekend I hope. I'll let you guys know, not sure if it'll be new, or a crappy newegg previously refurbed board :(

Was it ur bh5 or the board tho? I know my bh5 can do 265mhz+ single channel no problemQuote:

I was wondering to do vcore mod to my GB K8NSU. If someone has done it, how does it work. Can you boot example with 1.8vcore?
And what is best bios for BH5 sticks?
