That would make sense as it has the most direct connection to the FB pin on LM324.
Out of morbid curiousity, is there a connection between R456 or C715 as well?

Seems like the AGP/PCI locks are working with SetFSB.
it's possible I ve got a gigabyte Nf3 939 MB today to compare.

BTW, all, BIOS 1005.21 rocks! At least for me it does! My only issue with the mobo now is Vdimm mod.
great thanks. I'd rather have ocz 3700EB at 3-2-3-5 than XL at 2.5-3-2-5 at the same speed but the ocz's damn near non existant.
ive gone up as high as 275HTT, 280HTT doesnt work but my temps are way to high. 40c/28c idle with 26.5~27c room temps:( and thats stock. Hopefully i'll get a reply about rads from soulsend at mhq and jp will ship my v5 today.
Just received the replacement board since the last one freezes everytime I enabled the AGP/PCI lock. The new one's serial no. is 46MGH1XXXX.
Will update the BIOS with 1005.021 and see if this one is trouble free with the lock. Wish me luck guys!!
228 at 2-3-2-5, but this FX53 is throwing random freezes at any speed on this board. I guess the FX53 issues remain even with 021 bios.Quote:

Disable your agp/pci locks and and set to 1000HT check sisoft sandra to see if you have the reported 2x1000(2000 double data rate) that you should have. Then reset your locks without change'n ldt and see if you still have the reported 2x1000HT. Mine drops to 2x800 with the locks enabled.

The 260HTT is not 2:1 (1:1). My Corsair XL won't get there with any kind of decent timings and my stock 2.8v. The best she can do at 2.0-2-2-5 @ 2.8v is 225. Above that and until 250 it needs 2.5-3-2-5. I haven't tried for more as I am not interested in looser timings than that.

This may just be coincidence, but I've noticed that people who have serial numbers beginning with "45MG0J" seem to be having fewer problems.
Did you guys with the FX53's get retail or oem processors? Any difference? I rma'd back my retail FX53 but ordered an oem to replace it since the retail parts were out of stock. My oem replacement arrives today, but I'm considering refusing shipment and getting another retail part, which just got back in stock. Any reason to do that? I obviously won't use the retail hsf anyway.
I have an OEM and I haven't had any trouble. So far, without mods, on an LS I've ran spi at 2947 and 2001se at 2959
I always thought OEM processors will be the LATEST week runs...

BigToe Charlie and sierra. Ive uploaded CG, SetFSB and the .020 and .021 bios for the FM user base. If thats not cool for whatever reason let me know and i'll take em down. If not i'll post up links to clockgen and setfsb downloads in here so sierra and charlie dont have to e-mail em out.

That's fine about uploading SetFSB. That will save me a lot of trouble. :) As for the 1000HT issue, are you talking about the Sandra readings? I've noticed it measures my maximum bus bandwidth at 884MB/s.Quote:

yea. turn off the locks and check sisoft sandra again.

With the lock off, I lose about 300MB/s in Sandra. The bus bandwidth still reads 884MB/s.

I tested it this morning when i 100mb/s behind another FM user at the same settings(must find that 100mb/s!!:mad: )
But at x5/1000HT set. 200x11 2:1 2-2-2-5-7-16 with the locks on it reported at 2x800. But i didnt loose any bandwidth. With the locks off at the same settings in bios it reported at 2x1000.
I dont see how the locks would effect bandwidth:confused:
