I wouldn't flash it before you know for sure it's okay. 1204 seemed okay but DDR2800 strap sucked. Maybe this problem still persist in this 1302 bios?
@Zeus
its ok - if it wasnt - would i have been able to flash it ?! and as u know there is always a way back with USB Flashback. ;)
got to try yourself - i doubt that there are many people around who got CPU with HQ imc/memory - so they could try 2800.
@Alex-Ro provided by SB who had Boot/Post issues and got it from Asus Support
Maybe Raja can chime in with a changelog :)
904 still best for gene. 1101 needs a bump on volts ans 1204 really bad spikes on volts llc aint good so mayne this 1302 is the answer
I use 1101 for 2800 without troubles...but i'm flash & testing 1302 today
You guys are running Hynix based ram, Samsung might be different?
samsung just use another numbers settings in timings zeus but will be the same
Look this maybe can help you ( ues is formula but is the same don't worry )

So I think I've finally got things stable again, needed to reset and start over. Chip needs more voltage for 4.9GHz now than it did a few months ago when I first water cooled it, fortunately it's de-lidded with liquid pro and lapped so heat still isn't an issue but I'm now @ 1.5V for IBT/Prime stability where I was closer to 1.47-1.48 before. I believe the use of the Asus Turbo V software has caused this as there were a few times that I used it and it applied massively more voltage than I called for, spiking up to 1.68V when I asked for 1.48V. Anyone else run into this?
Maximus V Gene bios modded ( 10/05/12 )
bios 1309 - (iRST OROM 11.6.0.1702 + vbios 2137)

Anyone tested 1309?So far it seems stable with same setting as 1101...
I run 1309 atm and its completely stable. I have no issues at all. I also need a little less vcore than 11 and 12 bios.

Maximus V Gene will not go to sleep on bios 1309!
I updated to bios version 1309 and have the same setting as I did on older bios versions, but now the computer refuses to go into sleep mode !
Even when i force it to go to sleep by pressing the sleep button on my keyboard! It just wakes up again!
Anyone else have the same problem
Ps. I am 100% sure I have the same settings as i had on bios version 913 because I have them all written down!
Please advise
I got same problem with Maximus V Formula, same bios dosen't go to sleep wakes up..
Can you check your Windows Control Panel advanced power settings and see if sleep timers are enabled? If so disable...
No they are not just chcked. Btw i did not made ANY CHANGES, just updates bios that is all. Dosen't go to sleep anymore. Again i repeat I DID NOT MADE ANY OTHER CHANGES.
Repeat it one more time for me please :D
Unplug devices one by one and see which one is causing it (if any). Once you know let me know and I will ask HQ.
I will :) Ok Raja so things are like this, i've enabled Offset voltage (instead of manual voltage) and now sleep works fine it does not wake up anymore so things are back to normal i guess :D
Just noticed that a new bios(1408)was recently posted on the official Asus download page(11/15/2012).

MAXIMUS V GENE BIOS 1408
1.Improve system stability.
2.Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/c...Language=en-us
Has any one tested this new bios? Are there any real improvements?
Good news testing later
can you post direct link to bios download, i don't know why but I can't access to bios download...thanks buddy!
Edit
Solved! downloaded without troubles
Has anyone tested the new BIOS 1408 to see if Trim is working with RAID0?
If not can someone mod it to include the latest iRST OROM? The link above for BIOS 1309 with modded iRST OROM is not working. I am using bios 1209 with modded iRST OROM with TRIM enabled but want to flash to either 1309 or 1408 but dont want to loose TRIM.
EDIT:
I got bios 1408 modded with latest iRST from Kingping Cooling.
I downloaded modded 1408 bios, copied to USB flash drive formated as FAT32 and used ROG Flashback procedure.
1408 adds support for new CPUs? Is Haswell coming early?
Edit: oops I forgot Haswell gets a new socket, so what is the added support for?
:D
