alright good cuz i just ordered two from ebay for $3.98 hope they aren't total junk! one more piece of the puzzle out of the way
Alright Mojo update us
Waiting for 2212, I estimate Saturday.
you didn't happen to see if Jaws still has his 2000 quad chip did you? he had to do the same thing you're doing right now.
I just jumped on ebay and bought the cheapest CPU with a buy it now. Ended up being from the same guy we got the 8347s from.
hi guys talking with shoota I found this which seem to be compatible with our setup. Any ideas of compatible fans?
How would a fan mount on those?
Wouldn't. They're meant to be used with forced airflow in a 1U case...

hyper TX3s should work nicely for you guys, cool very well as well
If it helps I'm using these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Xilence-Quad-C...item5ad949b33b on my 2356's with mx3 temps are high40's-low 50's ambient 22deg
EDIT: current ambient= 17deg ...cpu1= 29deg ....cpu2= 31deg
actually that does help but raises another question. how much space do you have in between the heatsinks on the two closest sockets? i'm wondering if a 100mm heatsink/fan will fit..
Was thinking about my above post and had to go check again....EDITED
I'll try to get a pic in about 12 hours....off to bed soon here
Bed already?!? lol
I would love to see the clearance, thanks!
my bad about the fan in there :D
Its ok :) I think we can find all inclusive heatsink/fans that will be easier to get ahold of
oh, and guys...somewhat decent price on 1GB sticks of DDR2 667...

yeah, its what I'm going to be using on mine, I'm just not sure if the armia boards they are planning on have the same spacing or not
The closer 2 sockets are right at 1.75" apart. Here are some pictures:

The sites a little slow, it's what my wife uses for her school.
Also, don't mind the wiring..I have to leave a lot of length so the drawers can slide out individually.
Go ahead and throw me on the list if you will, thanks!
Great pics. Where exactly did you measure from? Not that it matters I suppose, those coolers are a tight fit but I think that will be the story for any cooler.
@lion- consider it done. Keep checking back we're looking to do this relatively soon
