More amazing every time I look at this project.
This definitely needs to be on the MDPC 'to watch' list
Cheers BA, but i can't touch your creative skills of artistry :p:!! I think with enough thought and effort anybody can achieve anything, so don't go selling yourself short yet .
lol he's the first thing that came up when i searched for "thumbs up". It was exactly what i was looking for :D.
Much appreciated, Mr. H! You know i hold your feedback with high regard so it means a lot mate
Traxtorm, zalbard, gergregg, your comments are really appreciated. Thanks for the kind words guys :yepp:.
Thanks for the thought, defect9, although i wouldn't want to bother Nils with a half finished case :p:. That man's busy enough as it is!
Will you marry me?
Sure, why the hell not :p:. Saturday week good for you?? :D
Ok guys, I'll let this thread drop out of sight again so i probably won't be replying for a little while; at least until the next update. Thanks again for the support too, your comments mean a lot .
Later peeps .
hehe ... maybe we won't let you drop this thread out of sight, Callen. Maybe we will keep pressuring you for MOREEEEEE.
And, congrats - Callen and Nat - the new modding dream team ;)
I really wanted to open a project, but after what I have seen here - I leave it better :D
You're not normal - you are an alien...http://smiliestation.de/smileys/Aliens/15.gif http://smiliestation.de/smileys/Aliens/105.gif http://smiliestation.de/smileys/Aliens/43.gif
Holy f**king christ.
I swear, every time I think that Callen's work can't get any better I catch up on old threads and it's like a baseball bat of pure modding ownage hitting you square in the face.
I feel like :owned: <- that right now courtesy of Callens skill.
You are one of the modding wise men :hump:
Just in case Callen doesn't pop back in soon (he is hesitant to respond again until he has another update for us ;)) - a comment for elle ...
I hope you're just joking about not posting your build because of the wonder that is Callen. We are all at different stages in our modding abilities (and needs!). Callen is really taking his mod to the next stratosphere ... but, it's not magic. He's taking his time, he's planning his work, and he's learning how to use his new tools. It's fascinating to watch, and we're all learning a bunch - just as he has learned from others.
So ... please don't let Callen's wonderful work stop you (or anyone else) from posting your project. That's not what Callen would want. Instead, be inspired and give it a go! It's not a competition, it's all about learning, sharing, and enjoying what you do.
Hey Callen, amazing update !
You don't happen to have a tutorial on etching pcb's perhaps? I could google it, but I'd like to hear from you first ;).
Amazing work on the controller. I really dig the whole explanation of the creation process. Definitely will be keeping an eye on this!
truly inspiring....and master pieces...
I wanna thank you for everything, I really enjoy reading all you works.
P/S : If got time, I will like purchase some parts from you... please do let me know if u start taking orders. Here I contribute my virgin post (1st post) to you to show my respect :)
After going through this thread (ok at least checked every photo ;) ) guess I know what a project is like.
So many great ideas and skills in here.
Especially like your 'aquaero-control-center'.
How many fans are you going to fire up with this beast? :D
such craftsmanship, attention to detail and style...this is a real "build log"
cannot wait to see how this develops.
I'll add a bit more pressure. Don't forget about us. Keep it coming! Awesome work on the PCB. Very slick.
You are sick, best DIY pcb's I've ever seen. Love it
Holy sh*tballs! I also just noticed your name on the murderMod website, Congrats mate! Make us Aussies proud. What sort of work will you be doing? I'm guessing producing/designing murderMod products?
Mamma mia! :-)
For some reason, instead of me being happy for you, I find myself mad. Like incensed. I WANT that shop. Not that I NEED that shop, in fact I probably wouldn't know how to work half that stuff, but still.
PS is that a garage, your shop is in, or a climate controlled room. Because I have to go work in my poorly lit garage now, and I'm jealous if that is indeed a room with heat.
any news, Callen ???? We're all just patiently waiting for a little update, any update at all ;)
(and now I'm going to get flamed for leaving false hope that there is an update :p: )
Maybe the New Year claimed him...
Hey guys, since my log got bumped i figured it would be a good time to say thanks to everyone :).
On another note, and I hate to say it but, besides the last couple of cables on the aquaero sled, I have done absolutely no work on this project over the last few months. I have however been keeping very busy on other things :yepp:.
Anywho...
Well you certainly stick to your word, Shaz, i'll give you that :D.
Hi Elle, I hope you took Shazza's advice below and decided to post a project :yepp:.
As a reminder to myself, i keep my 2 previous projects in my XS albums folder. They're pretty embarrassing but I keep them so i can look back from time to time and see where I've made improvements (especially since the 07 build :shakes:). Go take a look and you'll see what i mean, but the point i'm trying to make is we all have to start somewhere, and personally i think starting a log can help you to improve immensely. You get so much great feedback from the community and it really helps to push yourself to do better .
Haha cheers dude. I actually lol'd at this comment :D.
Your exactly right Shazza, but i wouldn't expect any less from you :yepp:. I just hope Elle decided to start a project in the end.. Thank you for jumping in and saying that too ;).
I hope the PM helped mate :). I'd love to hear how the fan controller turned out too! Please send me a message or a link to the work if you get some time, i would be very interested to see it all.
Thanks mate :). I do my best to try and let the pictures explain everything, although this usually results in rather long, drawn-out updates lol :p:.
Thanks for the kind words, aReado :yepp: and for the virgin post too :D.
Unfortunately i still don't have any time for making parts at the moment :(
Thanks dude!
Yeah i'm not google famous yet :p:. It would be cool to be able to google your name and see work you'd done, but would that make me vein?. I'll come back to this another day :).
I know that build, it's great! but the one i was thinking of was a build by NaMcO .
Cheers baldux :). I'm really happy with the aquaero sled too!
I'll be controlling 5 fans in total (3 off of 1 header and 2 off of another). The other 4 headers are for 2 pumps and 2 sensors.
Thanks, Aphex_Tom_9. I put a lot of time and effort into this log so it's great knowing it's appreciated .
Cheers, bud ;). How could i forget about you guys! I do feel guilty for not posting for a while though :(.
Thanks for the kind words, mate.
I knew i had to look into PCBs the second i saw Kibbler's worklog, and when i found out you could DIY, i jumped on board straight away :D.
It took a bit of trial and error but i got them just how i wanted them in the end :).
I'll do my best for us mate .
Your pretty much spot-on about the work i'll be doing too.
Thanks dude :).
That's a spicy meet ball :bravo: lol Cheers mate :).
Hehe yeah i don't really NEED this stuff either, but hey, why not right :D. Most of the fun i had was learning how to use it all too!
The shop is just at the back-end of a garage, so no heating and no need to be jealous . I actually work in ugg boots in winter lol.
You've just set yourself up for disappointment Shazza :D. Besides finishing the aquaero sled power cables, I have nothing to offer at all :shakes:, although, as you know, my time has been well spent :). I'll post a couple of pics of the sled below but it's almost exactly the same as before :(.
lol no, no. I just have other priorities at the moment ;).
Here's a couple of shots of the finished sled cabling. I tried sleeving them all, but realized soon after that they would no longer fit through the hole at the front of the sled :shakes:. I actually like the bare cables in this case anyway :) -

Thanks again everyone ,
Callen.
Thanks, Callen! Ok ... you may not be impressed with your "sled" work - but I really like how nice the cabling/wiring has come out. This part always looks a mess for me. Great job. And, best of luck with all your endeavors.
