So you got a new board i guess? Good to see you're back at it. 1.45V as max tolerable voltage is very little, i can boot with 1.55V easy, haven't tried more actually. Are you sure you haven't overlooked anything? What temps do you get with 1.45V?

Guys I am going for 2800 NB, what is the main voltage to achieve this? I got the NB volt at .225 and the other one at 1.2...I forgot which one is the one lol
it is the cpu-nb voltage (vid)
What was considered safe again for it?
Also vcore for c3 chips..what is considered safe, 1.55 on air right?
Only stock volts is safe. Anything over that is at your own risk and is up to yourself how much you're willing to push that boundary.
For Vcore i would definately stay below 1.55V for 24/7 usage, for CPU-NB i wouldn't go over 1.3V.
On water i'd go one or two steps further but only if voltage helps.
I think "safe" is to much dependant on cooling so very hard to give a number in general. Nobody here (from what i've seen) killed a Phenom II chip by pushing the voltage and some even pushed up to 1.65V.
What if i said: "Oh, these chips can easily take 1.65V" and after a week you come knocking on my door asking me what the hell i was thinking?
That's why i said it's up to you how far you're willing to push the boundery, not because i tried to be a smart@ss. ;)

There was this guide at amd when the Dragon platform came out and 1.35-1.50V were the recommended voltages with high-end air cooling.
Strangely, at this time 955 C2 had 1.50V for maximum voltage on their product description pages (most chips were stock 1.325 or 1.350V), while the newer 965BE C2 had 1.425V max. I guess this makes no sense, given that newer C2 parts have higher stock voltages and similar die.
Now with newer C3 parts, more changes could have happened meanwhile.
I am staying at 1.55 or under for now since it since my chip is "stuck" at 4.1. Still I am very happy with it.
Well, I'm running mine @ 1.5875V from Bios and with drop to about 1.56V on load. I haven't noticed anything bad happened to the chip yet for those 2 months. My old 940 was stable at 3.9GHz with 1.55V and that was my 24/7 clock, but you know, I'm with water cooling for cpu, nb and video, so it helps with higher voltages. All my chips are C2.
I have went to 1.7+ V for bench sessions with cold air and they are still all healthy. But this doesn't mean I say it's safe and to try it yourself :D
1.55V is safe IMO, but you will probably have problems with heat dissipation with air cooling anyway, so anything below 1.55 which you can manage to keep relatively low temperatures is good.
Up to 1.6v for the cores and 1.5v for the cpu-nb is the max I would go on water for a 24/7 setting. For high end air I'd say 1.55v on the cores and 1.45v for the cpu-nb (but combined this is most likely way too much to handle for most if not all air setups). And active cooling for your board is an absolute must.
For someone starting out I'd say 1.5v for the cpu and under 1.4v for the cpu-nb is a good limit to set (on air). This would be considered pretty safe by most people.
just got my 965 C3 a couple of hours ago. It's a 0945GPMW and by the look of it seems that's I've had a good one. This is air, stock in bios vcore, not stable (need to change cooling badly) but usable.

Looking good but is this an "anything" stable OC or just a quick validation shot?
I normally try Cinebench 10 (64bits) as a quick test and if it passes that then I move on to Prime95.
Good luck!
Come on guys isnt anybody pushing for new heights ? lets see some action.
is "stable" for web browsing, I seriously need a new cooler, I'm dropping this si-128se and getting an ifx-14 a couple of nice fans (~65CFM each) because even at 1.4vcore I can't keep it cool  (I had my 955BE C2 undervolted because of that same cooler)
--edit--
ok so far I managed to run cinebench at 4GHZ 1.43vcore [1.45 in bios] (will post pic in a while) but for prime64 had to come down to 3.9GHz and bring down vcore a bit also.

965 under water, ~22c ambient :)

here goes.
been tweaking around with the system so here's 4.1GHz cinebench run:

and this one is 24/7 prime64 stable (currently running boing), just need t oimprove the case's airflow to reduce motherboard's temps. NB:1.23v

wow! what kind of cooling?
yes, NC like phase :)
3:8 divider is golden on this board!

New batch 0946dpmw never get stable P95 @4ghz on 64bit w7

ive noticed a lot of people having a hard time getting 4ghz stable are on am2 boards. what is your vdimm?
anyone have good am2 & am3 boards w/ a good c3 that they could test with? when i get a chance i will throw my c3 in my foxconn a7da-s and see if there is any change in oc's
