Thanks for the update again Don_Dan!

Got to bench an T6670 CPU... Gained some gold medals and a silver for it.... :D That helped me to gain 228 boints total, 6th on our team! Wohoo!:toast:
Now I have 52 medals total, hopefully my profile will be updated soon... ;)
Got some more stuff to bench for medals and hardware boints next week...

Keep pushing it! :up:

Got the new mobile CPU in, gotta do some stuff to the laptop first before I can bench it though, it'll be a few days... ;)
Have a 5870 AND a 5850 in my room right now.... Not going to bench either as the i7 platform has two watercooled GTX 295s taking up the classified's slots (and I don't want to go through the hassle of unplugging them from my loop!) and the P45 rig is in pieces... have to RMA a GTZ waterblock for it too....
So..... not benching right now, but as soon as I can I'll be back on it! :D

I have three unlocked Core i7, two HD5870s and two HD5850, but no time to bench them :(
On Friday we will be benching Core i5 for some 2D numbers (and a W3570, if there's enough LN2 left).

Me and Bill were benching the new 5870's this evening. Not really serious benching, more like fun @ the living room :D

We had to fight a few bugs as well, Vantage produced extremely crappy results with major fps drops and our PCMark score sucked beyond bad at 18900 despite 4x Intel X25-M :shrug:

Oh well, we did beat 30k in 06 at least:

At stock card clocks. We tried to OC them through CCC, but performance actually decreased. We also tried that MSI afterburner utility, but it wouldn't work either. Oh well. The cards are real beasts though they need a 5Ghz+ CPU to go along with their power.

I'm suprised you got 30k with the i7 at 4.2 and stock 2x5870s... amazing!
When you figure out what the problem is with the SSDs in RAID running pcmark 05 could you PM me? I had the same problem... Got 20k with one SSD and got 18k with two in RAID 0... I tested them in hdd tune and they got 500mb/s in RAID as they should... :shrug:

Yes those cards are powerful beasts :D
However, the 920 was at close to 4,4 - with 4,2 we got 29,1k :)
It's not a particularly good chip, plus his wife wouldn't let us open the windows :rofl:

As for the PCMark Raid, yeah that is really weird.. I got better results with my single SSD as well :shrug:

I'm gonna do a few single card runs today, but all I got is Gulftowns, so I can't really upload the results :ROTF:

Got an i7 975 in the rig instead of 920 D0.... we'll see if it can get some better scores!
Figured out my temp problems with this setup, I had too much paste on the CPU and waterblock, also had different kinds of paste mixed....
Fixed it up with some MX-3 and we are getting ~15C lower temps... :up:

maybe its time for e762....but its out of stock...

ill bring the 4 intel ssds over and you can have a go at working them cause im limited to this onboard options...and Kathleen will kill me if i take apart the htpc to test the perc

Yeah we'll do that man, problem is, we'd need an Areca controller for this one... but maybe we'll be getting better results with a tuned array with 2 disks (I have a feeling we will)

i only see it at evga's website...its the 4way sli board..

i really want to kill my cpu with a large amout of voltage but it craps out at 1.73v and above :D

yeah, dont think it has ever been instock there, and the Aus store that lists them for over 700 usd

@ josh yeah i bet 2 will end up being better

We are gonna try and do some benching today guys. Unfortunately I sold my 975, and I can't really bench the Gulftowns :rolleyes:

Oh well, I do have the 3848A w3520... we can do single card 4870X2 and 5870 runs, as well as some PCMark with the Intel SSDs.
